  1. I like that first one with the green Inferno hair and claws. What is it?
  2. I don't like it either. A smoother bigfig mould would have looked better.
  3. Maybe. I would like to see those globes used as space helmets again, since they've recently only been used as lamp globes and actual globes. And they did use that style for Mysterio in the game, so it would be nice to see.
  4. All the pictures I've seen show it being Slumbo's crystal color. But we don't have the open-stud in brown for complete accuracy.
  5. What I was showing was his comment underneath the photo.
  6. LEGO doesn't like its moulds to be single-use, so they'll sneak one in repurposed wherever they can. The aesthetics of the Hurricane Mech and the Toxicopter (my name for it) are odd, but I think in-hand, they'd be better than they look. My only annoyance with the copter is that it's very difficult to stand a minifigure in the back, since they have to bend to attach and you have to straighten them after that. It's much easier to seat someone there.
  7. I'd just think it's because Furty is a common mammal, and his face is a little creepy, too. The name is also one letter off if you don't call him Furtivo. That community does come to mind, but can we stop here and think about Chima as the creative LEGO theme it is?
  8. Meltdown is great! I suffered through the Astor Lab build, since I wanted to get to the helicopter (and Toxikita) and I am very pleased. The cockpit and side bubbles integrate well, and the Technic beams and pin-hoses add to the industrial/scrap-heap feel. The color scheme is great, and I like the new piece colors. I only wish Retox (and Adam Acid) had Bright Green arms to match the head, since the heads are trans-bright green. The lime would match trans-neon yellow like Dr. D. Zaster, but the only minifigures with Bright Green arms are the Dino Suit Guy and polybag Hulk. Toxi's great, though. Her look totally clashes with her app voice, but I like the two faces, although I don't understand why one is human and one is less so.
  9. Got Toxikita and Riverside Raid. Waiting to build them, but the parts are great in Meltdown. Has to be the most Bright Light Orange in one set excluding Chima, and the pieces in new colors, too! Lime donut rings, BLO half-cylinders and engine cones, the Technic cages, and the triconnector in black for the rotors, too.
  10. I NEED that. If it is a S@H promo, I'll get the Phoenix temple. But what about Sykor? Is he a TRU standard poly? Interesting to see that Frax has no head decoration, while the three other phoenixes had some sort of print on their "foreheads".
  11. I already have the TLM game, but I planned to go to GameStop tomorrow anyway, so it looks like I'll get GM Bilbo with my planned LEGO The Hobbit purchase!
  12. Where would we get a queen? There isn't one in the series, and a new tiara isn't likely yet.
  13. Monster Fighters was odd. Its sets took influence from Studios and the monsters were darker redesigns of the lighthearted CMFs.
  14. Depends on whether or not, objectively, you want the heroes or the villains to be the main focus of your choice.
  15. From SilentMode's Mall review: It seems Emma has gotten a bit full of herself, and challenged Gewinne!th to a duel… and won. Standing victorious over her pummelled corpse, Emma flexes her muscle and claims the trophy, as she proudly takes the title of “WIN”.
  16. I also like the multi-use designs of HF parts. Splitface's face pieces could be rotated to switch the colors (or if you got two, make a single-color head), and the beasts' heads can be jaws.
  17. What about Meltdown don't you like? The aesthetic is a bit odd, but, honestly I appreciate the Agents 2.0 reference. Hurricane Heist is definitely down there with Tremor. No problem with them, but their drab militatistic colors and less interesting minifigures don't appeal to me as much.
  18. Sure, they're different, but that's intentional. They're not supposed to be the same thing, just a reference to the original HQ. I quite like the folded look of the new one, and the way it splits and unfolds is really clever as well. There are more exclusive characters in the new one, too. I'll say I like both, but I need to get the new HQ to truly form an opinion. The vehicles and their stowage were so much better in the old one, though.
  19. Clever idea, and nice additional GS tie-in! I might try that if/when I get the HQ. Does anyone think that the Agents' robot dog, P.U.P. (seen in the HQ chapter of the app), could be physically built?
  20. I know, but I haven't heard of a specific region not getting sets, and LEGO hasn't stopped an export due to bad sales before.
  21. That ad is promising. Since there is honestly no reason the CHI Fire vs. Ice constraction sets would be denied in North America, I've heard of region-exclusive sets/promotions, but not sets excluded from one specific region. I'd be very surprised (and equally disappointed) if the rumor were true. Unfortunately, we have to wait and see. If Jang is doing these reviews, where is he from? Australia?
  22. I'm considering the Destructoid. Normal Zane, Cryptor, and an awesome Nindroid vehicle make it seem like a good buy.
  23. I'm having a $40 set dilemma. Should I buy Scorm's Scorpion Stinger, Spinlyn's Cavern, or Toxikita's Toxic Meltdown? What are the greatest merits of each? I'm looking to fill out my Chima and UA collections, and these are the ones I like most from each theme right now.
  24. But why would they try to suppress an entire franchise because of movies they hated? It doesn't make much sense for them to think that people would only have the movies in mind.
  25. Sorry, I don't usually point out stuff like that, but someone else was bound to. I don't know how to feel about Tunneler and Crystal. Splitter and Queen are the best Beasts, in my opinion.
