Hi everyone The "Official sets in LDD" is a very popular topic. It seems we're almost getting to the situation where we're risking creating duplicates. So a question is, should we have a "booking" topic where you can post which models you have in the pipe? About the exactness of the models. I think we're all in agreement that the models should be 100% exact replicas of the original set. But at the same time we know that some bricks don't exist in LDD. However, with LDD 4.0 I'm hoping we're going to get several of the missing bricks. Are you guys all in agreement that when get more bricks, we can go back and update our current models? If so, I think it's really, really important that we keep track of which parts are either omitted or replaced by others at the momment. What system can we then have so that we clear about that in our models? Should we list them even more carefully in our posts? Or should the model maker create groups in LDD with the parts that are subsitutes, so they can easilty can be lifted out and be replaced in the future?

Calabar is sometimes away for the week, so he can't update the Index then. We have an agreement about that since we estimated that's more than OK with weekly updates. If you want to know if a model has been done after the index was last updated, I guess the easiest way is to just browse the topic

Please read the rules of the contest. There you will find how to deeplink images (i.e. you do not attach image to Eurobrick forum, but instead upload to Brikshelf, and then link from there. But, please note, you do not have to upload three images of your MOC. The maximum is 3 images.

It sure is Fan created If you click the "Help & About"-button in the program, you'll find the disclaimers there. -
I for one are looking forward to potenial fan mods to this Shuttle set. I'm sure TLG did everything they could, but it's usually possible to squeeze a bit more out of every TLG design. So, what do we have on the list: Ramp, Built-in retractable landing gear, single-winch wing mechanism, motorized wings.... And then off course we're all looking forward to see the Shuttle placed in Mortens Death Star Hangar MOC, which naturally has to be expanded and updated to handle the beast

[Software] LDD Manager

The Windows Script Host (WHS) is integrated in the Windows operating system to allow runing basic scripts. It is enabled by default when installing Windows. In LDD Manager I just use WHS it to hide the warning message that would otherwise come up everytime you open LDD Manager. There are two otions: 1) Run LDD manager without enabling WSH (and live with the warning messages): Just double click LDDManager.mdb-file. 2) Enable WHS and use the vbs-file. It's quite simple to do: http://www.ehow.com/how_5122784_enable-windows-script-host.html PS: As extra info for the curious: If you open the StartLDDManager.vbs file in Notepad, you can see how WHS script looks like. -
Well, it now becomes clear why the TLG Shuttle is so very similar to the fan-built one as discovered before. Just one question now: Did the polish fan (DMAC I think) who did the first version get credits on the box or in the instructions. We'll have to wait and see I guess.

Hm, kind of intesting idea! It could maybe be possible to interact with the PAB web-page programmaticaly from LDD Manager. Find the controls on the PAB web page, move the cursor there and paste the various elements. However, I'm not to sure how many would use it since the PAb prices in 97% of the cases are more expensive then BL. Off course there is the convinicence of getting most of the bricks you want in all the colors from one "store" (i.e. PAB), and that can be worth some. But then there is the issue that PAB does not have all the bricks and colors that are in LDD LU mode (which I guess most of us use). Even so, I'll add this request to the "investigate a bit more" list and we'll see. -

It's still not possible to download your LXF-files from brickshelf. "Folder still not public"-thing. Have they not yet been moderated? Or is there some other problem? And regarding bonnet fastenter, you're right, the required brick doesn't exist in LDD since the set is so old.

Well, I have to agree, it's very, very similar. It might be that there is only one way to build a shuttle like this, but I'll be damned if the SW designers at TLG at lest didn't look at this when they did their version. More picks here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=124587

The Danes actually have a Queen at the moment, so I changed the title of your post from "King" to the more generic "Royalty" - hope that was OK. Also, for general knowledge, when a Queens marries, her husband in many countries get the title of Prince (like in Denmark), not King.
