  1. Thanks to the 2 who replied. I will post my own Luminara fig soon. I also had a Kit Fisto but I just got the real one! I'm working on a Galactic Marine (looks like a snow trooper, but with red on helmet) trooper, and it's turning out great! I forgot to mention but if you want to make a darker color such as dark red, get a black marker and blend it into the tip ofthe red sharpie. It works perfeclty, except for blue, which turns out purple!
  2. Well... after this holiday season I'll be 100% broke. I'll need to start saving up, then I'll but 1000 of those! I never even knew those sets existed until now! Thanks again!
  3. I don't know how you do this... but these are all so great! I might need to get another couple of RA Gunships to put these on!
  4. It's awesome how you did this. You found substitutes for all of the pieces of the republic gunship the way they'd have been made in like... the 1800s! Great job!
  5. I really love how you did this, I really really do. It's not the style Lego generally uses but this is much more accurate! It's amazing how similar it is! But I have a question... how did you print of those decals? EDIT: nevermind, still, great job! 100000000000/10
  6. Great Job. I prefer the one made by Lego, considering it has more color, but great job! 8/10
  7. I used to be a hard core BZP member. Then Star Wars abducted me and since I have only checked every month or so.
  8. Definitely not Bus Driver. His hands were all wrong. Sandy I agree with, and is the winning vote, because she brought in the underwater helmet.
  9. Hey... can I ask a question? How'd you whiteout the symbols on Rex's helmet? Can you tell me what you used?
  10. My TRU got in the other 2 sets today! I now have all of the holiday sets! Now for Ahsoka's starfighter and Doou's Solar Sailer... Speaking of which... Dracula Dooku?
  11. I finally saw it! I didn't realize but when you choose click-through on the video it plays the 4th one! I hope Lego fixes that soon. But what really deserves a thumbs-down is definitely that Dooku. I REALLY hope they shange it from Dracula hair!
  12. Great news everyone! My ToysRus had pretty much all of the 22009 sets in, except for Indy Jones the RAS and the Hyena Bomber. I got 2 Clone BPs, 1 Assassin BP, and 1 AAT. Oh and the old JSF and Booster ring (Yes! I gots me a kitty!) So I aqdvise people to place there bets on ToyRus having them in by the holidays. They must've had some sorta deal considering Lego itself doesn't have them yet!
  13. Hey the speeder isn't half as bad as I thought'd it be! Good set, definitely. I LOVE that new pic of the solar sailor, I can tell from the pic Dooku has a curve-hilted saber! So far I love 2009! But Rcpeck... where did you get these???? I must know!
  14. Poor Copmike. I would imagine that DV would do more damage to him if that blasted minifig Copmike uses as himself came apart!
  15. I'm wondering... are these old news? Shuttle Pics (click)
  16. As for sets: I am clueless. But I'd really like some senate guard minifigs. (They're like blue imperial guards.)
  17. This proves I'm new, don't it? Now to find the perfect way to make a piece white...
  18. Hey sorry again if that title gag has been used before. By the way, as my siggy says, I'm Plue Nuva from bzpower... I like everything Lego... and yeah. I am going bonkawankabananas over the 2009 sets. I think Lego's greatest year was 2008, and I'm hoping 2009 will be greater! And you can tell that I'm definitely a true hardcore fan because I can withstand a positive attitude when looking a the horrible detachable speeder from the AAT! Baaaad call. So now that I'm here on this site, brace yourselves to see a lot of ! I'm known for that tongue... oh and my blue hau (Bionicle fans should know what that is.) I am planning on having the full Clone Wars collection by the end of 2009. If I get there I totally deserve 1000 dollars. You can all pitch in! XD So hi.. and... hi!
  19. 3 Darth Lego's? And I'm the newest? You guys made me a stealer! So... hello!
  20. My poor little SBD died a few weeks ago. His legs broke. I was too lazy to dig up the instructions and get a replacement... so I just glued it back on. It's not like SBD's bend over anyway! Plus, I have seven more (soon to be 11 (AAT FTW!) Another Battle Droid of mine broke his arm... but that was an old one from 2000!
  21. Plo Koon... definitely. And kit Fisto for 2007! (I wish I had him!)
  22. You know.. I just realize that the Solar Sailer picture shows the ship from the back! At first I thought the light gray TIE thingies were actually the dome before I looked at the official picture! :P I would like to have a Clone Wars Dooku, just so he fits in, and I dislike the magnaguards. It would be 100 times better if 2 things happened. 1. They need posable legs, like the actual ones. 2. They need to have removable head cape thingies! Those things are so ugly! :P Awesome about the catalogues, and for the AAT: I am sad at the detachable speeder. It's hideous, but I am oh, so happy that there's a door lift up in the back to hide it! And if there isn't... well I'll have to do some modification! EDIT: Just a pointer, The CIS shuttle is DEFINITELY not gonna be the H landing craft. That would have to be the size of a house.. and it's NOT a shuttle. It's probably the Neimiodian shuttle with Nute Gunray.
  23. Well lemme tell you... you can go on ebay, bricklink, any customizer and this is what you will find: Over Priced minifigs!!! You take a first glance at an amazing 501st replica or an awesome Twi'Lek. YOu say "wow! I'd like to get that for the holidays!" So, you click add to cart. When you get there, you see the price. Your jaw drops to the floor and a little ditty goes through your head. "I am NOT buying this!" I mean... Luminara Unduli costs $40 USD! So here's the simple solution: cheap customization! I've made many minifigs with this method... and learned from many mistakes... 1. Coloring: Sharpie markers or any similar permanent marker brand is great on Lego! Over a period of 3 months and heavy play wear, only a tiny bit rubs off, which you can again reapply. These markers come in a variety of colors, yet sadly... no white. We'll get to that later. 2. Removing color: Yeah. I hate to break it to ya... we're human. (Well most of us! ) We make mistakes. On your first try, you'll likely mess up. So to remove color apply some rubbing alcohol. After a couple of swabs and hard work, it should all be off. 3. Decals: Cheap decals are easy. Print from the computer, apply some hot glue (be careful, and do it quick before it dries!) In simpler terms, cut and paste. To MAKE decals you can go request them from an expert or attempt yourself. Also to resize decals you could use photoshop or again, those of us who are cheap like me, use Powerpoint. Works like a charm, with the resize tool. 4. White: I'm still solving that little problem. Note: Do not attempt to use 3 things. 1. 90 percent of the time plastic paints will NOT work. they won't stay on and leave an ugly faint mark where you tried to apply it. 2. Do not not not not NOT use spraypaint. A lot of people say "maybe I'll be the first to have spray paint work!" It never does. It makes the studs of your pieces get wider around the edges causing it to be worthless, since no pieces can attach any longer. Please remember this. 3. The absolute worst thing of all to ever do EVER is use white out. I am still working on a good way to color [pieces white but whiteout (liquid paper) does NOT work. It leaves and ugly thickness on the piece and the only way to remove it is with Goo-off or Goo-gone. These chemicals are both toxic, can also both melt through plastic, and worst of all, it makes your piece yellow! So if you really wanna make some pieces white, then I suggest going against all of my money saving ideas and buy some fancy little white permanent marker. (Any brand suggestions would help, and be taken in thankfully! ) So thanks, by the way I'm new... and umm... the most important thing to remember is that if the new minifigure is coming out next week (Yoda! ) Then be a patient and good little boy/girl and wait. Don't waste your pieces. Oh and one last pointer: If you are trying to change the shape of an actually piece (like with tools and scissors) then there's only a 40% chance. The only time it's worked for me is cutting off the line of the harpoon making it into a blaster. Thanks for your time!
