The good thing is you've started with the bow, I consider that as the hardest part to build. Once that step has been taken, the rest is easy as a pie. Except for some stern aspects and the rigging. I would also consider the height of your ship, she looks rather high if you ask me. In the end it might turn out too narrow and too high. But I don't know how much realism you want to put in this project. The colours look great already, and I'm curious about the final result. Keep it up!

Literally Reporting for duty Volcanicpanik. Keep them coming guys. -
A link to a tutorial about how to resize pictures is in my signature. I'd suggest you to download Irfanview, I believe there is more about it explained in the tutorials. But resize them soon, otherwise I have to remove your pictures. Already thanks and I hope it helps.

Just an idea to make things kind of more interesting...
Captain Blackmoor replied to Yawgmoth's topic in LEGO Pirates
I'm impressed by the amounts of ideas posted here. I'll follow this closely, but don't drive off! Organizing stuff has to be discussed with the staff first. But keep these awesome ideas coming! -
Is that all you have to say about this huge, magnificient, impressive, mind-blowing vessel? You have outdone yourself Sebeus, fantastic work all round! From the details to the shapes, it's all top-notch. When you started with this ship I was hoping you knew what kind of challenge it would become, and you've pulled it off in a most impressive way. Congratulations! And oh, look at that wonderful tag of yours!

The A.T.C. tries to participate in the 3rd challenge, but time is short and the brick supply is nearly empty too. I'm also building for Albion and some other free builds. So many things to do.. -

Commodore Hornbricker, back from Davy Jones' locker! I agree, ToRIII would kick megablocks. We'll see how things unfold, but the staff has to focus on other things first! -
How many ships do you have in your fleet?
Captain Blackmoor replied to Piranha's topic in LEGO Pirates
2 Armada Flagships and 2 Redbeard Runners from the good old days. And a 10 gun sloop, the Alceste, covered in dust though. On top of that an empty hull which was once the Formidable, I'm waiting for some time to rebuilt her. And of course my flagship, Le Fourageux. Still not finished. -

As far I'm aware we might have the Tournament of Retribution III sometime again too. And indeed, we're not going to introduce "Guilds" in the Pirates Forum next to the Guilds of Historica. But keep the ideas coming! -
I love the effect you've achieved with the roof, a brilliant technique! A fantastic addition to our guild!

Poor Murdock. A great vignette, it will scare potential thiefs for sure! Nice addition to our guild!

One more post like this and I'm afraid we have to talk. This is already the third time I see you posting with this attitude in this thread, and we don't like it! Please keep this in mind. -

Aw my god. That is probably the best I've seen this year! I can't wait to gaze upon all the details and sculpturing! Brilliant, simply brilliant! The Avalonia Trading Company has revised the building plans for the Trading Hall in Albion. The front will look like this: Link -
What date (time period) do you set your pirates in?
Captain Blackmoor replied to Captainmorgan's topic in LEGO Pirates
Me not really either in fact, but I did some research to find out the proper coloursheme for my ships, as well for the uniforms, flags and decoration style. These things changed a lot during the age of sail. -
A very nice vignette you've got there! I love the colourful foliage, and I don't trust that bird!

What date (time period) do you set your pirates in?
Captain Blackmoor replied to Captainmorgan's topic in LEGO Pirates
I set the date around 1750-1800, the time of large ships of the line and devestating sea battles. Napoleon and post French Revolution, that kind of stuff. In the guilds of Historica I set the date to the late middle ages, 1500-1600, which has links with the beginnings of the age of sail. Interesting topic! -
...and in the meantime I just move this to the MOC-forum.
-
As Admiral Croissant already pointed out, you really have to resize these pictures to a maximum of 800x600. A link to a tutorial about resizing is in my signature. Resize them soon or I have to remove the pictures at some point, which would be a shame as this ship is a beauty. Already thanks!

Captain Blackmoor replied to Schiffty's topic in Pirate MOCs
And now there is nothing there. Please fix it up soon, otherwise I'll have to lock this topic. -
Indeed, not where this forum is intended for.
-
I have absolutely no idea where you are heading to with this topic? As there is nothing to comment on I'll lock this up.

It says "LEGO ship shipwrecked in museum Sneek" (a city)
-
Of course we appreciate your compliment, but leave the swearing out of it next time. Already thanks.

An awesome creation, great technique for the wave! The banana tree looks great too. I see it's already being blogged, so there you go!
