I doubt LEGO has any interest in playing these kinds of games. More likely the products are registered in the database with an available for purchase from date, but stock is still registered as zero for whatever reason -> directly to backordered. I do think the sets will be extremely popular though, and it is a really strong lineup. Impossible to say if LEGO has correctly estimated demand or not, and we know from the first Jurassic World wave and the UCS MF that if they misjudged demand it might take a while for the sets to be back on the shelves. If it was important to me to get the sets early I would not take any chances.

Depends. I think some of the 2010/2011 sets are still excellent. 4840 The Burrow, 4842 Hogwarts Castle and 10217 Diagon Alley are the standout sets for me, wouldn't sell those unless there were new sets that I felt were better. As for the other sets, I wouldn't mind selling them if needed too in order to get the new wave. The exception would be if there was a particular minifigure in them I really liked which so far doesn't have a newer version.

Nice to see another large Ideas set, and it looks like it's well done. Never seen the show or original toys though, so this is of no interest to me.

Those look like new prints to me, albeit similar to the Dimensions variants.

Wow! Best. CMF Series. Ever! I will definitely get a full box, expect this series to sell like crazy! And there are still lots of characters left to do for series 2!

Orient Expedition - Jungle Encounter
LegoFjotten replied to Skalldyr's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Cool build! I really like the way you posed the figs & composed the shot in the last image, gives it a great dynamic feel! I saw the competition over at Roguebricks and was tempted to have a go at Temple of Mount Everest, but not enough time unfortunately.- 16 replies

Wow, there sure are a lot of Captain Hindsights here today. Funny how none of them shared their "wisdom" before the latest news... A bit disappointed by the news. I was hoping for some nice sections of Hogwarts with detailed interiors, interesting building techniques and of course a nice selection of minifigures (including some exclusive ones). The microscale set will probably look great though, and chances are I will still get it. Just hope the size (mostly in terms of depth) is reasonable so it is possible to display it on a wide shelf. Probably no minifigs, no interiors. Some clever techniques will probably be there but microscale is it's own thing so less interesting for me personally. On the bright side, I think the regular sets looks great, with some great new minifigures. Add the CMF figures and the TRU promotion, and you'll have a respectable collection of minifigures from the world of Harry Potter.

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
LegoFjotten replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
In my experience licensed minifigure parts rarely become available, even when listed as 'Out of Stock' initially (as opposed to not being listed at all). To be able to get all the parts for a certain licensed minifigure is highly unlikely IMO. -
Thank you all for your comments! I did in fact enjoy building the road & backdrop more than the car, not much of a car builder really. Always nice getting showcased by The Brothers Brick!

Speed Champions building challenge entry topic
LegoFjotten replied to Holodoc's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
I posted mine here: -
This is a small build for the Eurobricks 2018 event in Billund. The goal was to build a car in the Speed Champions style, either an actual car or a movie car. Since I'm not a car buff I opted for the latter. The car is Captain Nemo's car, from The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. I took some creative liberties to make it more Speed Champions like rather than going for accuracy. Comments are welcome, and check out my Flickr for higher resolution photos! Wasn't quite sure which forum this belonged in, but since it's a steampunk car it ended up here.

Eurobricks Event 2018 - The storys and pictures
LegoFjotten replied to CopMike's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
Thank you all for a great event! Very nice both to see familiar faces again and meeting those attending for the first time. Great work by the organizers Bonaparte, Holodoc and Jim, and of course CopMike for creating another great event set! Won't make it to Windsdor, but I'm sure I'll meet some of you in Skærbæk in September. -
Holodoc already got me covered with the 2 I need, but thanks!
-
Since there are two holes in that part, a minifig could go number 2 in both, which of course adds up to AND multiplies to 4. Bazinga! (Oh ok, I promise I will stop... mostly).

Excellent, thank you! Found 1 1/2 of these, not pristine but I will bring them and make you an offer you can't refuse. If anyone is interested in Mixels I have a mixed assortment from series 2 and up. Just let me know which ones you are after and I will check what I have.

Event 2018 Billund building challenge!
LegoFjotten replied to Holodoc's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
Sooo... anyone who can help me out by printing a picture on a half decent printer? My 10 year old laser printer which is low on toner (and produces bonus random black spots all over the page) just doesn't cut it. -
I'm looking for a couple of mudguards for the building challenge, anyone have two of these in white (either for sale or just to borrow during the event): Bricklink
-
I will check, think I might have gotten these guys in a used lot a while back. Will let you know.
-
Usually yes. They had similar sets last year, but I remember they skipped the Bricktober sets in 2015.

Thanks! Found a Silver Centurion polybag for you. I'm looking for a few figs from the Batman Movie: I'd also be interested in a few extra of those Penguin top hats.
-
I'm interested in one of each of these, and would love to check out the minifig parts too. I think I might have a Silver Centurion polybag, will check.

I got a Darth Revan for you.

Yes, search for first set, add parts to bag. Use the "Add parts from another set" link near the top to go back and search for the next set. -
Marvel Superheroes 2018 - Set Discussion
LegoFjotten replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Riiiight.... cause no child would ever want the BIG Hulkbuster... they want the small one... Not that it matters much anyway. The set is happening. Most likely sales will fall within an expected range and the show will go on.- 3,962 replies
