  1. Why not wait with posting until you get home? Sorry, but these kind of vague questions are not easy understand or deal with.
  2. If you download LDD Manager, you can search for LDD brick names and find the BrickLink ID. If you post that ID here, it will be easier to help. EDIT: Or why not take a screenshot of the part and post it here.
  3. In the meantime I just use BrickLink. Now with the LDD Manager tool you can import all the LU bricks, transform them to BrickLink numbers and upload directly to BrickLink. BTW, what is "autoconnecting and autospacing"?
  4. That is a very interesting statement with a much more profound strategic impact than one might first think. You are touching in on stuff that I think TLG are thinking very deeply about right now. How will LEGO design look in the years to come? The engineering world moved to CAD 30 years ago, and haven't looked back. Will it be the same with LEGO?
  5. Yepp, sure looks like good 'ol LDD to me.
  6. Well, the problem is that the conversion between LDD and LDR requires not only the mapping between ID's, but also geometry mapping, since brick orientation is not always defined the same way. It's a lot of work to do this. Secondly, the conversion feature between LDD and Ldraw has not been updated for many years in LDD, so even with the updated ldraw.xml-file provided by Mike Gallahger, there is still a lot of conversion errors.
  7. Hi LDD users. LDD Manager allows you to analyze and manage your LDD files, and to upload Wanted List to BrickLink. There’s also a bunch of other features, like a possibility to search and find all the bricks in LDD Extended Mode, and generate custom Brick Palettes. UPDATE December 2013: The latest version is now 1.25 with support for LDD 4.3.8. If you have a previous version, you should download the new version. NOTE, installing a new version will remove your previously imported LDD-files, but hopefully it's not too much work to import them again. UPDATE 2017: LDD Manager is no longer available for download. Due to time reasons, I couldn't maintain it anymore. Note that this software requires MS Access 2003 or higher. If you don’t have it installed on your PC, you need to download and install the free Access 2003 or 2010 runtime first. Download LDD Manager and help file here. Download free Access 2010 runtime here if you don't have Access allready installed Looking forward to your comments.
  8. OK, no problem. I see now what you mean
  9. This is actually an interesting idea. It's a matter of programmatically creating random patterns of bricks on a surface. Previously there has been ideas about programmatically generating mosaics in LDD from a picture, or generate a sphere of other geometrical shapes. Or generating mountain/landscape structures using fractal theory. Anyway, I don't think TLG will make such a feature (it's a bit too far out ), but it is certainly a cool idea for a fan to do as a private project.
  10. This was a rather strange post You wan't to know if people use the Templates to store stuff (like greebles)? Correct? And why would you make a point that you don't want to share stuff?
  11. This topic is over two years old and contains mostly questions that are not relevant anymore. I hope no one minds if I close it.
  12. I'm not sure I follow Randal. You do read the topic, right? And you did see that ADHO15 did the Taj Mahal just yesterday?
  13. Welcome to the forum!
  14. More people have asked for those wheels, so I'll defintely add those to the wish list. Unfortunately I have no idea if Lego will add them, but we can hope. And by the way, can you please reduce the size of your picture...It's huge
  15. Ha, ha....it seems we had a race here between Prateek the Lightning Bolt and JunkstyleGio the Superman. Could this actually be the beginning of a totaly new nerdy competition genre? I mean, we all heard about speed-building with physicial Lego. But what about with digital ones. I'm gonna have to start investigating some prices for such a super geeky contest. Anyway, that Lambo looks awesome Prateek. And based on the old sig-picture you had, I should have guessed Let's now see what JunkstyleGio will respond with.... The race is on!
  16. Regarding flick-fires, if you use either of the other two 1x1 cones in the brick palette, they will slide fully on the bar. But there is defintely something wrong with the one you used. I'll report it to Lego. Also, I can mention that there is a known problem with attaching both a bar AND a 1x1 cone or 1x1 round brick at the same time on a stud with a hole in it. If you do, bricks will not go fully onto the stud, and will be removed the next time you open the LXF. Below is an image that explains the problem. This bug is however not possible to fix for Lego since it involves more complex way about how the bricks are rendered. It may have been fixed in next version of LDD, I don't know. Image Regarding hubcaps, I'll report that to Lego too. Good spotting!
  17. The Universe Mode activation should work just as well in Vista as in XP or Win7. If you have any further question, please start a new thread in the new LDD forum. To everyone else - so, what do you think about the new LDD forum?
  18. First, to ADHO15: Sometimes a smiley says more than a 1000 words: And the explosion part was just a brilliant touch. Good work! Secondly, to markg - Excellent work on that classic set. And don't be sorry - I don't think any of us can top ADHO15 now. I mean, what is more massive then the Death Star when it comes to recreating official sets? Anyway, love that Lego pinball machine of yours
  19. No way We're not stopping you - you're on a lucky strike now, ha, ha.... Actually, next, I would love to see some of those scale 1:17 cars (the Ferrari, Lamborghini etc), and maybe some of the trains. Those would be a great base for further modding. Keep up the good work!
  20. I think the easiest would be if Lego911 makes a quick LDD model and uploads it - it's kind of hard to understand what he means by just reading the text. Heck, why don't you persude him to join the forum, and perhaps he can share a few of his famous creations. From what I can tell he is the man when it comes to cars in LDD.
  21. OK, guys, we have a couple of good proposals in. Let's wait a few more days for any more entries.
  22. Looks fabulous. Please share LXF-files too as this is the purpose of this thread. Thanks!!
  23. I'm surprised they don't use the new 3L Bar for wands that is in the new collector minifigs series. Would have looked better than those long 4L ones.
