  1. This is fantastic!
  2. Thank you for all your hard work in the Shipyard Ratshot! Stay safe and pay us a visit now and then. :)

    Cheers!

  3. I have been working a bit again past weeks. Basically I have increased the strenth all over the ship, as it is built in three large sections which are completely modular themselves too. I have tweaked the bow a little to decrease the width of the forecastle deck so it's not a razee'd ship anymore but a proper 74. I have removed the fences on the gangboards and replaced them with wooden poles and ropes, which was commonly seen on French ships, in addition, the marine's walk at the bow has been removed as it's typical British and was rarely seen on French ships. And I have placed some basic clutter, like stairs, capstans and huge chests to fill it all up nicely. The full interior is yet to come though, but I want to finish the hull first. Here are some crappy pictures. I'm waiting for some tan plates and headlight bricks (grates ) to finish the bow properly. What do you think of the dark blue? The main capstan. In progress! One more update and I can start with the stern, after which I copy the current starboard hull to the larboard side. After that I can start to remove tiny flaws here and there, and the interior. And then the most beautiful part of all can begin. Thank you all for reading, and stay tuned! Cheers.
  4. Very short indeed, but it makes me curious about where they are working on.
  5. Please resize your pictures to 800x600 pixels max. as stated in the site guidelines. A link to helpful tutorials is in my signature. Already thanks!
  6. This is going to be awesome! Way too many ideas already, and lots of time on my hands. I'm really pumped to start immediately! Oh and DC, that throneroom is fantastic!
  7. The ground and my desk, but in most cases there's only space available for building on the ground as I've got the laptop on there playing music and to search for references (pictures, wiki's etc.) Such a bad feeling when you enter your room at night and you want to hit the bed, but you have to fight your way through the heaps of LEGO first. I'll post a picture sometime soon. And I've moved this to the Community forum.
  8. We've seen some amazing embassy entries fellow guildsmen! Great work all round and especially for our winner! The Avalonia Trading Company salutes you Rolli!
  9. This is fantastic! I love the swampy atmosphere and it's very detailed too. [bloggedcp][/bloggedcp] Soon!
  10. These are some really cool builds. It's pretty awesome to see how you integrated the classic pirate LEGO feeling into this. Nice stuff!
  11. Now that's a decent ship! It's awesome to see another minifig-scale ship on the forum! I wish you the best of luck during the build, it can be a very tedious process sometimes.
  12. The Avalonia Trading Company asks for permission to enter the archery tournament using this fine arrow: Just joking of course, but the A.T.C. is in! Our best archer will be shown soon.
  13. The Avalonia Trading Company will never abandon their fertile lands and prosporous colonies!
  14. This is a fantastic gatehouse! The tutor housing and the sloped wall are spectacular. I really like the detailed foliage too. Great work!
  15. During the construction of the warehouse and A.T.C. headquarters in Albion there is also a ship under construction. Based on one of the ships in this harbour: This is because the Avalonian fleet could use another ship to stand a chance against the other guilds, which rule the seas... But not for long! Avalonia needs strong and safe trade routes at sea! The A.T.C. is willing to build a trade cog and a powerful escort ship, even if it is only to blast these corsairs out of the water!
  16. Probably, but as they don't appear that often in new sets (or completely not, I'm not sure), and we all love the old ones then it's nostaliga. And of course a matter of good taste!
  17. That is awesome de Gothia! I love it! It has such a warm and welcoming feeling, something I always discover in your creations. Excellent. The technic piece at the flagpole is bothering me a bit though, you might want to change that. The rest is just superb! The amount detail is fantastic and so is your architecture style which you develop further with every new MOC. Good stuff!
  18. Polls can only be started once a member has reached the rank 'Knight' at 500 posts. I'll add one. ...and done! I've voted for the old ones, as I like the general shape of them but I with they came in other colours too. My own masts however are brickbuilt so I'm able to get the height, colours and platform placements correctly.
  19. These are some awesome creations Legonardo! The A.T.C. siege workshop is working again too...
  20. This is excellent, a crispy MOC, awesome pictures and a nice storyline to along with it. Awesome. My favorite aspect is the market street as it adds so much life to the embassy! I hope Carum enjoys his time!
  21. I have added some more pictures to the first post. Thanks! Yeah, I've gained some inspiration from Skyrim as I've adapted some architecture. The pictures are grainy indeed, I was in an extreme hurry as I didn't know if I had time today to submit my entry. And it would be a shame to fail the deadline. Thank you! I've fallen in love with dark green, and I'm glad it pays off. Thanks! I'm curious as well to see where other people come up with. There are some epic embassys already! I'm glad you like it! Thank you! I'm glad you see a homely and inviting embassy, that was exactly the feeling I was looking for! Thank you! The chandelier was something I came up with after the embassy was finished, and I'm glad I put it in there as it fills up that huge space nicely. Editing the pictures takes some time, but it makes the MOC look so much better. Thanks! I'm glad you like it. Thank you! I'm glad you like my embassy, and of course you may borrow the idea for those oil lamps!
  22. Veizlasalr Skógrhaukr In the Northern cold lands of Mitgardia, the Avalonia Trading Company established an embassy to provide shelter for travellers and merchants, and a place to negotiate for diplomats. Because of it's remote position, heavy fortifications weren't required. A wooden pallisade to keep the wolves out and a garrisson of A.T.C. soldiers to chase potential enemy forces off the hill on which the embassy is built. The embassy is built in ancient Mitgardian ruins, with traces of Avalonian architecture. Inside the hall there is a feast area with lots of Avalonian ale, mead and food. There are as well seperate places to discuss matters of importance. Feasting Hall of the Forest Hawks More pictures will be up tonight! Thanks for viewing. As promised, here they are. They haven't been edited though. The place for diplomats to discuss matters of importance. And a place to sit down after the hard negotiations. The feasting hall interior again. A.T.C. officer and musketeer. Notice the custom dark tan planks. A.T.C. halberdier patrolling the perimeter. Thou shalt not pass! A.T.C. halberdier guarding the entrance. The feasting hall again. And some men enjoying the feast.
  23. Stuff has been paid Admiral!
