BrickWarriors July 2015 - New Castle Pieces
General Magma replied to Thrash's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Well they did tell me they had designed some LOTR items, I'm just not sure if the plan to release them still exists. -
BrickWarriors July 2015 - New Castle Pieces
General Magma replied to Thrash's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Yeah, but I think there is a much higher demand for items for Gondorian soldiers (BrickWarriors could make accurate armour that resembles Gondorian armour and weapons from the LOTR films, and then call them 'Bullet Knights' or something ) as well as a Witch-king helmet, maybe even the flail and some new orc armoury. But Elvish and dwarvish armour would be great, too - only later on, perhaps. But I bet Gondorian items & a Witch-king helmet would sell like hotcakes. -
Yeah, but the difference shouldn't be too large when it comes to LEGO figures. But I guess it's mostly because I really like the X-Wing pilot minifig much better and would prefer to see them using those, maybe just swapping the black hands for white ones as the only difference, because you don't see much of a difference on the collars anyway. The X-Wing pilot even seems to be better packed and looks closer to having a jumpsuit than the actual snowspeeder pilot (minifig-wise), if you ask me.

What I don't understand is that they have the figure on the left for X-Wing pilots, which looks more recent and far more detailed but was released in 2014, while they use the figure on the right for snowspeeder pilots, which was released this year and doesn't look as good. Weren't the orange pilot suits all the same in the films, whether worn by an X-Wing pilot or a snowspeeder pilot?

Yeah, that is indeed what I meant. I'm just hoping to see it get closer to the $2 price mark, like the TIE Fighter pilot. You're late, unless you mean you've bought those sets, but if not, those pictures have been out for a while now. -

So with the recent variant of the OT stormtrooper coming with the advent calendar (previously available in the Star Destroyer & UCS Slave I), does anybody have a probably-accurate estimate for how much he'll end up costing on BrickLink, perhaps judging by minifigures that used to be exclusive to expensive sets only to be put into an advent calendar (or a cheaper set) later on? -

I don't think it looks nearly as bad as everyone is saying here... I guess the combination of those two helmets is putting people off, but at least it's reminiscent of and similar to something we've seen before. I kinda like it, and I'll probably warm up to it even more after seeing the movie. The only thing I'm not overly fond of is the lack of leg printing of any kind. It would've been nice to see a wrinkled-pants pattern or something like that. Oh well! -

Nice! But are you still going to do Lord of the Rings items? Gondorian helmets, tassets, sword, spear, shield and armour, orc helmets, Witch-king helmet, Rohirrim helmet, Easterling gear, etc... -
Since I'm getting closer and closer to starting this, and a decision about this has not fully been made yet, I would still like to hear from some more people what the preferred format, etc. would be for them. Check out the first post and let me know your opinions, it would be of great help for me when it comes to deciding what to go for, which I'm gonna have to do very soon. I've also been experimenting with scenes lately, namely on smaller scene with my Wild West MOC, "The Lone Chieftain", to test certain ways to create compositions (along with a certain atmosphere) and improving the overall quality of my scenes: For Star Wars scenes, I have several other things that I'd like to implement into those scenes as well.

WANTED] Many Different Star Wars Minifigs
General Magma replied to General Magma's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
As for Star Wars [Original Trilogy] minifigures, I now have a picture-list of wants. I might also want other OT figures, but these should be the main ones. -

What Lego-related thing did you do today?
General Magma replied to Savage Oppress's topic in Community
Received one of my five most recent BL orders today, including a bunch of olive green grass... Other than that, I've been sorting for almost the entirety of the rest of the day. Tiring, hoping to be done soon so I can finally build again. -

I wonder if he's going to be chrome gold... I sure do hope so. No idea what the Stormtrooper could be now, though - maybe a commander or something like that. -

I would much rather feel the bags and get the figures I want than spend a lot more money on all the figures just because a few people I'll probably never see again & whose opinions shouldn't bother me might look at me oddly... Let the one who has never "sinned" cast the first stone. For all you know, they might be the kind of people who cry when their football team loses.
