  1. I hate it when alternate models take up the entire back of the box, as I like to see more than just an image of what I'm getting, but if the instructions are online, I'd never bother.
  2. I'd have to say the prequels aren't as bad as people make them out to be. In fact, if they had nothing to do with Star Wars, they could be pretty popular, but because they didn't carry the goodness of the Original trilogy they went all wrong. In my opinion the Clone Wars is a huge embarrassment, to George Lucas. With a bigger budget, real actors, and good effects the movie could have been epic. I guess the saddest thing about the Clone Wars really is the commericals. They truly do make me cry. They simply aren't Star Wars. "If you see a worm in Space don't put it up your nose." Not Boba Fett of course, just the Clone Wars ones.
  3. The new guy is Cad Bane. Anyway, how old is your retailer catalogue? Is it different from the pictures we already have? If it's newer, can you please describe Greivous's cockpit?
  4. Not so original, but I'm proud of my picture:
  5. Actually, besides the hair over the eyes, comparing those pictures makes me thing it's even more accurate! I think you guys are being overly picky. The limbs may need a little extension, but this thing is really the monster we see right there! Maybe some blood stains too, but this is Lego!
  6. Happy Birthday! I hope you got whatever wild Star Wars related items fill your dreams! I know I can be more clever...
  7. Well they could work... just not well. I'm really not expecting much from this new Grevious. Tan and Black, lots of that although I think white is more accurate, and some cartoony printing on his helmet. Possibly separate legs. Of course new parts for everything, but not too large a step from the old one.
  8. Nice one! I think everything looks really real. The mud on the tires definitely does it good credit.
  9. Those are great! I swear I've seen those techniques before, but what matters is the perfect matching you did! You're going to get a MOC expert badge for sure! The think I like most is your choice of red and blue. They aren't bright and flashy like the lighter colors so they blend in with the gray well. Keep it up!
  10. The Death Star was not hard at all to me, but I was so careful while building it because I wanted to keep it in top condition. So far it's been the largest piece to my collection, but it was not the hardest. I think the only thing that could make a set hard to build are bad instructions. As pointed out here by another member, these instructions are simply ridiculous. If I had this set, it would sure take me more than an hour for that one step. I'd have to say the hardest set I've ever built would be... Well I don't know. I guess it would have to run along the lines of Exo-Force. They were small, but hard. If you added them all together into one big one, it may have been quite tricky. Especially the combo models. None of them worked.
  11. It's odd how my system works. First, a motor turns a worm gear, which turns a 24 tooth gear which turns both wheels. Then the axle turning both wheels is connected to two 40 teeth gears. One is connected to a chain which pulls the manual setup winch, while the other 40 tooth gear turns a system of smaller gears which finally ends with a 12 tooth gear turning another 12 tooth gear which turns the crank and pulls the two cylinders. Then, I tried to attach an 8-tooth gear to the axle, replacing the 40-teeth gear, and have the gears it turns get gradually larger, and I thought it would make the cylinders turn faster, but instead it slowed everything down... it was quite confusing. Maybe I did it entirely wrong... no clue though.
  12. You quoted me without looking at my edit. Look at it now... I'd say he played a pretty significant role, just not in the movies.
  13. I'm pretty sure Boba took Jango's place during the Clone Wars. There were a bunch of books about him during Episode III. I'll go find that book where there is a picture with Boba and Greivous together! EDIT: There you go, Boba Fett, a New Threat, right before he painted his armor: Here's the article: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Boba_Fett:_A_New_Threat First sentences being "During the Clone Wars..." The point is, we shouldn't keep discussing this until there is any hint at it, because this is simply speculation. Sure, if you put 2 and 2 together it makes sense, but as of now I think it could go well in that set theories topic.
  14. If it weren't "legit", than we wouldn't be looking at it. It may not be in every country though, obviously not every store. That isn't really a bad joke, it's actually a good idea! I doubt it, but maybe the arm comes a part. Either way, the arms are still detachable, so you can still do as best as you can to recreate the scene.
  15. Go for it! Your customs are great! @Joey Lock: Aren't there more than 44 rulers of England in total? How far back are we counting?
  16. The link doesn't work... but thanks really. I'd kind of like someone to answer my non 16-tooth gear questions though... please?
  17. A combo pack with an exclusive set? Well it is an exclusive combo pack, so! That's very interesting. Too bad I have them all, the box looks neat. I wonder why they paired a brand new set with two old ones. Maybe they all had to be Clone Wars?
  18. Okay, my gear troubles are over... I think I got that now... X3. Thank you all! So can anyone enlighten me on the forest tractor, my slow-moving RC, and it's engine? Thanks again!
  19. That's a really good idea! It may go a little bit fast, but that would definitely be a sound I could hear on local traffic. Nice job! I might use that idea for something (and give you credit, of course!) but I don't know if it's smart to waste pneumatic pieces, considering I don't have any... yet.
  20. Well, the pictures are gone now. It's not like I missed much though. I think the Wampa's horns are Taun Taun's horns... that makes me happy. I wonder if it has a play feature like the giant rock monsters. Does anyone know? Perhaps there's also a feature to drop Luke from the ice cave, and not just a spring-up lightsaber function.
  21. There are a lot of topics out there on this subject... People are such losers that rather than being a good citizen and buying minifigs off bricklink, just steal them from the boxes. I am a fan of army building, but I stop at an army of 6. Lego is about building for me. It's pretty low.
  22. I've seen a few here and there, ranging from the start to the present, though only a few, and mostly the prominent. I don't know if anyone's actually done all of the presidents... If someone did a line of Lego presidents, that would be interesting though, I'd love to see it.
  23. Huh? All I see is a pile of Lego bones and the Spaceman, a lot of Star Wars, Star Trek, cats, and other themes, but what the heck is it?
  24. Carpeted Floor/Blood Bath.
  25. Dang... Those are great! I knew knew I'd seen your name before. Good luck to your home team at the superbowl!
