  1. Lovely! This would fit right in with the rest of our yearly winter village displays. Keep clicking those bricks together!
  2. One could have a look at https://www.lightmybricks.com, they do a lighting set for the Bugle. Problem is, they are ridiculously expensive. good quality, though. And tailor-made for the set.
  3. Well, I'm not sold on this one yet. My wife dislikes it for multiple reasons (colours, bland jazz club front, feels cramped, unfinished), based on this picture. Big disappointment for her, so far. Personally, I like the pizzeria and the ground floor façade design of the jazz club, although the blue looks a bit out of place. The dark red and gray part of it really puts me off, though. We do not mind the two-building concept, it adds to the diversity of the street. Hopefully, the official pictures will make us more positive. For now: Combined with the price increases, definitely not a first-day buy, still a toss-up if it will end up in our city to begin with. But I'm not giving up on this one, just yet. Maybe wait for a discount. A huge discount.
  4. Oh yes! So happy this is returning in one form or another. Can't wait.
  5. Lovely build! I particularly like the top of the tower. The odd angles (non-90-degree) are always a challenge and in this case it is very well executed. Keep clicking those bricks together!
  6. I never realised that initially, looking at the pictures, but you are absolutely right!
  7. Hi SalvoBrick, Your city looked great 10 years ago and even better now. I have great respect for the fact that your original lay-out completely consists of MOCs. Those rows of houses in the 2012 version look terrific! I recognise a few LEGO City sets (or MODs?) in the later lay-out, which is great, too. Keep clicking those bricks together!
  8. Agreed! These look pretty good. Would fit well in our winter village.
  9. Lovely! The interior details are brilliant, and I really like the ground floor and the top floor façade. The bright light orange works very well here. I wonder if it would look even better without the second floor, which, on the outside, is a repeat of the first floor. Keep clicking those bricks together!
  10. Smashing build! I especially love the ground floor façade and the fountain. Keep clicking those bricks together.
  11. I love it! The exterior has a nice LEGO classic look to it, and the interior is very detailed and nicely designed. I especially like the tree and the living room interior. Keep clicking those bricks together!
  12. Nice one! It definitely is a lot better than the LEGO hospitals of the last, well, forever. And it being modular is absolutely to be commended. Love it. The different levels look great. Keep clicking those bricks together!
  13. Wow, that is quite something! I always love it when walls are not at 90 degree angles, and this is a perfect example of a great implementation of that. Great attention to detail inside and out, and I love the general design of the building. Keep clicking those bricks together!
  14. What an absolutely lovely build inside and out! I especially like the façade and the inside walls. Keep clicking those bricks together!
  15. Well, my wife and I are long-time LEGO-fans, but she was so p*ssed off with the "dragged in there by the hairs" female representation malarkey of this castle set that she decided on two things: 1. We're definitely not buying this one, out of sheer principle (sod being able to change the fig heads). And two, she went straight over to BlueBrixx to buy Burg Eltz :-) First non-LEGO set we ever bought in 50 years. For the life of me, I could not stop her. I can live without this castle set, though, so we saved a lot of money.
  16. Great idea, and well executed! Fits in brilliantly. Might try this myself in some form or another, too.
  17. Hmm, interesting. Both my wife and myself were actually quite underwhelmed. The "drop tower" is quite an eye-sore, and the whole ride actually consists of the two loops. Volkswagen van T1 (brilliant) versus T2 (pretty much crappy) revisited, as far as we are concerned. We'll stick to the first roller coaster, which looks a lot better in our opinion. But hey, I can imagine people liking this. The colour combination is not that bad, to be fair.
  18. Yes, love the piglet! There's also rumours about a new calf and a new lamb in 60346. This would be perfect for our town and our winter village (I know, these are born in spring, normally, but hey, we'll take anything... ).
  19. Cheers for the review! These look great. The Vantage is still my favourite. Maybe partly because I do not really love the colour of the Valkyrie.
  20. Problem with Palace Cinema is that the ground floor is not tiled (for whatever reason). So the red base plate is the actual floor of the lobby. Other than that, I agree. And the sticker sheet is indeed an issue.
  21. What a brilliantly designed modular MOC! I like the lay-out with the books, and the tree looks great. Lovely interior design, too! And version 3 is definitely the best, great progressive insight. Keep clicking those bricks together!
  22. Smashing MOC! I love the façade and the colour combinations (especially the ground floor). The interior details are great, on all floors, with the actual bakery on the ground floor as an absolute highlight. Bright light orange for the cypress trees does not work at all for me, but that can easily be changed to lime, bright green, green or dark green, or a combination thereof :-) Keep clicking those bricks together!
  23. Well, that hugely depends on where one lives, now, doesn't it And although I know other countries have black police cars, too, I still like to believe that LEGO has not completely "americanised". Yet. But I get your point.
  24. Oh, don't get me started on that one! Over a hundred separate items put in the bricks and pieces shopping cart (took ages), only to get an error message, resulting in an empty cart We experience that very regularly. Buttons and links that do not work, wish lists that mysteriously change content, payment errors, you name it. We had a few major overhauls of the site already over the years, and it is still crap. One would think they should be able to afford a few decent web programmers...
