  1. Hi Randal Welcome to the LDD talk here at Eurobricks That Mecha looks downright awesome. What technique did you use to get it to look like that? Can you show some before-and-after pics?
  2. We can always ask for ToyStory stuff, but I doubt we'll get it - licenced stuff you know (Well, OK, I know there's a stormtrooper helmet in there, but there's always an exception to the rule )
  3. Be nice! You know soon LDD will RULE the world, and you will all become assimilated....Moohhaaa, hA, HA, Ha, Ha, ha h a a.....No wait! Wrong forum!
  4. When I go into BrickLink and check the pieces you mention, the were last used 2003, 2004, and one in 2006. As far as I understand these pieces are now gone from the Lego system, and replaced by other equivalents (e.g. click-hinges etc). Naturally, we can always wish them, but I thought it be just as good to be honest front up, just so we don't get our hopes high on these parts. Sorry.
  5. Thanks for the reply. It's a perfect example of the good communication the Ambassadors enable between TLG and the fan community. Even so, I'm guessing that it's sometimes hard to get rapid and adequate response from TLG, and I just wanted to let you know that we appreciate the effort you do CopMike
  6. It's time for a LDD challenge again. This time it's actually not as much an LDD challenge as it is a general Lego design one. Have a look at the truck below. See those upside down cheese slopes in the front. The challange is simple - How do you do that? A condition is that all parts must hold together (use the Connected Selection tool to check this). If you think you have solved it, just upload the LXF-file (or PM me if you don't know how to upload). Good luck.
  7. Once again simply outstanding work Johnnhiszippy3 Soon we'll have a pretty impressive library of sets made in LDD.
  8. Absolutetly marvelous work on those Tantive ships! Lookin' really good And regarding 10188 Death Start....NOW we're talking! Oh, and by the way....any chance we'll see those mighty vessels as downloadable LXF-files?
  9. Old parts are most likely not added, unless they are re-issued as part of a new release. At least, that's what I've been told.
  10. Excellent suggestion. I got carried away too
  11. If you do work out problems and fixes with the xml-file, please post your experiences since I'm struggling a bit with it.
  12. Excellent work, Aanchir. The two parts that didn't attach (windshield and tail) I'll make sure to report to Lego. The tail is a bit special because it look like it will not fit in LDD because the studs are in the way, but it has obviously been used in an official set, so something is not right.
  13. Hi Sergio Great news. I'll have to try it out.
  14. The export/import support for MLCad in LDD has not been updated by Lego for some time. There is a guy called Mike Gallagher that from time to time updates the lookup-XML file that converts LDD to MLCad format (ldraw.xml), but there are still some errors, and I don't know if he's still updating the file after the 3.1.3. Anyway, the link to his homepage is in the LDD Inxed Thread. @Aanchir - I agree that it's a bit annoying that the pieces don't align 100%, specially since everthing else is so digitally precise. But my question is: have noticed if this minute shift has led to problems down the line? And also, there is actually one way to align them 100% by editing the lxf-file in notepad. But I guess that's a bit over the top. Besides, as soon as you move either brick, it's back to start again. Anyway, here is the editing result:
  15. I'm defintely concidering it, but it's too early to know for sure. PS: Good to meet you at the EB event Henning!
  16. A great gesture from you Dennimator! Thanks!
  17. Good point. Agree completely. But sometimes I wish Lego would communicate that a little bit better (that they are actually able to maintain the shape etc). Explanatory statements have a soothing effect on the itchy AFOL community.
  18. Good point! Actually, that topic is of so general interest that it should probably be pinned. I'll send a PM to one of the mods. Agree. Even so, I think that it would be interesting to get some TLG feedback, since I guess the ambassadors communicate both ways. Any kind of reply would be good, e.g.: 1) No comment 2) We are aware of the problem and are changing production setup for the future 3) It is supposed to be like that because....
  19. Great work! I think you can actually upload LXF-files even on image sharing sites if you either zip them, or change the suffix to .jpg. Otherwise, why not open a free Brickshelf account. Regaring texting of the word "SHOP", you're idea to at least have it square is excellent. You got me thinking, would it be possible to make like 45 increments with the H and O? You probably have to use some jig to make the 45 degree increment, then place the letters and then remove the jig (in a sence having the H and O floating in the air).
  20. Prateek, isn't that pretty much what I wrote in the post that you quoute?
  21. EDIT- moved to the right forum. Ha, it's kind of funny you guys found this post. As you probably noticed, it's in the wrong forum. But thanks anyway. but what technic piece tube is it?
  22. Does anyone know which these 7 parts are? The one to the left seems to be a minifig hat. The one of the far right is a brick (no battery or similar)
  23. I agree - thanks grogall for the pics. This set is a definte buy for me.
  24. You're absolutey right. My mistake (the look almost identical). x1669 is not in LDD.
