I like the MOD, but, my question is how well does 2 hinges hold the wings? I want to display it in this position. Should I use 3 or 4 per wing? Thanks, Jamie

Best current set to start out on bricklinkink the ISD 10300 ?
jamie75 replied to H_Solo's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I just looked up the auction I won on paypal. It is not on Ebay anymore. I paid $366 for the ISD. I had other Bricklink orders then, I don't know what I paid for the missing pieces. So, I would guess about $500 total. Good luck, Jamie -
Best current set to start out on bricklinkink the ISD 10300 ?

Watch Ebay closely! I picked one up for about $300, maybe a little more, it was about a year ago. It was missing about 300 pieces, but, I traded messages with the seller and requested additional pics. All rare pieces were there, wheels, magnets, holders, instructions, sticker. Most of the missing pieces were small, cheap pieces. I think I picked up all the missing pieces for less than $100, with shipping. I had to do a lot of computer work when I got it. Inventory with Bricklink and making a making a file for missing pieces in Brickstore, but, it was worth it. Good luck, Jamie -

While, I would like to have a Bat-Pod 100% complete, minus box and such. If 92222 doesn't become available for a decent price soon, I may have to try something else. I was playing with LDD trying to come up with a solution. I tried to just replace 92222, but, to make other solutions work I had change out a few other things. I think it is a difference of about 28 pieces. 4 Black, 15362 2 Black, 2780 2 Black, 11478 2 Black, 32063 2 Black, 87087 4 Black, 85861 2 Black, 90638 2 Dark Bluish Gray, 11214 2 Dark Bluish Gray, 98577 2 Light Bluish Gray, 4697 2 Light Bluish Gray, 4274 2 Light Gray, 6641 According to Brickstore, at will cost about $9 for all 28 pieces. The most expensive being the technic changeover catch. But, it would still be about $50 cheaper than the 6 92222. So, what do you think and have guys been trying to come up with other solutions?! Wow, your estimate is closer than mine. I didn't realize prices on those tires jumped so much in a couple of days. Jamie

Wow, there are 2 on Ebay now! As of writing this, one has a 2 bids and is at $999.00 US and the other has a starting bid of $1000.00 US, with no bids yet. I can bricklink it for about $100? Jamie

I know this may be a long shot, but, I want to try to make a Lego Giant-Man. After doing some research I discovered it is the only clock with a regular mini fig head, or did I miss one? So, if anyone has a non-working Monster Fighters Mummy clock, fairly cheap, please send me a PM! Thanks, Jamie

LDD in Windows 10 issues and discussion
jamie75 replied to jamie75's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
No problem, SylvaintLS, thanks for the help anyways! I uninstalled the drivers for my graphics card and reinstalled them. It didn't help! I have an, Intel ® Q35 Chipset, Gnac. Intel said I had the latest drivers installed after that and LDD still didn't work. The more the searched for a solution for this. I discovered it is not an isolated problem. Seems a lot of people are having issues with Windows 10 and Minecraft. From my reading, both Minecraft and LDD use OpenGL, and that seems to be the issue. The versions of OpenGL I looked at were not compatible with Windows 10, yet. Or did I miss something?! I'm sure with Windows 10 being new still, I will just have wait for a new driver to become available. I did discover that opening LDD in Safe Mode works, but, it is slow!! Thanks for the help, Jamie -
LDD in Windows 10 issues and discussion
jamie75 replied to jamie75's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Thanks, Superkalle!! I am a little older and not as computer savvy as some of you guys. So, this may sound dumb, but, I have done a little research and I think I need something called, OpenGL, but, I couldn't find drivers for Windows 10. I also, don't know what graphics card I have in my computer. Is there a way to find out, without having to take my tower apart? Also, SylvainLS, what do you mean by, the constructor, thanks!! Thanks, Jamie -
My attempt to make the Tydirium Shuttle 75094 a bit more slick

I really wish Lego would make Wedge Tiles, for things like this!! Nice mod, I like it!! I will probably do something like this when I get around to building mine. Jamie -
I love this movie too. It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses........................... Hit it!! I think my favorite part is the string "holding" the speaker on. Great work, Jamie

New Legoland Discover Center in Auburn Hills, Michigan
jamie75 replied to VBBN's topic in General LEGO Discussion
That's cool, wish they would open a store a little further north for me. Troy is about a 90 minute drive for me! I'll have top check this out when they have it finished, I haven't ever been to a Discovery Center. Jamie EDIT: I was just reading up on the Lego Discovery Center and wondering.? If I buy the annual pass for $40, if the 10% discount is only available in the Discovery Center, A Lego Store or if I can use it on S@H also. Might be worth looking into, if I can use it online too! Thanks, Jamie -
Yeah, I really like Brickstore. This is one of the biggest reasons. other than making xml files for bricklink!! Jamie

According to Brickstore, using the 6 month averages, it should be about $381.52, minus shipping, for new pieces/ parts. Used should be about $237.06. Jamie

Awesome, the only thing missing is the pop up gun in the arm rest! Jamie

Looks good! I like the window. I may have to re-work the model to include it. Thanks for sharing, Jamie

Folder is now modded on Brickshelf. File is in the folder! Thanks, Jamie

Cap and Quicksilver, like most have already said, are my favorites! But, I really want to see a Hulk one. I think it would be cool to see a "BUST" with him ripping apart 4 or 5 drones. Jamie

If anyone wants to build this, I made a LDD for it. I believe I got all the pieces where they go, my piece count was 176 before adding C-3PO. I used the inventory from Bricklink to make sure I was using the correct pieces. Hope this helps anyone who wants to build it. The sand dunes in in the top right of the model might be a little off, but, the correct pieces were used. Thanks for looking, Jamie EDIT: I tried to upload the LDD file for this, but, it kept failing, so you will have to wait for Brickshelf to mod it! Sorry!!

How sturdy is this stand?! Does the stand or 10179 itself show any signs bending from the weight of the model? What are the 2 15L Technic Beams in the middle of the stand? They look like they connect to the Falcon. I maybe trying something like this, but, think some Tehcnic beams on the sides of the stand may be in order. rahservizi, is you file exactly the same or did you reinforce it in anyway. Thanks, Jamie

Wow, awesome! I'm glad someone built them. I started a new job before the new year. And while I like it, I travel. So time is something I have less of now. I ordered some pieces from Bricklink before Christmas to start building some of these and they are still sitting next to my computer. Same place they have been for the last 5 months. Does a pilot fit inside? Did you build it exactly, as I did? Jamie

LDD 5, what features do YOU want?
jamie75 replied to BasOne's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Auto-save!!! I was just playing LDD. Not a big model, yet. Only at about 1000 pieces in. Building an UCS Theta Class Shuttle from Star Wars. Wings are similar to 10212. When I used the rotate function, it froze and I lost everything I did. 3 hours gone. There has to be a way to implement something, so we don't go crazy, yell at our computers and wake the wives and kids?! Jamie
