  1. Thanks! Will watch it after I get it and build it... don't want to spoil anything! I still don't see how there's any room for that motor, but since there is, no complaints here! I'm catching on!
  2. Canadian Toy Fair? I know they gave a booklet and them out at the NY Toyfair, I didn't know they had also given them out a week before, odd that nobody had pictures until yesterday... then. They'll definitely pop up on ebay or bricklink, they'll just cost a ton.
  3. Thank God. I am about to get it, and I was afraid I might have to turn the bottom actuators manually even with the motor, or that the hood above the engine would have to stick up to accommodate the motor. I'm just going to guess that the driving ring in there switches between the top actuator and the bottom, but if I'm wrong, don't tell me!
  4. Just a quick question, when adding the M-motor to 8265, does it fit under the hood? Also, can that one motor power all 3 linear actuators?
  5. Was about to say... It may have something extra though. I'd have to say I'm against the new Grievous. It's great for Grievous but it's impeccably far from a normal Lego minifig. As JimButcher said, it's something Mega would do.
  6. I like how the Castle has tons of those down-scaled rooms, the main hall, potions class, I guess the puny snake pit is the chamber of secrets? The only thing I dislike about the great new Quidditch set, is that rather than making golden versions of those good old hoops, they used those felxible thingies, which really do look better, except the tenseness is bending it into a slightly wrong shape and you can see the bars pulling out of the connector under their own pressure.
  7. So Endor AT-AT was a total lie... but there is an AT-AT and Cad Bane's speeder is real! We could always use the AT-AT as an Endor one, and I'm waiting for those 10212 pictures to come out! I'm almost sure of it, I remember they released the AT-OT and Dropship last year on the last day of the Toyfair. Let's wait and see!
  8. The train will cost much more than $40, I'd price it at $80, it's got more to it than size. I'm glad that Lupin can shapeshift. I wasn't so much thinking that he turned into a werewolf, more that he turned into something. I can't see the castle at $130, definitely up in the 100 range, but above $120 seems quite high. EDIT: Maybe not, the box says 1,200 pieces exactly. That's a lot of small pieces then! I'm off to read a book!
  9. It was a collaborated effort. We all did something. I wonder if there will be a special edition Power Funtions RC version of this set? Looks like the wheels aren't geared, but I could see this with flexi-track, rechargeable battery box, IR remote, receiver, and motor for $200. Too bad this one doesn't have a Station like the older ones, but a very nice tidbit is the cart for the passenger section.
  10. In 1999, George Lucas approved a hideous abomination, known as Boba Fett's face. He had already planned for Boba to be a human, he had even planned the whole Jango-Clone thing by then, from what I hear, Boba was "mutated after many years of fighting battles" and "scars deformed his face and his hair turned white." That doesn't explain why he looks like a giant orange elf though. Bossk is looking very, very good. Not extremely overdetailed, but very similar to his movie form. I love how Lego feels the urge to put random attention-drawing Bounty Hunters with with Boba. After I get the Slave I, I'd just need a custom 4-LOM and Zukuss, and I'll have every OT bounty hunter.
  11. That's definitely a light brick. It's probably going to be the ceiling light in Hagrid's hut. See, something should jog my memory, but it doesn't. For me, I would just take the gray hound that Lupin turns into and use him as Fang. Please tell me Lupin was the one who could shape-shift. If not, I've gotta go upstairs and read a book or two.
  12. That's right... everything is mixed up, character appearances, changes in setting. My memory is spacing out now, apologies for the stupid question, but did the invisibility cloak even go with Aragog the Spider? Those were two different books if I remember correctly, though I probably don't.
  13. I think the zombie pilot is actually wearing a mask... perhaps it's one of those 10-second details like the Falcon hidden in Episode III. Or Lando wearing Han's clothes in Episode V! The best part about Boba is that Lego stood up to that idiot artist who drew Boba officially as an alien and made him a human. The sand blue is odd, though I think it's kind of accurate, just not the legs though... No doubt there will be an asterisk about that on Wookiepedia. I really do think Grievous looks too much like a Hasbro Action figure, Boba's in the right place, but Greivous is over-over-detailed. The one thing I wanted from Grievous was a power functions hole in his back that you could plug into the wall and make him spin his lightsabers. I'd give 20 bucks to anyone who could do that.
  14. The printing on the owl is nice! Unnecessary, but still good. I like the pig in the corner. I would say, chances are the wands might, just might be new, semi-lower quality flexi-plastic but super-detailed judging on the new Star Wars accessories. Lego's really going overboard on the details. Ron's hair is interesting, considering the old hair actually did suit the old books/movies, it's only his recent appearances where his new hair should apply. Maybe I'll give some of my old Ron hair out to children in need. I've got about 40 in counting...
  15. It's all worked out now SuperChris, we both get our 10-seconds of fame! The train is very nice in my opinion, it's very unchanged, the front is better, but the cabin in the back lost some and gained some, so it equals out. The detailing on the tender is very good.
  16. Eskallon has one, I put it in my post. With due credit, of course.
  17. Whazzam! Harry P: Click for POP and HP! What you've been waiting for: Nice that you can't see the front. Ron has emo kid hair from minifig series: Dobby's Release: Hogwarts looks great: Nice train here: Thanks Eskallon:
  18. I was thinking it would be more than that! What a score! 80 bucks, I was thinking 100 flat. Everything in SW was overpriced, so if you set your expectations low like me, nice surprises will come your way.
  19. Indeed, it's a little odd to me that Anakin's tan, maybe he was more than I remember at the end of the movie. I think he should look more melted though. The old face was good to me, this one reminds me of an Indiana Jones character. I like the new Boba, sand blue's a little weird, but the fig is very good otherwise. The joke within the joke was unintended. Beat ya.
  20. Awwe, too bad. Greivous looks like a Hasbro crossover freak: Good enough for me though. I kind of like the detail, just maybe the head is too much. Bossk and Han looking great: And our med droid: Boba has a face for some reason: Zombie pilot: Finally, Tan Anni:
  21. I used that picture in my post a while ago during the "cockpit war." I still think that it's a changed mold from the first pictures we had. It's from a video. It's a very large set, but the thing that mostly puts me down about it are the "wings," they look wrong, as in, they cut of completely at a 90 degree angle, and then they put a fin on it, it looks hideous. Perhaps it was just built wrong, and the piece should have been rotated.
  22. Oh my God! That thing is awesome! It's motorized, it's professional, and it's huge! The front is very well built. You even managed to tune it with the back blade! The landing gear is even maneuverable, and the blade control! The only thing left to do with this would be to mechanize the winch and make it fly! This is an excellent MOC!
  23. The pictures need to be deeplinked. Just click on an image until you see a white background, and copy the URL/link code from there. Sounds interesting!
  24. It's nerve racking for me, being much closer to New York than many other members here, close than you may know... I'm crossing my fingers that 10212 will be seen there, but all evidence points towards it's presence. We'll finally get a better view at the Med Droid, and some further editions of minifigs, like Greivous and Plo Koon's droid. We'll get to see Anikans face, and possibly some views of the other rumored sets!
  25. I believe you men Brickbeard's Bounty... unless there's an old Pirate's set I've forgotten about. When I posted before I didn't even see the poll! Good topic idea!
