  1. Notice the outline on the Monsters box. You can clearly see the Scientist's taller head among the group. But of course those weren't the final product. A few pieces were missing or switched around.
  2. We've got a construction tribe, the purple tribe, and more Glorp Corp! EDIT: Ninja'd! Notice the Glorp Corp cousin of Flurr in the background!
  3. If anything, the fan demand for Raven to be in the video game should have let LEGO know how much people seem to want her. And this theme has plenty of time to include her.
  4. If the vampire doesn't need to sit in a vehicle, it won't be the soft cape. I wonder if his cape will be one piece like Lord Vampyre's or two like the Alien Villainess's. I will be disappointed if Velma doesn't have a second face without her glasses.
  5. It's got purple eyes, tan teeth, and a silver body. We saw the robot shark a few months ago.
  6. I like these. The figures all look great (especially Daphne and Velma) and the sets look really nice. I love the classic designs (such as the vampire, Black Knight, and zombie all from the show). I think I'm going to like this theme a lot! I am most excited to see the Haunted Lighthouse. I wonder what kind of beard the lighthouse keeper will have. It seems like he'll need a new one.
  7. I like the Lady Vampire. She has more spiders on her than Willa the Witch, but she looks nice, since she's not the same as her predecessor. There's a lot of cool costumes you could make with her if you switch out the head.
  8. I'm surprised at this point that you haven't made Raven from LB3 your avatar! If she does appear in a set, I expect people to be Raven mad about it...I apologize.
  9. I'm going more on the "figures weren't finished by the London Toy Fair" than the placeholder idea. I just hope we get something indicating what versions we get on Wednesday.
  10. We're hoping not. Ivy/Starfire was an early confusion, but at the London Toy Fair, the figures were not finished, and were not shown on the packaging. The preliminary pictures were made some time ago and use placeholders, like Hulk and Green Goblin standing in for Darkseid and Gorilla Grodd for the last wave's prelims. I'm confident they'll be different. For Harley, I'm positive (I mean, we have that hair now).
  11. The Werewolf has an enitrely new mold, but it appears to be a mask like the Chima ones.
  12. I thought so too. By the three-month pattern, these should run from August-October, so people will have time to get them before Halloween (and so they won't be awkwardly on the market afterward). Unless there's another series after the Simpsons S2 and before this, these should be an August release.
  13. So far, it's obvious that three of them are definitely costumes. The others could be either real monsters or people dressed up. In the case of the Werewolf (if he has a mask), it could be either one. We may see a couple more costumed characters when the other five are revealed.
  14. That's just perfect! I always thought it was funny how Elizabeth Banks managed to be cast for such different roles!
  15. I wonder. What could require outside batteries? LEGO already makes light and sound bricks.
  16. I feel like "Monsters" is an umbrella term. Perhaps the final term will be "Halloween", since it's clear that three of them are indeed costumed characters.
  17. I think many of them could work outside of the "costumed" context. The witch could be a colorful fairytale villain, the Lady Vampire should have no problem fitting in, the Werewolf Lumberjack could just keep his mask on, the Zombies could all be put into context to make them real monsters, and if you want a cartoonish setup, the Scientist will work well. Tiger Lady, Skeleton Guy, and Flytrap Man are pretty obvious costumes. The rest could work in other areas. I hope we get a few double-sided heads in this series.
  18. Yes, we did. The old mask would look sort of dated in today's sets, and probably went out of production years ago. I hope that if there is a head, it's a new expression for the Lumberjack. Perhaps angry or nervous?
  19. Darkseid won't tip if his hands are on the control sticks, but I didn't even try, since it's one of the worse gimmicks.
  20. That's why my guess is that it's a mask. Costume or transformation? You decide!
  21. Hmm, the werewolf does have a new head. Why? There didn't need to be a new piece for it! This is one occasion in which I think the new moulds can be wasteful. Unless the old one went out of production, there really didn't need to be a new werewolf head! EDIT: Wait, what if it's a mask? There seem to be more costumes than monsters in this series, and it would be just like the Studios/Harry Potter mask, so if you own the Lumberjack, you can transform him. Never mind! If it's a mask, I'll gladly take the new piece!
  22. Not necessarily. The Halloween-style "wolfman" is usually upright but with a fully canine head. This one is just an excuse to reuse the Monster Fighters head. I see the Series 4 Werewolf as "mid-transformation".
  23. I'm surprised by how many people think the new scientist looks like a Despicable Me minion. Sure, I get it, his head is tall and he has kooky goggles. But he's a representation of the "cartoon scientist with a brain that's too big for his head". The skin color is unfortunate since it lends the comparison more easily, but his face is on the bottom of his head and he has tufts of hair. People are being more dismissive of this series than I thought.
  24. By pale orange, were you referring to Flame Yellowish Orange? I feel like either shade of orange would be too bright for Starfire, though.
  25. The Simpsons sold really well. S12 took a while to get rid of, and there are still locations that haven't put out S13 because of it. Looking at the Zombie Businessman's paper, I can see a zigzag sales graph, confirming his character. Not particularly spooky, though.
