I just wish the Horseman had a Dark Blue suit. It would make him look more imposing, and it wouldn't sacrifice too much in terms of accuracy. And the lavender hands and belly on the swamp monster both perplex and bother me. It just doesn't look right. What bothers me about the Mystery Plane set is that it looks worth $15 at most. The set's mostly basic plates, and doesn't look like it has enough parts (or licensing fees) to justify a $20 set. I'm still on the fence about the Lighthouse Keeper. I'll need to see his face to be sure what I think about him.

Interesting. Yeah, the Horseman is a bit too bright, but it's accurate. The Lighthouse Keeper reuses Balin's beard to an interesting (though perhaps not terrific) effect. That Swamp Monster looks good in Dark Green, but the lavender looks odd. The sets themselves look good. They look suitably cartoony, with the heroes' things being bright and simple, and the villains' stuff being darker.

Oh, geez. Brainjar looks really freaky. I love it! That robot head that supports the brain (which looks like a printed Technic ball) looks nice. And yeah, the prelims actually made it clear that the long-haired redhead was Terabyte sans helmet.

I wonder what Spogg, Turg, and Tungster's theme is. They have some connection to tongues, but their names indicate something more. They look so crazy and creative, but what theme is justifying them?

I hope that's not what we get. It's not very interesting looking. We've been speculating about a green-skinned Ivy, since they now make Spring Green minifigure hands. We know nothing about what Ivy will look like, though. -

He's red. But the prelims used Killer Croc, so I'm sure they're going with the green version. -
Oh my... the first and third ones are just perfection!

I'm guessing Ivy and Penguin should have new designs (or at least Ivy will). -
I'm liking Berp's arms and Vaka-Waka's faces. Snax doesn't impress me, Those tongue guys are so crazy, I gotta have them all! The steampunk guys look okay (but they look more "scrapyard" than "steampunk", and the construction ones do, too. The new Frosticons aren't much, but I'm wondering how they did the eye on the clear dome. I like the new eye tiles. I like the snowmobile Mixel. Glorp Corp is meh. I got Globert today, and I love him.

It would be a difficult challenge to make them "in System", so perhaps not. -

The Toy Wonder? I think it might be possible. I'm not sure, though. -
Ah, that would make sense. When the clock strikes twelve, the Count comes out.

I like the missing window panes, and the stickers on the windows are reminiscent of the Haunted House. That bent-window sticker on the tower is nice, too. I also noticed the tilted columns to the sides of the door. It looks really good! Two jack-'o-lantern masks is just an added bonus. Is the clock face a new part, to have four studs and a hole in the center but also hold the studs and tiles? Something makes me feel like the wall behind the Vampire is a rotating passageway for him to dramatically appear on the balcony, since there are visible gaps behind it. I just don't see where they would have put a knob to spin it around. I hope it's not manual, if it does rotate.

For me, the greatest disappointment is the overuse of dark colors and the multitude of exposed studs. It just doesn't look so good when it has all of the rough texture from the studs, and the dark grey around the turbines doesn't look good.

Her pigtails really don't change style much between the color switch. We know this Harley is based on her appearance in Harley Quinn #1 and the shape of the pigtails piece is a very good match for them. She's got to have the hairpiece, either way. There's nothing else they could use for her, and I think it's a good fit. The Zombie Cheerleader just so happened to be a good character to use the hair shape on, since it's a useful piece. -

Hmm, sometimes. But here, it seems like the hairpiece was conceived for Harley's use, but we saw it first on the Zombie Cheerleader. There's absolutely no alternative piece for them to use for her New 52 design. -

What do you mean? It's obvious by the design we're getting that the pigtails will be used. The S13 Goblin hat is being used on the Green Goblin. Why wouldn't the hair (which is perfect for Harley) not be used on her? -
Only one Fang Gang member used gold pieces. I doubt they'd do another repeat Series 2 tribe just yet, since we're getting new Frosticons.

I'm pretty sure that hair was designed specifically for her. I wonder how the red/black printing will look. -
I wonder what they did for the vampire. I hope it's a spare head, because that hair probably won't cover up a second face.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 14 Rumors and Discussion
8BrickMario replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Honestly, though, I think it's a little strange how some people condemn a monster series for being themed, but say "I'd absolutely love a Castle or Space series!!!" I, for one, have a bit less interest in those themes, and I think at this point, a Space series would be as repetitive as the Monster Series. We've had several evil robots, a good deal of aliens, and too many astronaut/armored trooper characters. How would a Space series be any more original than Series 14? We'd probably see a recolored Alien Trooper, Classic Alien, reuse of Space Miner helmet, etc. I understand that some Space fans would still buy them, but I can acknowledge the unoriginality in this series, and I would do so for a Space one of the same formula. -
No, we're missing more than that (Not counting the themes where photography was prohibited). We still haven't seen the DC sets at all. At least we have one picture of the Mixels.

The special isn't particularly inspired by or influencing the sets. I wouldn't count on Deathstroke's design there to mean the one we get in sets. I wonder if we'll see Harley's hair (and possibly torso, if she has two-toned arms) soon. These leaks just seem very arbitrary. Just an assortment of parts....and one piece of a fig we haven't seen yet. -

LEGO has also stated that they occasionally release new versions of characters for those who miss previous versions. As a bonus, the new counterpart can supplement the older one (Said about the Evil Robot in the Visual Dictionary). -

A Super Heroes CMF line has been a consistent(ly unconfirmed) rumor since the beginning of the theme. There's nothing to go on. By the way, I prefer to call Miss Quinzel's motorcycles "Harleys" too. I can't resist a good pun. Maybe that's why I adore the character so. I'm just glad she gets a proper vehicle and a mallet. this time! I notice that the hammer matches her colors, too, which is great.
