  1. Thanks for pointing it out! Floating in space No but seriously, thanks for the example. However, I'm leaving the question open if anyone has seen that technique open in a more recent set (from the year 2000 and forward).
  2. Well, there is allready a calender here at EB, and I think it's perfect to use for managing the exact dates. However, the purpose of this calender is to be a sort of reference. I've found that IP-board style calenders, Google calenders etc tend to miss out on many events and they don't give you an nice yearly overview. Thanks for the tip! I'll have a look at it.
  3. Please, please do the Camel too. Then you've (and the index here at EB) have got the whole series In the meantime, I'll think about something regarding the off-set. Regarding tan, I'm not in front of LDD right now, but hopefully some helpful soul can take a screenshot of the color palette and show which one it is. EDIT - allready done by Prateek it seems. Thanks!
  4. Thanks! I've changed it now.
  5. Ever wondered when the major Lego fan events happen? Or when we are likely to see TLG release info about upcoming sets? Or when that building contest start? Look no further - check out the new EB Yearly LEGO Calender for a handy overview of a typical Lego year.
  6. Interesting build Prateek. Haven't seen any of the Lego games in LDD yet. (Hm....makes me wonder if you can play the Lego games on LDD Ideas, ideas...)
  7. Beautiful job on this one too. Love it. (But I didn't quite get it about the Sopwith Camel - did you allready make that one in LDD, or is it in the pipeline ) EDIT: Just noticed that the tan color is not really tan in your model but the similar "Light Nougat". If you can replace it with tan (or Brick Yellow as Lego calls it) and update the post, that'd be super.
  8. Well, Boris - I'm glad you found Eurobricks, and the LDD forum. You are more then welcome to come back anytime with questions, participate in the discussions or show your latest LDD/LEGO work.
  9. The problems is that (to my knowledge) BrickHelper doesn't support allt the bricks in LU mode, only the ones are in DbM and Creator Mode. And by support I mean translating the Lego Part number to the BrickLink part number. Mostly the Lego and BL numbers match, but not always.
  10. Great job there ashir! However can you please check so that you have used the correct colors, and then update your post with a new jpg and LXF. The roof should for example be Dark Blue. The patio and other trimings should be Tan etc. (All using BrickLinks color terminology). A small point. This set was allready done in LDD some time ago. IF you check the index first, you will see it's been done. Naturally you can do it anyway if you want to, but the nicest would be if you did a set no one else has done
  11. Fantastic job yellost! I have this model with real bricks, and just love it. That and the british plane...
  12. It'd be cool if someone could make a jig/custom setup of some kind. Maybe some track elements wrapped around a sprocket like you propose Aanchir. Something you could cut and paste into your own models.
  13. Hi Count Welcome to the LDD side of Eurobricks. Hope you'll enjoy it here. Regarding your question, the problems is that there is no connectivity defined for the sprocket to connect the track element. Basically it'a bug in the brick. It's one of the shortcomings of LDD that we're hoping TLG will fix soon.
  14. TLG version without any doubt what so ever.
  15. I knew Calabar had the answer - he always does (I particularly can understand the "minimize workload" aspect. This topic has got to be one of the fastest growing on Eurobricks).
  16. Sure I'll help. Have you done the following (use as checklist): 1) Read the instructions of the first post carefully? I'm asking since several thousand users have made this work without problems, so there must be some step you are not following. 2) Install LDD version 3.1.3 3) Check so that you are looking in the right path. Please post the full path to the folder you are looking at. 4) Unhidden the AppData folder: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=40794&view=findpost&p=720082 5) Looking at the right AppData folder (as indicated in the first post of this topic)? 6) Do you have administrative right on the computer?
  17. Well, I've said it before, and I say it again - an amazingly good magazine. Could without doubt compete with BrickJournal as being one of the most initiated LEGO publications we have.
  18. What do you mean by upward. Please try to be more specific on the forum. BTW, I find that using the browsers Find-function is great for finding if a set is done
  19. There is a topic for this subject here: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=30439 I moved the posts to that topic!
  20. Hispabrick Magazine is without doubt one of the best Lego magazines around. And it's free. Now they have a new issue out. Check it out and download here. Among the content is an inteview with TLG owner Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen.
  21. OK, let's agree that we are both right, they have both there strong points
  22. You're right on all points And no, LDD Mgr does not show exact position, but it could, since place within categories is decided based on boundary volume. This way the LDD team doesn't have to manually place the bricks every time a new one comes in - it's done automatically. Good for them, not so good for us users, who would like a more logical sorting. Anyway, personally, if I want to find a brick, since I know roughly the size of the brick, it doesn't take so long to find where it is within the category. Just my 2 cents. And Peeron? No way - BrickLink rules No, but seriously, BL and Peeron are in terms of part numbers almost identical, but my feeling is that BrickLink quicker adopts the official Lego numbers. And since BrickLink is used by 100 times more people, it is becoming the de-facto standard. And you can order bricks from BL. Well, that's how I see it anyway. On the other hand...if we get a "search for brick" in LDD4 in September (which I have heard rumours about), hopefully that will make it sooo much easier to find bricks - and it will solve the problem of finding the bricks in the categories. However, such search function will only support Lego brick numbers and names, not Peeron or Bricklink.
