LEGO Star Wars 2013 Pictures and Rumors
General Magma replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I really like those Old Republic troopers. Gonna have to get lots of those along with Sith Troopers... -
New print? Both my Théoden and my Éomer fig had the redder prints on their legs when I bought the sets back in early July.

4 x Uruk Hai polys for trade!

Hmm... well, for example, what would you give for the small clown with green pants? Would that be enough for anything to you or do you need more stuff? -

Just a quick question - around what prices do you value these polybags? -
LOTR & The Hobbit 2013 Set Discussion
General Magma replied to CM4Sci's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I'm rather disappointed by this list, but I guess it's mostly because of the very unappealing, unofficial names. I want to see the Witch-king in a set with some Gondor/Pelennor sets - mixed Hobbit and LOTR sets? Not sure what to think of this. Hoping for separate waves.- 7,499 replies

No More Elrond Minifigures Available?!?
General Magma replied to Deathleech's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Damn. There won't be a future set that includes the fig... But I am willing to trade a Shadow ARF Trooper for it, if anyone's interested when he/she gets hold of it. I really wanted this figure and I was going to pre-order today or tomorrow, it really sucks to hear they're all gone now...- 146 replies

LEGO Star Wars 2013 Pictures and Rumors
General Magma replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Talk about overpriced... and then to consider the figure doesn't have any special elements in the first place. For LOTR it seemed more reasonable, but this? Come on... -
I hate how people in the UK could get these so cheaply only to end up selling them for ridiculous prices most of the time. I'm hoping for those polybags to be released worldwide as well.

Did anyone else here think that Legolas and Tauriel's legs could work great for custom Rohirrim soldiers?

I thought Bag End and the Goblin King Battle, but I could be wrong.- 7,499 replies

Do we even know the storyline of this theme in the first place? No, and if it sells well, they will surely try hard enough to think of something else. And otherwise, what could the next space theme be? Perhaps the revival of Blacktron we've been wanting to see?

If you meant the thing above the tree with the white stuff around it, that's Shelob.- 7,499 replies

Nope, the descriptions say otherwise and each different figure belongs to a set of the same insect-kind. There are some different types of aliens, and I assume that any other unspecified alien figure is different from the mosquito ones, since those are literally described as "alien mosquito" each time "Includes 2 minifigures with weapons: beetle insect-like alien" "Includes 2 minifigures and appropriate weapon: Solomon Blaze and alien mosquito" "Includes 3 minifigures and appropriate weapon: Billy Starbeam, robot henchman with Jetpack and alien mosquito with wings" "Includes 3 minifigures: Solomon Blaze, blue robot henchman and exclusive red insect alien" (I assume this would be a mantis) "Includes 3 minifigures: Chuck Stone Breaker, Green Robot and alien insect" "Includes 3 minifigures: Jack Fireblade, Ashlee StarStrider and alien insect with wings, weapons and cocoon" It wouldn't make any sense to have a mosquito alien in a beetle or scorpion vehicle .

Color squads... ah, I guessed that right, but that seemed kind of obvious somewhere. Anyways, 5 different Insectoids? Sounds great! The mosquitoes seem to be the main infantry though.

LOTR & The Hobbit 2013 Set Discussion
General Magma replied to CM4Sci's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
This is what I think I see when I look at that LOTR shelf: Balrog Orthanc Bag End Goblin King Battle Some kind of tree... I don't know what it is, maybe Lothlorien? Doesn't look like the Warg Attack set. Rivendell (with some trees) Something that could be Osgiliath, dunno what other kind of grey set it could be... And Shelob to the far left with Helm's Deep to the far right. Kez: I think that's something black hidden behind a white part of a set, not a dragon/Fell Beast.- 7,499 replies

LOTR & The Hobbit 2013 Set Discussion
General Magma replied to CM4Sci's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Y'know, I was thinking that a while back too. Perhaps that list is entirely made up out of what we think we saw with additional figures that would be likely for those sets, and Orthanc isn't the flagship set after all. I remember making an entire list of most possible LOTR sets in the "Future LOTR Sets" topic, and I figured Orthanc might be better as a $80 set. What if this is the case now? What if we will see something from Minas Tirith as a flagship set after all?- 7,499 replies

LOTR & The Hobbit 2013 Set Discussion
General Magma replied to CM4Sci's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Nope. The Balrog is seen around there as well. I don't really doubt this information, but it doesn't seem like it comes from an actual source. Distrust the list all you want but somewhere I feel that this could very well be part of the actual list, even if the minifigs are wrong. We all thought we saw Orthanc, Treebeard and the Balrog on that designer room image, so those 3 sets may have just been plucked out by that person and that may be the reason we've only heard of those 3 sets. Of course, they may end up having to push back a few of those sets but I think Orthanc will surely become a real set, I just hope it will have Gandalf the White, Saruman, Grima, some orcs and perhaps one or two other figs instead.- 7,499 replies

I remember the Uruk-hai Polybags being available in the UK today, and I also remember somebody saying he could help people outside of the UK getting those, but I don't remember who it was so I wondered if anyone else did - or is there anyone else doing that? I'm getting tired of us never getting any polybags and watching them being sold for all but heavily overpriced values. Buy a polybag for 50 pennies, sell it for 4 pounds... what?

Alien mosquito? Any chance we might see other types of Insectoids?

LOTR & The Hobbit 2013 Set Discussion
General Magma replied to CM4Sci's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Yep, eight of them. At least, eight of them have been rumored - but there will be new sets. My bad, forgot some details here.- 7,499 replies

Well, no worries then, looks like each set has a different color scheme for the squads.
-
"Galaxy Squad"... I remember this guy telling us that the human soldiers in this would have different colors rather than just one. What if each color belongs to one squad? I mean, it wouldn't be a squad anymore if you had 5000 troops of each color fending off Insectoids... And what if each squad will have some significant resemblances to older space themes?

LOTR & The Hobbit 2013 Set Discussion
General Magma replied to CM4Sci's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I've got a bit of a strange feeling about this list now, though. 5 orcs in Isengard with Saruman and ANOTHER Gandalf the Grey figure? They could've easily made the sets far more desirable by adding Grima Wormtongue, Gandalf the WHITE, Théoden with hair, Legolas with a cape, an Uruk-hai commander and some orcs, rather than Gandalf the Grey and 5 generic figures, giving us less of a chance of seeing Gandalf the White as a figure in this wave.. Why do we only know about 3 sets?- 7,499 replies

LOTR & The Hobbit 2013 Set Discussion
General Magma replied to CM4Sci's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Agreed, though I'm pretty sure that's the orc, indeed. I can foresee some useful new pieces for custom orcs... gonna need a few more of his head if it ends up being a good one for generic orcs, besides just Grishnakh himself (which is the stomped-on orc's name... I don't think knowing that makes one a "hardcore LOTR nerd", Gryphon, in the eyes of many, someone who has never read any of the books and found out about that name by checking a LOTR wiki might not even qualify... just sayin'.- 7,499 replies
