  1. She has become a beauty. Fantastic work here! Those sails are gorgeous! As well for the rest of the rigging. Very nic work all round! The hull is incredible and it looks very smooth. I also really like the detailed stern and interior. Perhaps she will do better with just one lantern, but that's just personal taste. Job very well done, and expect it on the EB frontpage soon!
  2. It's Captain Blackmoor you scurvy dog. My entry is almost done, just waiting for some bricks to finish the rockwork!
  3. Le Formidable, my first ship and in total about 80 euro. Most orders were combined with bricks for other MOCs. Le Alceste, 20 euro as most of the bricks were already in my collection. Mostly basic bricks, the hull pieces and the dark tan plates were the most expensive. I already had the dark red bricks in my posession. Le Fourageux, between 800-1200 euro I guess, most orders were combined with castle bricks for other MOCs. That's about it. Note the Fourageux is not finished yet, and the Alceste needs small adjustments.
  4. You won't even know how close this is to my story! It involves a druid as well but without the creatures.
  5. Excellent. That is a fantastic lighthouse Walt. Very impressive! The lighthouse itself looks great, very realistic and accurate to the smallest detail. And then I don't even mention the surroundings, the beach, the wooden structures and the water are incredible. Fantastic. Job well done I'd say!
  6. I have overlooked the other thread. Ah well, a double portion of rum for everyone!
  7. Perhaps someone already noticed.. .. but our Pirate Regulator Big Cam, who's face must be familiar to all of you, has achieved a new, very prestigeous rank. After Zorro passed away, no one but him fulfilled this role. But from now on, Big Cam is our new Admiral! The Admiral position is in fact the Pirate Moderator role combined with the Classic-Pirates.com blog administrator role. That means he is both a Pirate Moderator, and the guy with the blog responsibility. With new powers there are new responsibilities, so a round of applause for Big Cam's achievement! Best of luck buddy!
  8. ...and hopefully someone else can resist stealing them!
  9. That's deadly, he's a thief, no murder. As far as I know.. Otherwise it could be a ruthless bastard ransacking the whole place for the chocolate, sparing no one. After all, it's Nocturnus who is behind the heist.
  10. Derailing Captain 100 keeps derailing. Sounds better. I have built several scenes as well, and one of them is quite enormous. I'm glad the deadline was extended to May 12, otherwise I probably had to withdraw. So many ideas...
  11. CAPTAIN 100, derailing topics ever since. My challenge three entry is almost done. The A.T.C. strikes again!
  12. Challenge accepted.
  13. This ship is marvellous! A very inspiring build! Your attention to detail and accuracy is fantastic. I love so many things about this vessel I can go on for ages. Fantastic work!
  14. So that is where al the rum comes from.. Excellent work on this one Horry, the building looks great and I love the attention to the smaller aspects. You've put some decent effort in here and it paid off. Very well done.
  15. An unique concept, and nicely executed. Nice job! The first thing I saw within the tavern was a stabbed body, not a very welcoming sight. I like the roof idea and the only remark I have is to add thicker poles underneath the tavern. It looks so fragile right now. The rest is splendid.
  16. I want one too! Nice work on the small vignette, the rockwork is really well done.
  17. Indeed. Please resize as soon as possible. Links to tutorials are in my signature. I'll give some decent feedback later, as there is simply so much to comment on.
  18. Welcome to the green side.

  19. Stormy water, the water reflects the grey sky above. It's true ingenious work here. You've outdone yourself once more SlyOwl! I'm also glad you are still alive. Now I should get back to drool over these pictures once more.
  20. Eurobricks member Walt and fellow darkdragon have been selected to reinforce the Classic-Pirates.com blogging team! Soon their articles about your creations along with a lot of other news will appear on the Classic-Pirates.com frontpage! And in the meantime they have the opportunity to drink as much rum as they like. We have selected two candidates and the selecting process was a hard one. The Classic-Pirates.com staff thanks everyone for their submission! For those who haven't been picked, keep your eyes on the horizon because who knows another chance will be sailing by sooner or later! Cheers! And a round of applause for our new crewmembers Walt and darkdragon!
  21. Obtaining these weird curves with square-ish bricks is the greatest challenge for a ship builder. Especially the curves in the bow and stern, you can´t bend plastic bricks like wooden beams and planks.
  22. Jumper plates and the bending technique work quite well to solve this issue quite easily. It's still quite vertical, but it shows a small curve as well. Your ship is looking great and it's awesome to see the project back in action. Keep it up!
  23. Ringleheim, that was an outstanding comment. While this is not my topic I've gained some valuable information and indirect feedback as I'm constructing a ship as well. Thanks! It's great to see another member with an outstanding knowledge about ships. So to you as well, keep up the good work!
  24. A fantastic job done here. Good luck in the challenge!
