  1. I got on lego.com at about 12:30 AM Friday morning and guess what, the set was sold out. I know they are backordered now!! I just don't want to wait ,if I don't have to. Anyone out there buy more than 1 and want to sell one? I would pay shipping my way and I don't need the box, so that may save on shipping. Send a PM!! Thanks, Jamie
  2. I have a pending sale on these 2 sets now for $750. The buyer thinks it is fair and I think it is more than I paid to build them. Thanks for the replies, Jamie
  3. It depends on the set I'm building. If it is a small set I can get built in an hour or less, I normally just sit and build. But, if it is a set I'm going to be working with awhile. I normally make sure the house is clean, I can't justify building a Lego set for hours when laundry, dishes, and vacuuming need to be done. Yes, I am OCD! As for what I do when building. Sit in my chair, pull up my coffee table, find a movie or show on my always full DVR and play. Jamie
  4. Hope this is ok to ask here! If not, mods, just let me know and I can change it! Long story, short, I was thinking of selling my "Bricklinked" 10182 and 10190. I built them over a year ago and they have been built every since. 10182 has the Dark Blue Arch replaced with a Dark Bluish Gray Arch and the slopes on the roof were replaced with 2x2x3 Dark Red Slopes. I have a set of original instructions for it. 10190 has the Dark Blue Arches replace with Tan, which looks better IMO, They looked out of place in the original set with the tan bricks underneath. Anyways, I also replaced the hoses for the rails with White Quarter Round Fence pieces, again, I think it looks better. I also have a set of original instructions for this set. Pics can be seen here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=526043 So my questions are 1) is there a market here for "Bricklinked" sets and 2) what would be a fair price for them? Thanks for your input, Jamie
  5. Nevermind, I found it! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Star-Wars-Lego-Double-side-Poster-The-Yoda-Chronicles-in-a-Lego-Lightsaber-NEW-/310642041561?pt=UK_Construction_Toys_Kits&hash=item4853b562d9 Looks cool! I may have to get one. Thanks for letting us know. Jamie
  6. Maybe I should start renting out instructions?! :) I ran into this problems when I bricklinked 10190 and 10182. Luckily I found a seller who had them both and cut me a deal. Otherwise I would have built them from my computer as well. But, I just built 10179 last week and the instructions aren't that hard. It is a big model, but, it is built alot of smaller sections. Should be pretty easy to built using something smaller than the instructions. Good luck, Jamie
  7. Never heard of the ship, but, I must say. I like yours alot. And I agree with Csacsa234, yours is better in many aspects. Great job!! While this may have been designed as an "evil" Millennium Falcon. I don't know if this ship is worthy of that title?! The Falcon is in a class all it's own, IMO! Keep the good work, Jamie
  8. I have admit, I played with the idea of building my own at one time. The reason I didn't was the wheels. I couldn't figure out a way to build them and Lego doesn't make wheels big enough for the model I wanted to build. This is what I came up with: Each wheels would have been 300 pieces, times that by 10 wheels.......... But you solution is so simple and looks great at the same time. I can not wait to see this finished!! Thanks for the in progress shots, Jamie
  9. Seeing people BL this is amazing!! This model when finished is huge. I have Bricklinked Cafe Corner and Market Street. Both of those were tiny, compared to this. I ran into some roadblock with pieces not being in the right color and/ or too expensive! Couldn't imagine this. Hope it works out for you!! It is beautiful when done. Jamie
  10. Today, via a private seller. I picked up the whole Batman collection from 2006 - 2008 for $1250 US. . I think it was a great deal considering if I bought them from Bricklink, buying them all would have cost me $1841.10 US, plus shipping, so probably about $2000. Some are over seas. That is buying the sets complete with all minifigures. I came out over $700 US ahead. I am working on building them all now and so far, no missing pieces! All minifigs are there!! Jamie
  11. I just got done building both sets and I'm torn! I love the new sets. But I'm left with the feeling that it's missing something. I just ordered a second Rancor pit from Bricklink, without figures and Rancor, and I'm looking at a second Jabba's Palace to expand them both. They are both great set on there own. But the 2 need to be bigger. Maybe I can add Jabba's band to the second palace. This is a great mod, thanks for the idea!! Jamie
  12. It's not a bad idea to make the cockpit bigger on this. Atleast that way you can get more figures in, but, this too big. Scale it down a little and you maybe on to something!! Jamie
  13. I was really hoping for a some of the beasts in the Geonosis set. Who doesn't want an Ackley, Reek, and Nexu?? But, I guess it would have been too soon for them to release this with just releasing the Rancor pit set. Since we did get a new mold for him. Jamie
  14. Having just built my 7784, The Batmobile: Ultimate Collectors' Edition. I really want another version of the Batmobile, or a Batwing!! Either of these would work, not the exact models, but, something shaped like a bat would be nice. I like the first model from Batman Forever. But, the second from Batman 89 has an iconic shape to it. Jamie
  15. 7150 and 7152 are the same. Have a look here, http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?S=7150-1 . Hope this helps. Jamie
  16. Honestly, that thing is awesome! Since Lego has been releasing new figure with alot more detail, then before. The Dewback is sorely in need of a re-release. We got Jabba, a Rancor, a Dewback should coming soon. Thanks for the hard work, Jamie
  17. Hello, I'm wondering if anyone knows where I can find scans of the First Batman sets. My sets have stickers that are in bad shape, peeling and bubbling. I'd like to replace them for 7888 and 7783. And, yes, I checked Bricklink and am looking for an alternative to the $60 price tag for 7888, the one for the batcave, maybe, but, not 7888. Thanks, Jamie
  18. Cool lay out! I couldn't find the red crystals, but, I have an idea where they are. I think the part that made me laugh was Lando with the blaster and banana. Jamie
  19. This is a project I have wanted to do for some time, but, time and money have prevented it. I have some build on my computer in LDD. Not the arena, just the pod racers. I can't wait to see the finished model. Are using the new Anakin and Sebulba set or did you make your own models for these 2? Thanks for the reply and good luck, Jamie
  20. Are you planning on making all 18 Podracers? That would be awesome. The two you did do, are really great. I love how you make Gasgano's engines. But, they both would look good next to the new Anakin's and Sebulba's Podracers. Only 14 more to go. Jamie
  21. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=484261 This guys has made alot of ships in ISD scale. Home One and the MC-80 included. Jamie
  22. While I love the fact that Star Wars will never die, I'm not sure how to feel about this! Sad, happy, confused!? More movies, but, will they have the feel of the OT or PT. Can Disney capture the feel of movies that are 30+ years old? I guess we will find out when director, producer and actors are announced? WOW, I'm kinda.....wow! Jamie
  23. I'm horrible at writing stories, but, something I would love to see is a Greek-Roman theme. Maybe a theme that involves Hercules and his 12 trials? Jamie
  24. No, your right, in the 4 trees, there are over 900 pieces. And that is just in the bottom of them. Below the platfrom! I used Anio's technique, he used on his UCS Sebulba's podracer. With the 4x4 round bricks, with turntables between them. The use Technic 1/2 pins. I'll if I can find a pic, it would easier to show you, then explain it. But, looking at that pic is what gave me the idea to use them as trees. Edit: I found the pic of the the "cylinder technique" used by Anio on his UCS Sebulba's Podracer. I hope he doesn't mind me showing it. Credit goes to him and Benny on Setechnic and Brickshelf. Jamie
  25. There is a link in my sig, but I will but a link in the post as well. I think when you included figs on it, the platform will look busier. I didn't included figs on it. The AT-STs were borrowed from 8038. Yes, extending the tree would be really easy to do. Jamie
