I know that it's always great to get an other Jedi, but if it were up to me, I'd cut Fisto right our of the ARC. Kit could go straight into Greivous's ship and add another $10 to it ( ), and then replace him with another pilot. I love Captain Jag, but I feel another of the generic pilot is needed. But here is Lego's evil and malicious plot (though I love it!): In order to complete the death of Plo Koon you will need: Plo Koon's fighter ARC-170 And of course, a Theta-Shuttle for the third pilot. If Kit were aboard the order 66-ARC, it would be kind of wrong. Now at the same time, in order to complete the Clone Wars episode "Lair of Greivous" you will need: Again, the same ARC-Fighter for Kit Fisto, and then Greivous's Fighter. And if you aren't picky, you could use Ahsoka's fighter as Kit Fisto's as well. I may just pick up Greivous's fighter for the Mon Cal head and the new Grevious and droid.

You need a MOC expert badge! This is another great MOC you have put out for us! I love the size and detail! The interior is great! I don't know about the TIE cockpit in the back, but it's still brilliant. I don't know how the minifigs sit in there but it seems they do!

55% Lego Star Wars! EDIT: Whoops, my last sentence made no sense. So it's been 2 years (whoa!) and I've got 1913 posts. I need a life. (Yes, I am asking for it KimT!)

Thanks for calling the Ice Cutter by it's proper name. I don't really mind the light helmet on the Imp, after a while of having two of them, it's sort of grown on me, but I wish they would have added the old polarized visor. I guess they didn't for cost though. Then again, they did add the orange visor to Zev...

I know I'm not one to collect these things, but this is one modular building i have to have. I've always envied the amount of pieces and detail put into these, but now the interior and the exterior are simply to beautiful to ignore! I hate to kiss away money, but my mind is set! The awnings, the escalator, the chandelier, the whole design is brilliant!

Minus the utterly ridiculous names, I don't see much to complain about here.

Now I feel like building something really big. The detail on this thing is awesome! I mean really, that's huge! Larger than any Star Wars cruiser Lego has made! I love the cargo pods and the interior and exterior go perfectly together. Even thoguh the shape is basically square-ish, it works so well, especially covered with that amount of detail!

Imperial Freeco Bike? The resemblance is so clear, but this is so much better! It's so detailed and what great techniques! Welcome, and great MOC! EDIT: Just saw the landing gear fold-up technique. Genius!

You know, I think everything there is fair and predictable except Greivous's fighter. It looks terrible, and the original one, more accurate in ship but only lacking minifigs was so much better. I am beginning to actually hate what TLG is doing with the Soulless One. Plo's Fighter is only $5 more than Anakin's, as everything is these days. Palpy's shuttle seems big enough to be $50. The new Slave 1 appears to be huge! The Clone TUrbo tank is definitely large enough to be $120. Just like the RGS. And the Wampa cave, here's an equation: Speeder=$20. Cave=$20 SW License=$10 Add it all together and boom, $50! Not really. The ship was only piloted by one, but it was as long as two Delta JSF's and as tall as one sticking upward. That's pretty big. It might have had a really large cargo hold. From what I see the set is pretty huge. Maybe $70 is more around the dot, but if you think back to all Lego, everything is $5 more so just adding $20 to it is less than what it would normally be these days. And I don't think we should complain. The Europeans really have the bad pricing!

Should I get this set or not? I've been going back and forth for a while now. I'd love some new minifigs because I only have 1 not messed up C-3PO which I will never remove and incomplete-ify my Death Star, and I could use the ship and the Stormie is great, but I really don't think I can get much build experience out of it. Perhaps I'll build this and the Swamp Speeder at the same time.

So, right now I'm almost done with part 2 of my PF Lego integration experiment (testing for me, that is.) Now I have my big automated ship thingies nearly built, maybe a hundred or so more pieces left to be splashed on and a couple of more motors to be shoved into the empty slots, but I'm stumped. I have four great Sci-Fi minifigs to go with the ship, but the don't exactly fit in... and even take away from the MOC! I need a crew to go well with the ship but not to take a center stage. Just a population that doesn't look terrible to inhabit my hovercraft. What do you do when finding the right minifigs for your MOC? I always save minifigs for last because they're the hardest pieces to decide on. I think right now I may buy some Toy Story Battlepacks to get army men. Should I use they're green faces as aliens, or their helmets for human soldiers? Discuss!

Normally, I'd have expected you to say something along the lines of: I don't think Lego has the same standards as customizers. There priorities are to make as few new molds as possible with as much accuracy as possible... without using new molds. I do agree with you. I forgot we already had a defined set number for the AT-AT, but if not it could well be anything. We don't have any proof of what 10212 is besides the minifugres. I'd still go forth and say It could well be an Endor landing pad. If Lego's trying to get as many LSW sets as possible in before 2011.

I was referring to them in Lego piece terms. I'm surprised you didn't mention brain tails. From the prototype picture they seems to be two separate pieces, but that may just be a placeholder. Maybe Lego will just take Arealights design and pay him a few thousand dollars?
-
I think it was a joke. Lego is really good with licensed characters these days. They'll probably come with the Burrow set.
-
I still trust rockinkurt. I don't know why everyone disregards him completely just because he types really badly. I don't know, but most of the things he said so far came true, weather he was true about the source or not. On the other side, I don't understand why everyone's so sure that it's a UCS Lambda. Could they not be the minifigs of an Endor AT-AT, plus an AT-AT Pilot or two? I think the head will come in two pieces. The top part "hair" will be her head tails with a molded band that might descend a little over the forehead. It will probably be molded but not it's own piece. The bottom part will be a normal minifig head.

Thanks! I've been working on it for a while. Trial-and-error has been the whol project! That covers my question on electricity, thanks! Thanks! That actually makes a lot of sense! I think I'll do that. The smaller gear turns faster because there's less of it to turn! Will do! I think I can get it all done now.

I don't pay much attention to city, so this is a revelation to me. 5-wide is a great idea for trucks. It maintains the shape but adds so much more room for detail and awesomeness! I think I've just been inspired! Very nice MOC you have there! I love the yellow barriers and water thingies! They look good when loaded together. 5-wide... who'da thunk it?

The single Star Wars set that I've never actually seen out of the box, until now! Thanks for the review! I've never understood Lego's decision making when putting tiny astro droids in giant UCS sets. The set looks very nice, but I don't collect UCS, but that's the only thing stopping me from delving into Bricklink and buying one. The front is a bit blocky, but the level of detail on this set is astounding! I'd love to have a new-hinge version of the storage compartment piece. Thanks for the review!
-
Honestly they look about the same. One part of the old one is bigger, but the new one only seems to have about 50 more pieces. Thanks though!
-
Please use a better image hosting site, like MOCpages, brickshelf, or flickr. The site you're using is a little wacky. Thank you for the picture though! If you have the old Swamp Speeder, I'd really appreciate a comparison photo!
-
Nice review. Bricklink made the horrible mistake of listing the wrong minifigs! They better fix that soon. I really wanted this set, but the price is simply outrageous. That think is worth only 30 and at most $40 in my opinion. It's simply not worth the price at all. The build also seems repetitive. I think the only new piece there is the new TIE Pilot helmet.

Please read before posting. Cavegod: You would be surprised. I know I'm not nearly as good in MOCing as Rocko, but most of my good MOCs I never post here because my pictures would ruin them. On a recent MOC I'm making, the thing ways about two pounds, an the entire thing rests on 7 protruding studs that fold up as landing gear. Lego's very durable. I would guess that the would be another point of attachment for the legs, but it seems not. On my AT-AT MOC, only a little bit bigger than the motorized one, I really like it by the way, but the feet are wrong so it's still a WIP, the legs are the good old fashion ones that TLG used on the first AT-AT. I used the joints from the 2006-7 orange Exo Force tank. It looks bad if not covered up, but it could work well on a MOC like this.

It seems that the "airline promo" will be the first non-Atlantis set to use the new bubble cockpit? I don't think it will be an airline promo though. None recognizable to me. It also looks more like a wide release set. It may be a private plane to go wit the airport. I also want to note the "tank truck" seems to be a system scaled version of the duplo truck, and if lego does as they always do, with their clever little passes, there may be a technic set of the tanker in the future. Note the tractor was made into a technic set. EDIT: Can't find a picture of the tank truck, but here's something worth noting: See? Note reverse colors of the 2010 tractor.

Is there still any hope that it's simply a prototype piece. I'm sure they'll use a new cockpit, but Lego will throw away every ounce of accuracy in Star Wars they've ever built up to by using that thing! GB wasn't always a targeted marketing zone? Also, why would Lego release a poster with the minifigs from the supposed Imp Base so soon? Will it be a spring release like the LAAT/C and AT-OT, to be revealed at a convention, or did they put the minifigs on early by accident?

So are these minis going to be available everywhere or are they going to be exclusives, which everyone hates because nobody can get them? I know this topic isn't about availability, but do we know anything about them? On topic: KimT, with your vast LSW knowledge, do you think TLG will change the (hideous) cockpit on Greivous's fighter? I'd really like some info on that.
