  1. I hope they'll give the Rogue a new hood, preferably in black.
  2. They could've at least given us one Osgiliath set... it's hitting me more and more now that we will probably never see the LEGO LOTR theme again, and it is saddening to see it go like this. But I'm still holding onto hope for an IDEAS set. I don't understand how Doctor Who, Ghostbusters, Back to the Future and even that Big Bang Theory thing got approved, but LOTR, after several times of hitting 10.000 supporters, didn't. I hope a smaller LOTR IDEAS set will hit 10.000 supporters someday. I really hope there will be many more LOTR-themed sets hitting the 10.000 supporter mark. I think we should cook up an idea for a smaller IDEAS set with some iconic characters, make it look good and interesting, and toss it onto IDEAS and ask the whole of the LEGO community, especially the LOTR fans (of which there should be many), to support it. I don't know if it will be a success, and I don't know how many attempts it might take to convince LEGO, but it's worth a shot. It would be worth another few dozen shots.
  3. I think over a thousand, including all loose minifig parts that I'd be able to use to make full minifigs.
  4. These are really awesome, nice work! I like the second one best.
  5. I think they should've had the dwarves run from Smaug, realizing they wouldn't be able to take him on, with Smaug encountering Bilbo (skip the ridiculous battle scene) and going to Lake-town. Or, just have him go to Lake-town right after Bilbo runs from Smaug. I also say they should've let Bilbo be the one responsible for Smaug's death. Perhaps show Gandalf communicating with Eagles (in a certain way) on Carrock, with Bilbo watching, and then later on in the story, he kind of tries to replicate that to have a message sent to Lake-town by a thrush which he then calls upon. Or, if Radagast would still be in that version of The Hobbit, have Bilbo experience his communicating with birds. And then you can have him send the message (that ends up reaching Bard, eventually) and have it make sense. The thrush lands on the balcony of Bard's house, at the window through which you can see the Lonely Mountain. Bard comes to the thrush, looking a bit confused, and watches it lift up its wing, as it starts touching the location where Smaug's spot would be (on itself) using its beak, and then hopping into the direction of the Lonely Mountain, looking at it, followed by showing Bard seemingly understanding what it means, without any words spoken. I came up with this idea some time ago, and I think it would work to avoid having talking birds in it and to have Bilbo still play a large role in the death of Smaug, much like in the book. In the movies, Bard already knew the black arrow did hit Smaug and then, in the third film, he could supposedly see the spot from quite a distance, regardless of all the smoke cluttering up his view. Now if my idea had happened, it would've made much more sense for Bard to know where the spot was, and Bilbo would still have played a huge role in bringing down the dragon he helped unleash.
  6. I'm looking for a few ways to improve the official Ringwraith figures. Add gloves, metal boots, and potentially other things. I have some things in mind, but anyone who may have a couple of ideas - feel free to share them. And no, they don't have to be purist, preferably customized. Perhaps there's a cool way to have robes cover their entire bodies (except gloves and boots) or something. Anyone? Better yet, sell the rights on a contract, including agreements to largely stay true to the source material as well as going back to the way The Lord of the Rings was filmed, visually as well as, largely, the philosophy of adaptation that they had in mind there. Something like that...
  7. Certainly, but I just wish there would be a smaller LOTR set on 'Ideas' with some cool new figures and a build that isn't ridiculously huge. Perhaps it would then pass, for once. There have been numerous LOTR sets on 'Ideas', and they've all been turned down - hope for new LOTR sets may seem lost, but maybe each time a LOTR set reaches 10.000 supporters, the chances of it happening improves. Maybe not, but seriously, they're already releasing a huge Ghostbusters set, and I'm very sure that any LOTR Gondor set would be a much bigger hit. What's stopping them? LEGO even acknowledged that fans have been asking for LOTR sets for years when it finally happened, I think they know there doesn't have to be a new batch of movies or TV shows to make such sets a hit again. Then again, we should probably be blaming Warner Bros...
  8. In 'Star Wars Rebels', you see Aqualish guys walking around all the time, so I think they might wanna do that some time.
  9. Since the game is based on only one film, will it cover the entire movie instead of just key plot points like with the OT, PT and Complete Saga games?
  10. That entire figure looks awesome for historical-themed stuff, I haven't seen it before. Where does it come from?
  11. Depends on which part of the community. I'm not sure if you're going to find a lot of clone-fans on here. Tends to be a dominant part of the LSW community on YouTube and MOCpages rather than here. I'm pretty sure most people here want some Cloud City sets, and some actual OT stormtrooper battlepacks, with stormtroopers of the new (non-Rebels) kind, without dirt and stuff, or Tusken Raiders with Banthas and Jawas.
  12. Update: I need horse helmets, mostly for old horses - in metallic silver and metallic dark grey. I'm also looking for these parts, as many as possible of each: Might also be willing to trade some sets, mainly classic sets, some MISB and some not, if wanted. Otherwise, the minifigs I mentioned in the first post plus any others I might have - just ask.
  13. I second that, where can I buy these? They're really good.
  14. Awesome. He would be a very welcome addition to my collection! My orcs are waiting... Will you be selling the figures on Bricklink? (Would be great if I could make a reservation on one in advance!) On the topic of custom LOTR minifigures, I've recently started working on my own LOTR customs again, namely my orc army, but I'll also be making figures such as Faramir, Denethor, Eowyn, Gollum figures with alternate faces, and so on. For those who are interested, check out and keep an eye on the topic I've linked to at the bottom of this post. Here's my latest batch of orcs: Topic: http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=72967
  15. It has been a while, but hereby I present to you my latest batch of orcs! Orcs - Batch 17 The orc in the middle has a painted head, torso, armour piece and legs. The helmetless orc to the left of him has a custom painted head (which is a replica of the Star Wars Weequay head, but painted on a dark tan head instead of medium dark flesh) and painted legs. Enjoy! C&C is welcome as always. It's time for me to continue expanding my LOTR collection again. Stay tuned for more within the next few weeks...
  16. That looks really good. Did you sculpt the helmet and the armour yourself? I'd love to have a Sauron figure like that!
  17. Maybe the picture of the Slave I just has something to do with the upcoming Anthology film sets in general.
  18. I've been able to get replacement parts for sets that have been discontinued for a couple of years, so I think they'll be able to help you.
  19. These are awesome, well done. I especially like that Krusty head!
  20. Wait - so is Teedo of average height, or about as small as a Jawa? I just noticed the figure has normal legs, and Teedo in the picture doesn't look that small either.
  21. It seems that LEGO has forgotten the existence of the sand blue colour...
  22. Thanks for the link, Wesker. It seems that some of the Nexu Knights figures have fairly useful parts, as well: There aren't nearly enough torsos with orcish armour plating out there, and even a lesser amount of legs of a similar fashion.
  23. Oh yes, so much for a "chrome C-3PO"... And right now, the clone commanders are looking a bit meh-ish. From what I can see, at least. Skin colours are a bit too pale, and all three of them seem to be bald, even though Wolffe should still have hair on his head. Oh, and of course, they gave Tarkin a dark tan outfit. It's pretty annoying that they keep giving Imperial officers dark tan clothing when they appear in Rebels sets, because they've always had dark grey clothing, even in the Rebels TV show itself...
  24. Might be one of the most interesting minifig line-ups for an advent calendar yet.
  25. Oh, at least we're getting a good amount of Rogue One sets, then!
