I don't think it's this time that bothers me, and it's very possible that this minifig will be in a polybag, or a Shop at Home bonus. But it's LEGO's continuation of the exclusives, and the uncertainty for now whether the minifig will appear again or not that bothers me.

Oh, boy. LEGO needs to read these topics and realize how much everyone hates the exclusive system. The few happy people to own them are nothing compared to the fans hurt by this. (My heart goes out to completionists.) LEGO is for everyone, and it should be that way for their minifigures. If they make event exclusives, use keychains or special printed bricks or eventually mainstream minifigs like Azog! Not minifigures (with printed short legs) that no one else can get. Has anyone sent complaints? Maybe an influx of them would make a point. I'd try anything at this point. (And rarity aside, how is that thing worth 35 dollars? It's a bit of a stretch even for an exclusive.)

I don't think they really think of him as the face of DC, but he was a recognizable Batman, and DC doesn't really have someone like Stan Lee to fill that role.

The article showed an Adam West character, so he'll be voicing himself, either as the emperiled idiot for this game and a bonus character, or to provide the level intros. 60's Bats is possible, too.

So does that render (and voice acting shot) indicate that Adam West will be the Stan Lee of Beyond Gotham? I hope he's not so annoying, but that looks great!

Is Bionicle truly confirmed? Those images could be fake (but don't start that argument here). I seriously doubt a crossover with Ninjago. It's jumped enough sharks already.

They had the LEGO weekend for backstock exclusives (the only reason I have Good Morning Bilbo), which was a wide mishap.

Oh dear. I guess that means GameStop as early as I can go come release date. I had no idea how unreliable it could be. Why can't these people be honest...I shouldn't be surprised, but it still disgusts me.

I just realized that if Space Batman is an SDCC minifigure, he's a guaranteed preview. The Con-exclusive minifigures don't have exclusive moulds, and Space Bats has two new pieces, so if he is an exclusive, it shouldn't be for long.

Thanks, that's what I thought. Go to the store, reserve a game, and pick it up with minifigure on release. I was intending to go to a location, anyway.

I apologize if I sound ignorant, but I've never done it before, so how does preordering work? I'm going for Plastic Man at GameStop.

Physical stretchiness? The image is what we're getting, a four-piece minifigure in a polybag. You could certainly try lengthening his body like that, but removing legs from a brick is very difficult. He is DC's counterpart to Mr. Fantastic. so I'm sure he'll act identically in the game.

It's on other systems. I'd recommend the games, they're amusing, fun, and know their fanbase. And the absolute WORST SDCC exclusive would be Space Batman. I would only grudgingly forgive LEGO if it was a preview minifigure like Azog. I do like to collect the batsuits, and if SB isn't widely available, LEGO will probably face even worse controversy than they did in years before. Zur-En-Arrh I can pass, but I'd love to have it.

I hope there is no DLC, since they never release it for Wii U, which is the system I own. I knew Plastic Man would be made somehow! That head would be very useful for fleshie beachgoers. I don't really care about the character, but I'm definitely going to preorder. Now what happens to Space Batman and Zur-En-Arrh? I'm still very skeptical that they would make sets specifically based off of the video game. Maybe they';ll have a Space Batman, Brainiac in vehicle, and GL set like they did with Arctic Bats, Freeze, and Aquaman. Since they make sets and TT bases the character and vehicle designs off of them, it's likely that such a set was turned into a major feature of the game.

We should make a thread on missed LEGO finds! My town's resale shop once had the Troll Warship, originally $80 for $20, and I went back home to get the money, and when I returned, the set was gone. I forgot to mention that a town fair had a box of old LEGO (things from Fright Knights, UFO, and Adventurers) in one of those blue LEGO buckets, so I got it and I was the most pleased to find the Willa the Witch (Hubble Bubble in the UK) minifigure's hat, head, cape, and torso. Oddly enough, a couple of years before, I had gotten an assortment of LEGO with her dress slope piece, and none of her other parts. So when I got home, I had the complete minifigure from two different finds!

If you want a playset, get the Lab. If you want something that looks good, get the Blackbird. Both sets have terrific figures, though, so it's a tossup. Several have said that the X-men set isn't quite worth the price compared to other sets of the same price. Although, you could always make a random choice since you intend to get them all.

I'm betting on a 70% chance that we'll get GL. Space Batman has been rumored, and the render seemed like it was for a physical minifig (neck loop for wings), but will they make LB3-inspired sets or have Space Bats as a preorder bonus? Or Zur-En-Arrh Batman? Or even include one of them in a movie adaptation of LB3 like Clark Kent?

Do you mean that those would be exclusives you wouldn't care about? I just want LEGO to stop making the Con exclusives altogether.

Best/Worst designed licenced minifigure ever?
8BrickMario replied to Santaduckz's topic in LEGO Licensed
Vernon is good for the hair in that color, but he is pretty bland and uses outdated printing. Luke Skywalker's new face is really ugly. They tried to capture Mark Hamill, but they made it too detailed. They should have stuck with what they had. -
Why do people always bring up the lack of boot printing? Some of them need it. but most minifigures are just fine without it. It's extra decoration that LEGO thought could be sacrificed, and I'm fine with it. But I do agree if they make renders, we should get exactly what is shown.

Krusty Krab... I can't believe I never thought of that! Great funny!

It should be released on August 1st. I noticed in the Parts and Instructions sections, the same line of text was repeated for each picture.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 12 Rumours and Discussion
8BrickMario replied to Rufus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Who knows? Actual cape printing seems unlikely, since Superman didn't get it, but Vitruvius and the old Harry Potter figs had decorated capes, so maybe it's a surprise they're keeping. It would be too bad if they embellished the figures (or used ideas that got rejected for physical release) in the game.- 1,109 replies

Anything as long as he's not a Con(ning) exclusive. Then he'll be far more than a Pennyworth.
