  1. That has been stated on their website for some time, but I have gotten multiple promos on several occasions in the past. I have always waited for the first order to ship before placing the next order though. They may have started enforcing that rule since then, so no guarantees it still works...
  2. I think this series looks great! I might even like it better than Series 1 actually. Favourites are Jack & Sally. I like that all the triplets are there, wouldn't make any sense to have just one - either all or none (I'm happy with having all). Chip & Dale are great too. Mickey & Minnie are probably my least faves.
  3. Hm, yeah. Since I'm primarily interested in minifigs, these sets doesn't really do much for me. I don't care about bigfigs, outriders or quantum suits. That leaves Captein Marvel, Cap's helmet, and maybe the Hall of Armour.
  4. Indeed, not loving those after market prices. I bought a bunch of Brickheadz at 50% off to get the Bricktober packs, probably have 30+ unopened duplicates that I intended to just use for parts. Would be happy to trade with ones I missed out on (either new or opened), just PM me if anyone is interested. Btw, anyone knows of shops that still have Ron & Dumbledore, Grindelwald & Scamander, or Rocket & Groot at regular retail prices?
  5. Thanks for the review, excellent as always! I find this series to be disappointing overall. Really like the Wizard of Oz figures, and the Giraffe guy and golfer are cool. For the rest, it's just some accessories I find interesting; Abe's hat, the various music tiles and the classic space toolbox. Got a box yesterday which I'm sharing with two other AFOL's, and had a full set in the single row that I opened. Hopefully the other two rows are also complete sets... Edit: Just saw the TV-spot with the air-duct guy... now I'm even more disappointed, that would have been an excellent fig for this series.
  6. Thanks for the heads up! Didn't expect it to open this early.
  7. I would love to be wrong on this, we'll see when the dust has settled...
  8. Thanks for the review, this set is awesome! This is probably as close to a new Classic Space set we will ever get, gonna get a lot of these. An undamaged Benny would have been perfection of course, but 3 new Classic Space figs + a printed brick at that price is a great deal regardless.
  9. When Brickheadz first appeared I decided to just skip the entire theme. They didn't look all that interesting to me, and I couldn't imagine wanting to have them on display. Fast forward to the Harry Potter Brickheadz which I really love, figured I'd pick them up after Skærbæk this year. No such luck, Ron & Dumbledore all gone, and marked as out of stock/sold out at S@H too. Took me by surprise, since at the local shops Brickheadz have looked like shelf warmers that end up at sale. Hopefully they will be back in stock. Kinda funny that I'm able to pick up Black Widow from the first series (IMO the best of series 1), but not get a hold of many of the new ones... I've also found that building Brickheadz have an oddly therapeutic effect, even more so than regular LEGO sets. So if anyone still haven't built their first Brickheadz I would recommend giving them a chance.
  10. Shipping to Mustafar is a lot more expensive than the UK though. (Ok, that was weak... I couldn't resist)
  11. Disappointing that these sets won't be available at S@H in more countries countries, they look great.
  12. I'm fairly certain the prices will be adjusted next year. They've done some automation/integration work over the last few years which affected some of their other prices, and I'm guessing this affects B&P prices too.
  13. That sure is one mixed bag of CMF's! The Oz figs are cool, love the gold record tile and other record tile. Abraham's hat looks cool, Wyldstyle's hood is good, and I like the giraffe. The big questions is; How many Benny's Space Squad packs should I buy? Think I'll start with ten and take it from there...
  14. I think the D2C looks very cool, looking forward to high-res pictures.
  15. Nice! After a 3 year drought I'm swimming in a C of prizes!
  16. I'm looking closely at the actual figure I have in my hand, and there is no doubt that the print is not properly aligned. The belt buckle print extends all the way to the bottom of the torso and part of the buckle is missing. Along with the huge gap at the top (just compare it to other figures) it's pretty obvious what has happened.
  17. I think LEGO deserves a bit more credit than that. The designers working on Star Wars sets (or any other theme for that matter) are not out to screw us over, they are working to bring us the best sets they can within the confines of what they can do. They don't always hit a home run in terms of AFOL-approval, but we are a fickle bunch that will never really be satisfied aren't we? I'm sure something like a new Stormtrooper helmet mold originated within the team because they thought they could improve on it, rather than being handed down from above. My personal opinion based on the pictures is that I like the old one better, glad I picked up plenty of the previous Stormie BP's. Haven't opened my X-Wing set yet to check out the new helmet so I'll wait before I pass judgement on that. On a more upbeat note, the Death Star escape set sounds very cool! It is refreshing to get something new from the OT instead of repeats of the same old vehicles.
  18. My ideal Santa looks like... actually I don't care as long as he brings me LEGO! Thanks for hosting @CopMike, and I hope you fixed that nasty bug in the script that picks the winners - three years running now without a prize!
  19. Oh come on... seriously? How many stores sold the Diagon Alley set in addition to the one where the first picture came from? Claiming this is the cause they run out of stock prematurely is a huge assumption on your part. Barnes and Noble screwup? Of course you blame that on LEGO too. Not having a backup-plan for if a distributor pulled out? Are you being serious? No business ever has a backup plan for one-off promos.
  20. Look at the picture above showing The Grandmaster & Ian Malcom. The print is too low, leaving a thick black line at the top of the torso, and cutting of the belt print at the bottom.
  21. Thanks for the review! This is a great pack for sure, with four very nice figs. My only complaint is that Bucky's face print seems a bit weird and the fig doesn't quite 'pop' with it's dark torso print (it may be accurate though, just looks a slightly dull to me). Compared to the previous round of Bricktober minifigure packs it's a slam dunk though, guess I'm getting a bit spoiled.
  22. Thanks for the review! I'm not too thrilled with this pack. I really like the Ian Malcom figure (even though I see yours have the same misaligned torso print as mine), but the rest of the pack is not that exciting. Owen and Claire have been in a lot of sets, and even if these prints are new they aren't really adding much except for Owen's expression. Getting a baby dino instead of a figure seems like a cop-out. If only they had gone for a John Hammond fig instead of that dino I would have been over the moon, but alas...
  23. Finally got the HP & Super Heroes Bricktober packs from the local TRU. Not possible to buy directly, so I had to buy stuff I didn't need to get them.
  24. I'd go with Bricks & Pieces on shop.lego.com (not to be confused with Pick-a-brick), and compare those prices to Bricklink (taking into consideration shipping costs for multiple Bricklink orders).
