Triple-barreled Zurg gun and Robot minion
Darth Legolas replied to YG-49's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Very nice, the gun works great but the Robot looks perfect! They really match the movie! I would do something about that left arm, but the look of the robot is really great! -
Parts you wish TLG would use less of
Darth Legolas replied to jonwil's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Many people voted that best part of the year! I don't have any particular pieces on my list in general, but I really dislike any piece that doesn't connect well with others. -
Perhaps people were able to get the ugly one-piece legs off of the newly released pen, and attached the top to some gray legs and are trying to scam people.
-
Now you've confused me. I know it's five sided, I'm pointing out the printing... Is that okay? I don't think the CTT will attach to the LAAT/C, I don't even think it can in the movies!
-
Okay, thanks to the video, we can now see this cockpit is different from the one on the box. You can't argue with the video, as it is the clearest thing on Earth. Thank you! Thanks for the picture ILikePi! It has a freeze on the cockpit. The new Han looks great as he fits into the Carbonite mold. The Theta looks much better from these pictures, but the CTT is just awesome! I love everything about it, and the final minifigs are great! Just a couple more days until we get full-fledged pictures!

I've never seen a Tusken with gray legs. Even the cheap pens have it right. Where did you see a gray-legged Tusken?

Apparently, the 8284 set had two different boxes. With the exact same piece, one box had the Dune Buggy as the main model and one box had the Tractor as the main model. Does anyone have an explanation for this? http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?S=8284-1 http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?S=8284-2 Thanks! EDIT: While you're at it, can you tell me what a dynamic image tag is, and why all of the recent pictures I've tried to post that aren't my own come up as one?

Has anybody done the presidents as MiniFigures?
Darth Legolas replied to B-Lister's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
The blond-er Palpatine hair would suit quite well in the gray's place. The Mount Rushmore is very good! I wonder is someone could do a mini Mount Rushmore using the old gray head from the Harry Potter ghost! -
It's angering Lego didn't give Bionicle one last shot, unless there will be some sort of out-of-nowhere surprise. I think Indy deserves one super set to finish it off, but I doubt it will happen. Signed-Darth Legolas.

Okay, but I'm just going to say, the right side, high-quality pic still has three sides. It's almost like saying Lego changed the Wampa because I didn't like it. Lego always changed prototype molds, and if you go through history cockpits are often changed. The cockpit definitely has three sides in that picture. But we agree to disagree, yes? EDIT: I see the lines you pointed out, they are very faint, but I still think the cockpit is lower and has a different lifting mechanism. That's really hard to see though.

You just drew 5 green lines on a 3 sided shape, if you just pointed out the previous picture has 3 sides, and now you are drawing it with five sides and saying the images are the same, you are contradicting yourself. The box picture clearly has 3 sides, while the model has 5 and opens differently. You cannot possibly say the box image has a five sided cockpit, and if the second box picture had 5 sides, then you just proved yourself wrong. But the box pictures are exactly the same and the models are different. Just look at your own picture, 1,2,3, on the left side.

You two are not looking... I've posted it three times, look at this picture: The box hasn't changed but the model has. And for clarification: Thank you. EDIT: One last huge image!

For the Original Movies they had to build every one of the sets. When the Falcon couldn't get out of the Tatooine hangar door, they had to build the Death Star around it. Almost the entire Prequel Trilogy was digital, there was no real feel to it. If you look at the death of Mace Windu before it's affects, it's just Samuel Jackson jumping off a metal platform 2 feet on to a mattress in front of a purple wall.

They've rarely messed up big, just a few missing pieces here and there. I honestly think the reason the CTT was all mess up is so you could see inside, though I don't understand why they didn't have the outside even attatched. I think these are pretty final, still some more work as we see the Wampa is back one stage, so the sets are further a long than that. If there's anything to change now, it will be very minor. Thank God they fixed that cockpit!

Thank you. I think that the show could turn around, but there is almost no appeal to the original audience. When Star Wars was released back in '77, it was really for 10+ kids who thought it would be cool (which it was.) Then the prequels started getting more geared towards the new generation, but even younger kids than before, with silly things like Jar Jar Binx. Now 10-year-olds will probably make fun of each other for watching the Clone Wars. It simply gives no satisfaction to 7+ kids, because the advertisements are just so stupid they make you want to close your shades while watching so nobody can see you. This isn't just gunning on it because it's not the same as the Original Trilogy, it's just stupid. There's no real conflict, there's almost no plot, and I really can't take the new ships every day. I think it could be a lot more serious and a huge viewer audience can pick up on it. That other Star Wars show idea, which I'm now convinced will never get it's gears turning, the one about Boba Fett, that had a huge appeal to me, and certainly to old OT lovers. It could have been a little cheesy, but not just stupid the way the Clone Wars is. They say it's geared toward kids, but if someone were to do a poll, kids might be too mature to watch something like that! Blockbuster/local video store/netflix. EDIT: Oh look! I'm a duke. That's an average of 5 a day... every day. I'm not a loser!

It's wither that or just the angle on one of the short Clone Commander blasters. Though it might be new as those blasters always come in sets of two with Clone accessories! Though it also looks like a broken blaster. Who knows? Sadly, I'd have to that you seem very... attracted to the Slave I. Kidding. Anyway, If there's a single set that has way too many conflicting colors it's the shuttle. It's just too much like the others, and way too weird of a color scheme for me. I think maybe if they cut down on the studs and made the colors more concentrated in areas on the outside it would look great. The real theta shuttle was just one shad of gray with white at the edges. The wings also look a bit delicate.

This takes "Chicken Walker" to a whole new level.
-
Oh... that makes sense. It definitely looks more like a Commando Droid to me! I wonder why Anakin has his helmet on in the shuttle. Perhaps since it will be under the clone wars brand they want to change/hide his face so little kids who just like the TV series won't see their hero scarred up and melting with the supreme lord of evil?

If you consider not having used that Lego for years, it's like getting a boatload of brand new sets, and think of all the memories you'll open up! Right now I'm just jealous of that pack of pneumatic parts. I just got into them with the Log Loader, and I'd really like some more! Lucky!
-
Too much. If time on here counts, the only time I'm not with my Lego is when I sleep and work, and watch TV. I only do something out of the ordinary once a week. I even eat with Lego! As of right now I have 3 unopened sets, and I just opened a fourth. Call me pathetic, but I guess you can say I choose the way I want to live. I'd say I might be a good 1% of their income, or if not, my total spending added up over the years would be one percent currently...

I don't get it, besides the track, how is that Duplo?
-
Oh you're right, well at least you can see it here, right? I wonder why the link doesn't work... must be some protection on the blog or link error. Look carefully, there are 5 viewports as apposed to three, and the cockpit is raised lower... it's a different mold, I have no doubt. Just look one more time...

You missed a couple, anyway, the Wampa is a revert from what we already have, but these pictures are nice. Cad bane is wielding a lightsaber and a clone has the wrong helmet, clearly that's prelim, but we were right about Aayla. Greivous looks totally new, and check out his cockpit! http://krisabel.ctv.ca/image.axd?picture=2...2010swars16.jpg Thank God, it's different! I knew it! They may not have changed much, and the model might be broken, but this cockpit has 5 viewports and the last one had 3! Look, it's more shape-ful! The medical droid horrendous though... Odd to see a Scout Trooper in one of the pictures, seeing as all of the sets shown were from 2010... perhaps a glimpse from the next Endor set rumor? Commando Droid by the wheels!
