nivremis replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Huzzuh! Thank you kind sir. Also OP, nice ship! Really liking the "busy-ness" of the deck without it being overly crowded :D- 25 replies

[ESL] The Knight of Stedor - 6 gun Cutter
nivremis replied to Maxim I's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I'm not overly familiar with ship terms, so just wondering why is this a 6 gun, not a 3? It technically holds 3 max, as you can't fill all 6 gun ports at one go? Thanks! -
Between having just moved (read: lego all packed up), work, and finishing up a postgrad in the next 2 months, life's busy, but I'd love to get on board with this. Just had a question regarding ships - Like many here I've never actually moc-ed a ship, was just wondering how historically and "engineering-ly" accurate we need to be, regarding things like sail to size ratio and all? Naturally I don't think anyone will end up building a 50 stud ship with a teeny sail, but also trying to avoid "oh that'll never actually sail" type things. Thanks!

BrickWarriors Dec 2015 - New Barbarian Pieces!
nivremis replied to Thrash's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
The genius that is me put in an order for the samurai pieces and completely forgot about this. That aside, just wondering something - will a fig be able to wear the wolf head and a beard at the same time (say the santa beard)? Thanks! -

Custom Minifigures on Kickstarter
nivremis replied to ED-209's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Hi Ed. Big fan of the elf decals you posted ages ago, and would definitely be looking to get on board with your kickstarter campaign. Just a question though (I'm not overly sure how kickstarter REALLY works). In the event you don't hit the target set, will you still be going ahead? I'm quite happy to do a pledge for a bunch of bespoke minifigs. Thanks! -
You lack leadership.

Set Advice? Joust, Raid, somethinge else or wait?
nivremis replied to Isundir's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Good that you've picked up the Joust, it's one of my favourite sets, looks great right out of the box on display. The mill raid is unique, but imho not worth the current asking prices. Someone mentioned Medieval market village - if you can get one, I would highly recommend it. Closest thing to a "UCS" type medieval set, fun build, and also looks really really nice. We don't get very many civilian castle sets, and the MMV is absolutely stunning. -
This is surreal. I've just been mucking around with the framework for a skeletal dragon, inspired by the titanium dragon set I built a few months ago. You're definitely more advanced than me at the moment though - loving your work. For the tail piece, have you though about using the one from the titanium dragon? Set number 70748. Has a blue tip though, so I don't know how that'll work for you. My own's currently on hold at the moment, thanks to RL stuff, but I'd love to see how yours progresses. All the best. Edit: Was just looking through your flickr - have never come across your stuff before, but that's some amazing builds right there.

Book II - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
nivremis replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Guilds of Historica
Haven't been active in AGES, but man things look like they're really moving along here. Hopefully will have some time to get into things again. Question though: Why's everyone building beacons? I think I *get* how the challengers and guerrilla thing works, but not too sure where this fits in. -
A question: Cliff / Mountain side with 1x2 bricks.
nivremis replied to nivremis's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Thank you kind sir. -
Hello. I'm pretty sure I've seen somewhere a build that had a rock face using bricks rather than slope pieces - looking for it again for inspiration but I can't seem to find it. Does anyone have any idea what I'm talking about, or a link to a moc with a rock face like that? Thanks in advance, much appreciated.

Thanks guys. 4 towers, and some spares. In hindsight should have run with 3 towers and just BL-ed the windows. Maybe, it's a Magical Place. Thanks guys, had heaps of fun building it. Don't, he doesn't have to get out there and risk getting hated on.. Cushy life.

Like many others, I thought the official Avengers Tower set was great as a playset, but looked a little lackluster on display, and went about Moc-ing my own. I've included some images here, hope you guys enjoy viewing it as much as I did building it. Overall shot: Tower Front by nivremis, on Flickr Other side: Tower Side by nivremis, on Flickr Open: Tower Open by nivremis, on Flickr Seven floors in total, I've included some interior shots here, but please feel free to go over to my Flickr account to see more.
