  1. $25 each! Man, I wish I could've gotten that deal. You have a lot of competition with Cavegod and Anio around. Those are all very perfect though! I wish I could say something extra, but these have all been done over and over, they just don't seem special anymore. I don't know if I can believe you that you made the TIE Crawler in 2002, considering nobody cared about it until it was made by Lego in 2007, and even so I don't think it existed yet! Sweet job on the defender, and droid fighter's looking nice too. Also I like the use of scaling with Hasbro Figs.
  2. Thanks! All of these pictures do the sets justice. It's still not my favorite ( ) but Greivous's fighter is looking much better, and I don't think anyone at the Toyfair showed that picture! The Slave I looks excellent, and Plo's fighter is the "usual" Delta-7B fighter. Too bad there are still no exclusive pics. If they aren't here by April, something's gone horribly wrong in the Lego factory.
  3. Okay, so, if you don't want the slopes sticking out using the first method described, you take exactly what you have right now, and add these: Disregard. It's impossible to work out. If you look at my attatched image, the measurements must be exact, and it wouldn't work because yours is 1/3 of a brick lower than everything else around it. But really, this would still work out fine:
  4. Now I get it... I thought this was someone else's MOC and you were trying to figure out how it worked! I wouldn't really recommend glueing, especially not into the bottoms of pieces. I see you didn't quote me on the idea for the light and placeholder technique, but if you just didn't pass it, I'd say you need: 3X:Harry potter wand/lightsaber bar 3X: Brick with technic pin 3X: Technic beam, 2 wholes, one axle, one pin 3X: Technic pin with one stud 3X: Brick with technic pin hole 3X: Cheese slope If you are still interested, I can provide pictures. After putting that together, you can suspend the lights down with other pieces, but too many to list if you don't want to. EDIT: The first solution will hold them up in one position, if you want to try it.
  5. Where's the curler? We Americans have a particular fascination on how that "odd" sport goes about. Very nice MOC, I might have changed the head and left arm of the big guy, but other than that, it really works out well. Your medal idea should go into MCW.
  6. That's a little depressing, but oh well, I'm sure the final model will look great! If I ever need a stair climber, I'll remember this. Just a few books for the initial step should do it. I never say that technique before! My ignorance brought me to believe that in order to turn an axle at different angles you'd always have to use a U-joint!
  7. No pictures of the inside, hmm? I'm assuming the slopes are attached to the 3 long technic axles with a stud on the end, going through a brown brick with an axle hole. That should keep them standing up, just ugly on the inside. Picture: EDIT: Odd though, judging by the picture, the slopes are right up against the wall. They'd be slightly elevated with the studded axles. There is another way of doing it, though. My second best guess would probably be using the average technic pin with stud and brick with pin hole, and then they used rods and beams in the back to keep the pins from freely spinning. That would be very simple as well. Extremely easy to do. My third guess would be glue, and my last bet would be simple balance. If you want to know more on the second technique, I've used it before, it works well with bricks with a protruding technic pin, and you could use the extended rods to hang light fixtures.
  8. Great challenge, perhaps a contest is due for those lucky few who have one? I just realized this topic was started in August though.
  9. Oh my God! That technique is totally amazing! The wheels seem to already have suspension, but the way the rotating and hinged center is the best part! That's very, very smart! I love how it can climb stair cases! I'd really love to see an underside picture, just so I can see how the gears work. I'm assuming that has all 8-wheels drive? Very, very good!
  10. So much better than the original! Besides the finally correctly done cockpit, and the great centering technique and the back, I think my absolute favorite part has to be the wings! This should be a world-released mini model. Have you ever considered job-hunting at the Lego company?
  11. Hey, I know that! That's Nannan's! It was on TBB months ago! Very old, but nice find! Glad you brought it to EB, it's a great MOC! I think it was part of the Falcon Review that TBB did, too.
  12. Sweet! The Pikachu is so close to a Lego rat, I though it was modified! And these are hand made! You did a really good job on both of them. Where do you get hands steady enough to do so?
  13. There are so many typos in there, not to mention that website doesn't even have an article on Space Police. Lego also wouldn't put a nine in something's name. I'll go look in Lego's actual log. How many Legopedias are there? They're all terrible. (No offense to any creators.) EDIT: Nope, the whole police log is here: http://spacepolice.lego.com/en-US/policelo...outine%20patrol No Xlr'gkkt^9's in there.
  14. I might have to change my sigfig. I don't even own this one. It's actually Mr. Tusken's. Maybe I'll be better at photography by now.
  15. Very nice! From the video, It's looking real good! I really can't wait!
  16. Someone has to join EB. That's extremely impressive. I don't see how those treads are powered, but if that's what the front page, then I believe it. I don't really love the town on top, but everything below it is great! Overall this is a very, very impressive MOC.
  17. Hmmm... the only ones I could find on BL start at $130 and up. They may be rare than you remember. EDIT: Ah, never mind. That was a polybag of 5. I didn't even know these existed though! Look nice.
  18. I'd love to see it! Hopefully soon! Especially if you're going to be using all of those! To date I don't even have an XL-motor. I have more than 10 m-motors by now, all in use, by the way, but I never found a use for an XL, and then, before I could get my hands on them, they shot right to the backorder wagon, and won't get off 'till April!
  19. That's just awful! Isn't there some sort of law against such a rip-off? Misinformation or something? Well, luckily nobody on this earth is stupid enough to buy it. If anyone does, rather than warning them in advance, we should just kick them. Anyway, I'm curious as to the most expensive set at Lego's original price. Anyone know?
  20. Sweet! That's emo kid hair from the minifig polybags coming later this year, by the way. I'd like to get this fig, brown emo kid hair will be great!
  21. Ah that explains why my store still doesn't have it. I think when the say "online exclusive" they mean "Lego released them too early and couldn't produce enough so we're keeping them online for such a significant amount of time people will believe us and not notice when they appear in stores months from now for only days."
  22. You fiend! If I were you, I'd be spending all of my days trying to figure out what to do with all of those spare motors! I wish I had free electric parts! Man, I would use them up in a second! My form of "storage" is more like "all over the floor." It's organized in it's own little way, but seeing as the parts are constantly in use I wouldn't bother packing them up and taking them out each day. Instead I lock my door. It's a really big storage box.
  23. So much better than that near-duplo thing coming out later this year. Loving the truck, 0 studs showing! Of course the tank is the best part, the colors blend really well! Nice addition of the ladder on the side!
  24. Disassembling it? Can't wait to see the next one though!
