The other day I uploaded my UCS AT-AT to the Lego Cuusoo site. Anio did the same with his UCS Sebulba's Podracer. And lastly marshel_banana put his UCS Sandcrawler on there. After I did it, I posted it in the Lego Cuusoo thread in the Embassy. Anio bumped his thread. And I haven't seen anything about marshel_bananas Sandcrawler on here. So after a quick conversation with KimT. We are making a "Lego Cuusoo index thread". That way, all Lego Star Wars models can be in one place for all to see. I will post the 3 mentioned, to start. I hope Anio and marshel_banana, don't mind! If you see something that stands out, as something you would like to see in the future or make something that you post to the site. Be sure to reply to this thread after you do, so we have all the models in one place for Eurobricks to see and add support to. We have alot of members so we should be able to get alot of support for models! marshel_banana's UCS Sandcrawler Thanks, Jamie

I don't think we have all the info for the new Dino line yet, price and piece counts. Maybe I missed them? But, 5 years ago there was a line called Dino Attack or Dino 2010. The theme had a really cool set called "T1 Typhoon vs. T-Rex", set number 7477. In the set there was a T-Rex, Pteranodon, and big helicopter. It had 605 pieces, 2 Dinos, and it retailed for $70 US. So, $100 for a Rancor and 600 palace. Sounds about right to me. The old Palace was only 196 pieces. 263, if you included the 2 smaller sets, 4475, 4476. So it gets an upgrade and we get a Rancor. I think kids would love the set. A big, scary monster and palace to boot. Jamie
-
I hope not! I really like the design of the Rancor in the pic before! But, at the same time, I wouldn't mind one that is brick-built either: Which do others perfer, brick-built or molded? Jamie

I hope it includes this: That would be great if it had this!! Jamie

LEGO® CUUSOO 空想 - Turn your model wishes into reality
jamie75 replied to CopMike's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I wouldn't call it abusing anything, but, that is a matter of opinion. If 10,000 people support the idea, it would tell Lego there is a demand for it. Secondary market prices should be enough for that, IMO! Personally, what AFOL wouldn't jump at the chance to own 5571, again. The re-release would have new grays. So Bricklink price shouldn't be affected too much. Plus a re-release could support new hinge styles. Besides, Disney, does this all the time. They put a movie it the "vault" and release it again 10 years later. The Lion King is out now. And re-releasing sets is nothing new to Lego they have done it in the past. Jamie -

LEGO® CUUSOO 空想 - Turn your model wishes into reality

I think I was the first supporter for this idea, both actully. I was going to request them anyways. I supported 5571, too. I miss my Black Cat! Jamie -
My UCS AT-AT There is an UCS AT-AT already?! But, I don't think Lego with go with a version as big as mine. I had alot of problems with the legs and hips. Making them strong enough to carry the weight of the body. The neck was another problem. I don't see them releasing a set like this. I hope I'm wrong, I would love to see their solution to the problems I came across, but, don't see it happening. And to expand on my original post, I forgot about the ACR-170. Out of the 3, AT-TE, RGS, and ACR-170. I think the ARC is most likely since it would probably be the "smallest" of the 3 sets. Lowest piece count. It would also be the easiest build of the 3. The AT-TE would be the hardest, IMO! Jamie
-
Personally, I think if Lego were to release an UCS RGS or AT-TE with 3000 to 4000 pieces, it would sell. Period! I am not a fan of the PT, but, these 2 vehicals are awesome, IMO! I'm 35 and I remember seeing Star Wars in theaters with my dad. I have been hooked from there. The PT wasn't as strong as the OT in terms of story, but, did have some great looking ships, walkers, and vehicals. Jamie

I played with horns alot and this is the best solution I could come up with. That also looks the best, IMO. Lego might surprise us if they make a Frank and use those pieces, but, I too, doubt it. Any other ideas?! Also, the piece count for Frank is 138. So Lightning, Mater, Frank, and 2 Tractor with some fence pieces would probably be around a $50 set. Jamie

I made a sticker for the red Vader helmet. All you have to do is buy red body parts for the fig, torso, arms, hands, legs, and waist. Jamie
-
Last night I was messing around with MLCAD and came up with this. I like it and it is buildable. I think all the pieces used are available in the right colors, with the exception of the round elbows, they are only available in chrome. Now for a sticker for the face?! It is not 100% movie accurate, but, I tried to make as I thought Lego would! Also, Mater is just for scale and reference! Now, to work on some tractors?! Jamie

I looked for a topic on this, but, didn't see one. While looking at some of the pics of the 2012 sets I saw this: http://www.miniland.nl/Nieuws/index.htm , click on the LEGO Cars van 2012 page. We're getting a Red. Mater with the Parachute is cool, but, I'm not really a fan of the second movie. Hopefully we will get some sets on Mater's Tall Tales in the summer wave. Rescue Squad Mater, Mater the Greater, El Materdor, Unidentified Flying Mater. Where is the Tractor tipping set. Frank, 2 Tractors and Mater with Lightning. Jamie

How you doing on your model, Cavegod!? Done yet?? Jamie

Thanks for the response! When and if I pick one up I will post a review of it. I will shop around for one at a fair price with reasonable shipping so it may be a little while. Right now, I am leaning towards either Big Ben or the London Bridge. Thanks, Jamie

Not sure how "new" these are, but, I found them on accident on Brickshelf. They have sparked my curiousity. Anybody out there build any of these sets or with Ligao for that matter. The series itself looks like Lego Architecture, but, on a larger scale. I should say the first Lego Architecture. The series with the Sears Tower, Space Needle, Empire State Building, and the Hancock Tower, not Fallingwater or the newer Robie House. I am on the fence about picking one up just to see if I like them. There are 6 or 7 in the series. Besides the ones pictured there are also, The London Bridge, The Eiffle Tower, The Tian An Men, and The Spasskaya Tower. The rest are pictured here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=472389 I like the look of this London Bridge better then the Lego version. The click hinges have always bugged me on the suspension for the Lego one. They look out of place. Using chains works better for it, IMO! Thoughts on Ligao, the line as a whole, any?? Jamie

Sounds great to me, I'll wait for pics to make a final verdict, but, I would like to get a Triceratops in the same style of the Dino Attack theme. I loved that theme and wish it would have lasted longer. If this one goes another year or 2, maybe a Plesiosaur VS. Sub, thanks to landshark for the idea! Tank VS. Stegosaurus. Can't wait for pics, Jamie

Now, that was funny! Honestly, I don't know. Nothing I have build while drinking has fallen apart, so, not sure, yet. YET!
-
I am more of a beer guy, but, I do like drinking beer and building new sets!! My wife laughs at me, an adult drink and a kids toy??? Interesting combination, she says. Jamie
-
Wow, you never disappoint!! Great job all around! The shape, the details, nevermind the painting. I don't mind painting pieces when they are "needed", like on this model. Everything is perfect on this! Wish Lego would have you design some UCS models! Jamie

Oops!

I've seen afew people complain about the new TIE not fitting in with the old sets. Why would you complain?! That just means over the next year to 2, we maybe getting a new Interceptor and Bomber in new colors and hopefully with wings that are built like these! Possibly even a new Vader's TIE. Out with the old and in with the new! Jamie

I'm glad to see they went with a big Hulk like the Wampa or Hagrid! I hope Killer Croc and Bane get the same treatment too. Maybe, and this is a big maybe, Thing, Thanos and Darkseid as larger minifigs! Killer Croc and Bane were huge in Batman: Arkham Asylam. As for X-Men, I hope for a brick-built Sentinel. That would be great, along with a Danger Room. Professor X will cool with his wheelchair. Does Lego make a wheelchair? That would be a new element, or several! I know he has a hover chair too, but, he has been shown in comics and in the movies in a regular, old-fashion, non-hovering chair. Which is cooler?! Juggernaut would be great to see too!! I do hope for a Fantastic Four series later too. Maybe a Trans-Clear Invisible Women, a Trans Red-Orange Human Torch, larger Thing, and how would they do Mr. Fantastic, stretchy Lego?? Brick-built Galactus too?! Chrome Silver Surfer and board! I'm sure, some or all, of this won't happen, but, lets hope for a comic series that lasts as long as the Star Wars line. The longer it goes the more we will see! Jamie

Wow, good to see someone else building this beast! Good luck and if you need anything, let me know! Keep us posted! And thanks for the nod! Jamie

Which theme/subtheme did you miss and regret?
jamie75 replied to BeKindRewind's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I maybe the only one, but, I miss the Dino Attack theme. I thought the sets very very cool. We got a big helicopter, a hummer, and cool tank. The really liked the Dinos as well. Personally, I wish the theme lasted a couple of more years. They could have done a base with traps and cages. A Triceratops, Stegosaurus, and Plesiosaur in Dino Attack "size" and "style" would have been cool, IMO! But, again, thats just me! And as others have mentioned, the Modular Buildings, I got into the series too late and missed Market Street and Cafe Corner! Jamie
