  1. No, it isn't. I was merely saying that some AFOLs have time for that, not that all of them do - I was not speaking for all AFOLs, so what I said is in no way a generalization, nor did I ever say anything about sitting in a chat all day. All I said was that some AFOLs have time to chat for a small chunk of the day, not that all of them do. Other than that, I can see your point, but I'm sure chat conversations don't have to last that long. A session of browsing a forum can easily be just as time consuming. It just depends on how you decide to spend that time based on what you can spend. The Bricklink chat from years ago was a fairly nice one, if anything, but with that one long gone, I'm not sure if any active AFOL chats can be found again.
  2. That is nothing but a generalization. If some AFOLs have the time to browse a forum for some hours a day, then surely some would have the time to jump into a chat for a small chunk of the day. If anything, it could be nice for quick advice or faster paced conversations.
  3. Still no responses? Does this type of chat really not exist at all?
  4. I'll be fine with the Bespin set as long as they add in an Ugnaught figure.
  5. I'm looking for some six shooters (revolvers) from BrickWarriors in steel color. I'd like to trade for them or buy them from somebody who's in Europe, because BrickWarriors has no resellers that I know of, and the estimated shipping costs for those few revolvers are a little too high for me. Let me know if you have any steel six shooters from BrickWarriors, or Wild West-compatible weapons from any other 3rd party vendor such as Brickarms. Post a comment here or FM me, either will do - I'm from The Netherlands. Thanks.
  6. Awesome, glad to see this project has made it. I would definitely love to have some of these! Dark brown, reddish brown, dark tan and black would be great colors to add. I would really like those, at least, though I don't know which ones you already have right now, but those would be useful for a plethora of different minifigures and aren't overly specific. Medium flesh (or whatever the color of the LEGO Tonto minifigure's arms may be) would be nice for Indians.
  7. Seemed like a good idea to me to also have a topic for purist (or semi-purist, so using 3rd party items like BrickWarriors sombreros) Wild West / Western figures. The figures can be based on anything, such as movies and games. Have you found a good solution to create a purist (or semi-purist) version of one of the characters from Red Dead Redemption? Post it here! Or perhaps you're looking for a way to make a certain character from a wild west movie or game - you might find ideas & solutions here! To kick it off, I've been trying to figure out a way to make a figure of Tuco from The Good, the Bad & the Ugly. What I had in mind for the head was Simon Masrani's head, from Jurassic World, which is the following: Right now, this seems to be the best official head for this purpose, though there may be others. It seems like the hair on minifig Simon's head would also be appropriate for Tuco. Thoughts on this and any alternate ideas or ideas for the rest of a Tuco figure would be welcome, and any ideas for other Western figures or ones you've already made would be most welcome, too!
  8. I think there is a chance of Cody being in Obi-Wan's starfighter. In many, though not all, previous iterations of Jedi Interceptors, as well as some Episode III sets, they included figures that seemed a little random though not unfiting within the movie. Kit Fisto in the hyperdrive booster ring with Obi-Wan's blue starfighter, Nute Gunray and a battle droid in Anakin's green Jedi Interceptor, and they also dropped Chancellor Palpatine into a Droid Tri-fighter set. So who knows what might be included this time around...
  9. It looks nice to me, it's just that it's overpriced, though, and I'm sure there are others who think the same, too.
  10. That would've been neat for a purist Ithorian back in the day, and still is for a brickbuilt version, but you do know there's an official Ithorian head now, right?
  11. Thank you! Very glad to hear that, the Star Wars aesthetic was what I was trying to capture, so it's great to hear I've succeeded in doing so.
  12. I'm pulling this topic back up, because I'm still looking for LOTR figures. Many of the existing LOTR figures and many of the ones from The Hobbit are welcome. Top priorities are Gandalf the White, Mouth of Sauron, fully armored Uruk-hai, Grima Wormtongue, Saruman (Orthanc), Gollum (Hobbit version), Gloin and Oin, and red coat Bilbo, but other than that, all of the listed ones are certainly welcome. I have a picture that contains some of my 'haves':
  13. Update: I've decided to take an extra picture to show the main MOC I used for this, which can now be found in the first post as well. Enjoy!
  14. Nicely done, looks very accurate.
  15. Thanks! Glad to hear that, I'm planning to do more Nal Hutta MOCs in the future.
  16. I'm sure everyone would've been happier with a zombified warrior of any kind... haven't seen a LEGO minifigure of that yet, while this one's just another zombified town or city figure. Oh well. Still pretty cool - the skater was one of my first CMF figures.
  17. This is very well done, great work. Certainly looks like something from the Star Wars universe.
  18. "Quabana City, one of the largest and most important cities on Nal Hutta, is a true paradise for bounty hunters, smugglers and scum of that ilk. It is ruled with an iron and undoubtedly heavy fist by Taboona the Hutt. His palace towers above all else in Quabana City, and can be seen from afar, leaving a Hutt-sized impression on those who manage to catch a glimpse of it..." On Flickr (Click link to enlarge) __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ This is the first Star Wars MOC I've built in a long time, made for my first actual Star Wars scene (which it also really is), featuring a part of Quabana City, a city I've created, and which will be featured in my upcoming (planned) story, set during the time of the Old Republic. It is also one of many more Star Wars scenes to come. All comments are welcome and appreciated, as always.
  19. I did read the first post, I'm just saying that he'd be better off Bricklinking the parts. He'd be way better off doing so. By buying sets, he will end up with a bunch of pieces he may not even want to have, and he'd be spending a lot more money - it would be far better to pick a Bricklink store and get some good pieces from there.
  20. You'd be better off just Bricklinking an assortment of landscape parts, really.
  21. Leading my volcanic creatures into battle, one brick at a time!

Wow, man you need to shorten that Signature. :P

  22. Aren't you a little short to be able to see my status?

  23. Wild West... Ancient Egypt... City Zoo theme... Space Police 4... Blacktron 3...
  24. Ah, I see it now. Well, in that case...
