What? What the heck? Why isn't this frontpaged yet? This is, undoubtedly, among the greatest Modular Streets to date! The individual buildings are nice, but the way they are all put together is the best part! The train tracks in the back add so much as well! This has to be frontpaged.

Magnet sets have plain, regular minifigs, 100% resembling the real things, able to take apart and such, just lower quality plastic, and slightly altered printing. I really don't mind those slight changes though, they're only noticeable if you really, really care. The main problem was, as said, the Royal Guard, with almost translucent red for a torso and legs. Well, the printing is different, you can say that. Sometimes the printing gets smudgy, but if you like the magnet variation, there's no argument against it. The only beef I've had with the printing is when I unknowingly picked up a Mace WIndu magnet with red eyes! Luckily, when I got my Royal Guard, I inexplicably had a spare Royal Guard torso and legs, the correct red. I just plucked off the high-quality head, and stuck it, along with the cape, on to the good torso.

Sweet, Admiral Ackbar magnet set! Now I have no reason at all to buy Grievous's fighter, and this will definitely be cheap!

[MOC] Snow plow
Darth Legolas replied to Fistach's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I just figured out how you got the lights to blink. Now that I have a set of blinking lights, what should I do with them? Honestly, this is a very impressive MOC. I'd like to know how you worked out your steering. Everything I try to make an RC steer either overheats the motor or is just plain ineffective. If you could post some more "how it works" shots, I'd really appreciate it! -
Right. It would be a really bad idea to ruin a Jango helmet, considering those things go for $100 a pop. It would be in best interest to ruin and defile one from those cheap pens.
-
I think he means the newest Slave I, the last set to have old Boba, but really you could use any Boba Fett helmet at all, as well as a Jango one, you could just go buy the new Magnet set, and then with a white body and a good paint job, as well as the decal mention, you have a concept Boba.

Well, there's the thing. I got what I wanted with Boba, he's an A+ figure. Grievous, on the other hand, is not. To me, he's a near ideal fig with a total abomination of a head. It's disproportionate wit the 'fins' being way, way too big, and the cartoony look is just a huge let down. The Grievous isn't "overdetailed" to me, I like detail. I'm not "stuck in the past." I'm all for increasing in detail, but not increasing oddness. Not to mention, Grievous isn't that tan. He's more of a yellowed white. I'd say the body's an improvement, the head is down the tubes. P.S. Clearly from the picture I provided, Grievous should have four mouth thingies, not three, four!

I'm talking about this. When I go on the "posts" option, it gives me current internet events from random websites. So what does this website do? What is it all about? It makes next to no sense to me. Not to mention, my security system tells me this site is iffy, but it is run by Lego. Thanks!

Agreed. Funny that you don't have one, Vertea, I swear I have about 50 of each. I still haven't found a MOC to throw them in yet! Oh my God... inspiration! Off to build!
-
EDIT: Never mind. I'm stupid. Well, you learn something new every day!
-
Sorry for the biased title, this is what a lot of people describe them as, so I figured people would know what I'm talking about. I'm going to have to disagree with you on the menacing look of Grievous though: I'm not too sure it will be good quality...

The boxes are the same old boxes that we saw in September, that's n older image! The Bossk out of the box is definitely the more finished one. Honestly, I wouldn't mind that creepy little fig so much if it weren't for his head. The torso is admittedly and improvement, the arms are the same, the legs are better, but his head looks like a big ugly cartoon! It's possibly the worst minifig I've ever come across. Unfortunately for me, that fig is definitely final.
-
His skin color varies depending on the source, in the movie, he's brown/tan, but every other picture of him is green. Nope, never... I'm not even sure what you're thinking of. They made other Geonosis sets though, not the arena.
-
I'm talking about these guys: I would got for choice number 3. Boba looks really good, Grevious looks really bad, to me. Vote away! By the way, if you have a different opinion, feel free to tell me and I'll add it as an option!
-
No picture eh? Glad you could confirm it, curse you TLG! Thanks! About three posts above you. We've all seen it, thanks. I'm really going to have to disagree with you there, Boba might be a little bit detailed compared to other minifigs, but Greivous is the only who looks like Megabloks. The only thing resembling Lego on him are parts of his arms and that he has stud connections on his feet. Wikia entry is right.

Oh my God! Two little toys, exactly like that thing, have been passed down in my family since it's existed! That's such a beautiful representation, looking at my two, yours captures is perfectly! This touched me! Excellent, excellent MOC!

Certain TRU's have sold Republic Gunships for $130, but other than that, I guess you're right! Never noticed that. By the way, is that puny room about 4 studs wide and 6 blocks high supposed to be a baby Chamber of Secrets? EDIT: Wait... it has chairs. The Slitherin gathering room thingie?

Well, this is a sad ending to an otherwise great day. The fact that I just built a huge set is keeping me from crying. Shame that none of the exclusives were shown, but the big three are officially confirmed, the AT-AT, 10212, and Cad Bane's Speeder. The leaves the others to be questionable, as only the Midi-Scaled Star Destroyer is a non-confirmed rumor with a set number. SDCC could be a place to reveal a set, but I couldn't see it with Cad Bane's Speeder as it seems to be an August exclusive. Maybe 10212 could be released there?
-
Well, just logged on, but it feels faster already! Thanks! EDIT: The entire 2010 picture and rumor topic loaded in 20 seconds! Now that's great! With this taste of heaven, I could never imagine going back to the old one.
-
I don't see how that's possible at this point, you know, now that Lego gave out a pamphlet with both sets listed on it. Unless you were joking.
-
You got what I meant all wrong. CommanderFox thought there was a picture of the Tactical Droid, but there is none. The battle droid is a placeholder, and I was telling him that there was nothing to see yet.

Leonardo da Vinci Flyer
Darth Legolas replied to mahjqa's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Very, very good idea! The human is very articulated, and I love the moving legs and the fact that the arms can steer. Perhaps it's not an original design ( ) but this is a great representation of the idea! You did a really good job on the wings, I love the whole thing! Good luck! -
Ouch. There's a pretty big hole in my theory. In fact, that's my whole theory right there! Hmm... this may be a problem. But I still stick with my faith in TLG. Considering they did drop out hints of these exclusive sets, there is still time for them to come up! Perhaps it is less likely, but I am set on something new popping up before this ends.

You realize that's just a placeholder picture... it's a battle droid. I guess that even Toyfair sets are still left without major details. I'm hoping it won't look stupid like Grievous. I've said this already, I am very sure that just as last year, Lego will show these to us on the last day of the Toyfair. I think that would be tomorrow. In fact, I can prove my point, just wait a few minutes. Welcome to Eurobricks! EDIT: Here is the day the AT-OT and Dropship were premiered: February 15, 2009 Here is the day the Toyfair began: Wow... what do you know, I can't find it. I'm assuming it was February 11th, but there is no clear opening date in the 2009 topic. I guess that compromises my evidence. Well, we'll know if that was true or not tomorrow!
