  1. Excellent MOC with a lot of cool details. Like the shower. And the bed with its cover. Super!
  2. Thanks for clarifying that It's not easy to see, must have slipped me by. And regarding price of the architecture series. At the last EB Event in Billund we got to see the factory and the tour guide particularly pointed out that "look, that's where they package the Architecture series. It's all done by hand because of the low series". So guess that can somewhat explain the higher prices.
  3. Hi James Very welcome to Eurobricks. Glad you want to you join us. Here you are among friends
  4. Sorry, no late entries. Same rules for everybody But why don't you enter a LDD Only version of that MOC?
  5. Hi Which OS do you have? And which version of LDD?
  6. Warm welcome to Eurobricks. Hope you will enjoy it here among peers! And may I say that is a quite intresting User name you picked
  7. Hello. And a warm welcome to Eurobricks. I hope you will enjoy it here.
  8. PM sent and I got your reply. THANK YOU HENNING for helping me out with this. You're the man!!
  9. Hey, you did see that the contest ends 18 JULY, so you should have plenty of time!
  10. Well, since I have the others, I guess I have to get this one too No but seriously, I'm not to fond of this one. They should have done more of a architctural highlight building, not an historic landmark. I mean it is called "LEGO Architecture", right? And I would have loved some building outside the US for a change.
  11. You can do that, no problem. But my thinking is that what's the purpose of posting a WIP? I mean, if you get get critic from others and then decide to fine tune your MOC based on that, then is it really 100% your own MOC anymore? A contest is a contest. Do your best, don't cheat, and may the best person win.
  12. I explore my ideas using LDD (isn't that a surprise ). I play around with colors, shapes, brick orientation etc. Sometimes the final result is something completely different then I started with. Because LDD is so much easier to use then other CAD-tools, it doesn't hinder your "flow of creativity".
  13. Regarding WIP, I strongly advice against posting them. It's a competition, and all WIP should be kept a secret at until you are ready to submit your final entry. Final entries should be posted in the Entry Topic (one in each theme).
  14. Did you read the first post in this thread and more importantly, did you read the LU Activation info at the end of that post. There is the exact path of the file you have to edit. PS: I don't know your age, but may I remind you that Eurobricks is and AFOL site, so there's no need for three angry smiles and writing in capital letters.
  15. Hi all eventees. I missed out on one of those red gift boxes from the museeum. Anyone got an extra to spare?
  16. From me to: Welcome to Eurobricks!
  17. Yes, it's OK Sorry, I don't fully understand what you mean. You can use LU mode, or DbM, or Creator or whatever mode you want. But in LU mode you have everything in the other modes, so why not use that?
  18. Shift+ Right Click will do what you want.
  19. Once again Randal, I'm giving you my utmost token of respect, which is this smiley: It's simply brilliant to illustrate movement like that. I've never seen it before!
  20. Yes, the rules has been updated to accomodate this. Up to three images are now allowed.
  21. EDIT: There are two methods. 1) Generate HTML building guide (thanks Zblj) 2) Use LDD Manager. Just import the LXF file and it will show you the piece count. And please not that if you are using minifigs in MOC, they are not included in the 2500 brick limit. This means that the MOC can be 2500 bricks and ontop of that you can use up to 50 complete minifigs. If TLG has produced that exact hair piece in white color, than you can use it. In other words, basically you need to be able to find/buy any piece you use in your MOC at BrickLink. The reason for this is that even thought LDD is used for the design process, we still want to promote that you should be able to build any MOC entered with physical bricks. 1) In class "Only LDD" you must enter both "screenshots" and LXF-file. With screenshot is mean either a straight screenshots, or you can use "Toolbox > Take Screenshot" in LDD. The reason you must enter LXF is to promote sharing of model designs, and also to allow other users to inspect your MOC in a way that cannot be done with physcial bricks, i.e. we want to use LDD to expand the way we see and review MOCs 2) In class "LDD + Physical" you naturally must enter both screenshots and photos. But in this class you do NOT have to send in the LXF-file (if you don't want to). We don't want to push for this in this class, since building the physcial MOC is actually a way to verify the stability and looks of the model.
  22. Please note Randal that it is not allowed to enhance or Photoshop the LDD model screenshot itself. You are only allowed to place the LDD model on a nice background (like a scenary, water, a road etc). You can put up a thread to help people how to place their LDD model on a nice background if you want.
  23. Well, I guess you're right it's not an optimal solution. The idea was to have one thread to discuss the entries, and one to discuss the contest itself. I'll look into cleaning this up. EDIT: Done - the rules thread is now locked and all questions and comments will be in this thread.
  24. No, it has nothing to with that at all. Many of the colors produced by TLG at some point cannot be bought anymore. The only reason we have the rule is that we want to promote LDD as a design tool to use before the building of the MOC, i.e. to close the gap between digital and physcial bricks, and the only way to do that is to allow only manufactured colors. And TLG has no saying whatsoever in how we run this contest. Actually, they don't even want to become affiilated with this type of pure fan-organized contest. All entries will be put together in one thread with all entries in it. Then the voting can start after that.
  25. I see your point, but sorry, I don't have such plans in the pipeline for LDD Manager But maybe someone else knows if such a tool exist.
