  1. Having gotten the Classic King, I'm quite impressed. The capes are difficult to put on, but the look is so worth it. He looks properly regal and lavish, and the backwards projection of the cape just makes it look larger and flowier.
  2. I'm hopeful that a Bride of Frankenstein (or, in CMF terms, Monster Bride) minifigure will happen, but I feel like it would have been shown off as it would have a new mold. But there's absolutely no clues as to who the remaining five are, so it really could be anyone. I want more monsters and fewer costumes in the remaining ones. I'm guessing that there will be a short character though, either as a smaller monster or a costumed child on Halloween night.
  3. I've actually seen teapots that heavily resemble magic lamps. But that piece doesn't really match the style of a Japanese one.
  4. I don't think he's a prototype, he's just got the wrong minifigure head. This is not an offical image that LEGO intended for release. Although that face resembles a hypothetical Spooky Boy more than a ghost. It's quite similar to the SG from Series 12's. I just pray that he has a less stupid expression on the other side, whatever the head goes to. Although a wisp-tailed white ghost would be an instant buy for me.
  5. I got Rokit today, and I like him. I wish his mechanical brain dome didn't overhang on the sides of his head, but that's fine. I switched out the machinery under the dome out for an organic brain by stacking two layers of four pink flower plates, so he'll be a mad-science cyborg creature for the Series 14 scientist to create.
  6. I'm fine without some back printing, and I think the ones who needed it got it. The Lady Cyclops needed the back half of her top printed, while the Paleontologist didn't suffer from a lack thereof. I don't think it's sexist to want a female fig to have torso curves, but in the Samurai's case, I think they would have been unnecessary. The Kimono Girl's robes are loose enough that they didn't give her curves, so I think the Samurai is justified as well.
  7. Not every female needs to have curves, especially not armored ones. I just don't like how weak the plastic on the armor is, since you'll inevitably see white stress marks where it's been squeezed in the bag.
  8. I think this one is much better than Manta's. This one can eat a minifigure, its head matches the body color better, and it doesn't use a sticker. And we've had a couple of sets with normal fig-eating sharks, so for me a robotic one is a nice change. The metallic head and body colors are just a bonus.
  9. Still, there must be more depth to the set, more space behind the clown arch or something. The set looks hardly worth $80, and no amount of good figures or a few large pieces is going to justify that for me. I only anticipate one new mold in the set (Harley's hair), and the slide and ice panels shouldn't bump up the price too much. Perhaps they'll be using a lot of smaller pieces for the play features. But we should realize the Batmobile and cannon do take away from parts that could have been used to flesh out the park itself.
  10. I feel the urge to collect all of the ghost sets. Those colors just look so good. All that Spring Green...
  11. I was looking at the box from Toy Fair, and I can't tell if the series color is black or a dark eggplant purple color. The lighting makes it look dark purple, which is great, since it's a new color for the series, unlike the recycled yellow and green colors from Series 12 and 13.
  12. The video shows a turntable of minifigures, and one is a torso on top of clear bricks. It has a new robot head topped by the bell jar piece with a brain-printed Technic ball inside it. The link is a couple of pages back.
  13. I never expected it to win, due to it belonging to an IP LEGO currently owns, and that it's a huge model. Its popularity should make them realize we want an Alfred minifigure, though!
  14. Well, so far, that's our concern. What we've seen certainly does not seem worth $120 at all, and even $90 seems like a stretch. I hope the bad quality of the prelims are hiding some good things, and that the next Toy Fair will change our opinions for the better.
  15. These new figures look odd. That new ghostly matter leg piece looks interesting, but those little ghost/slime monsters look weird. I feel like the new flyer pod thing is too gimmicky, though. I love Wu's dragon for the teapot and appearance of the thing, and the villain's Spring Green is very exciting, as are all the trans-neon green parts. I'm on the fence about the new ghost bottom (I would have to see the shape of it better, and how it looks on a baseplate), but it looks cool. The new ninja suits are strange to me, especially the faux-NRG ones. I'm intrigued, though.
  16. It won't be majorly different. Perhaps a few parts or colors changing, but that'll be about it.
  17. I'm still baffled. I can't seem to understand how Jokerland would be the same price as the Lion CHI Temple. Perhaps the final set is larger or has more to it than the preliminary picture shows. I'm becoming a bit more attached to it. I like the slide into the chemical vat (especially since some trans studs could be poured down it to fill it up), but that not-Joker clown face bugs me. If it weren't Joker's arch, I wouldn't mind, but it doesn't even look like him, though I like the bowler hat and bow tie. The slide doesn't seem connected to anything, and there's an odd purple support piece below the falling sign that I can't identify. I'm curious as to how the beam Harley rides on works, and what the Penguin section does. I need to see the final set at Toy Fair to make up my mind.
  18. Even though the Horseman is a bit too bright (hopefully it'll change to dark blue), that pumpkin mask looks great on a minifigure.
  19. This series is most certainly not Scooby-Doo. That was just a rumor. (There are yellow minifigures in the series; it's not licensed). The series just so happens to coincide with Scooby-Doo.
  20. No way is Jokerland on par with a $120 set. That makes me hope there's more to it.
  21. I'm sure the tongue tribe will have a form of "lick" in their name. Since the mechanical tribe are a scrap metal/junkyard theme, I would guess that the word "scrap" is in their name somewhere.
  22. Or just look up "lego jokerland/batboat pursuit", and you should find them.
  23. I've looked and looked, and nowhere did I see a Black Lagoon-esque swamp monster with purple hands and stomach scales. Please provide us with the source material!
  24. The lighthouse is dark red, white, and a lot of grey pieces. I hope the small Mummy Museum Mystery set looks good enough. I can't see the Scooby-Doo mummy being a very interesting-looking minifigure, though, especially compared the the CMF and MF mummies.
  25. We'll call him a "trick-or-treater". The kiddies can't know! But honestly. what I like about the mask is that it offers two options. Is it a costume, or is the Lumberjack out on the full moon?
