Antyria is already claimed Captain Beerbeard. Just a bit smaller then the area you've claimed though. -
MOC: Warship of the Werewolves
Captain Blackmoor replied to Hersbrucker's topic in Guilds of Historica
"Now we can trade with other guilds.." Not with the Avalonia Trading Company if you dare to plunder our trade ships again! The ship is lovely though, I really like the ram at the bow and the treasure on board. My only suggestion is to use some rope to go along with the sails. -
Whoa! That is impressive ISC! I'd rather don't want to get lost in that huge maze, while some evil mage is watching your struggle. I love the details on all the walls, nice colours and amount of foliage. The tower is epic too! Fantastic build ISC!

Avalonia Guild: Homepage, Sign-up and Discussion

Antyria is the land where the A.T.C. will establish the main office of administration, and the rest of the fertile land will be occupied with production buildings like grain farms and lumber mills. We will also try to create a harbour to use the river as a trade route as well. With all the wood present in this area that shouldn't be a problem. At least, if the Avalonia Trading Company gets permission to build on this land, that is. The reason to pick this land is because there is already an A.T.C. watchtower here. -
Avalonian Farm of Mesodraconem
Captain Blackmoor replied to ZCerberus's topic in Guilds of Historica
Fantastic Zcerberus! Truely stunning! All these beautiful small things which make the main object look so nice. Awesome. I just noticed the fence at the left, it looks so real! A very nice farm for the lands of Avalonia. The Avalonia Trading Comapny can't wait to buy some fresh farmland goods from you! -
Yup. I've never seen a bee farm in LEGO, and this is a fantastic build! I just don't know what I like so much about bee farms, I guess it's the honey. The Avalonia Trading Company will welcome you and your wares with open arms!

I was already wondering what all the Celtic names and words were doing in there. The next MOC should be up soon, but perhaps I can manage to create a village to go along with it as well. At least we've got the names already. -
That is fantastic! Very detailed, and most important, very useful to aid Avalonia in battle!
-
Holy smokes! That is awesome. Those spiders are really cool too! And overall I just like the size of that.. thing. Though I doubt such a machine will get far in the lands of Avalonia, with all the forests and rocks..

Evolution of St. Martin's Church
Captain Blackmoor replied to thire5's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
You will earn yourself a tag sometime soon! What an excellent evolution process, splendid! Especially the future stage is very well done. I just can't believe you dared to demolish the church for this cause. Job very well done! -
Avalonia Trading Company Watchtower
Captain Blackmoor replied to Captain Blackmoor's topic in Guilds of Historica
The Avalonia Trading Company thanks you all for the fantastic feedback. Thank you de Gothia! It was great fun to build it too, something different is always cool to try. My other MOC is nearly done, but pictures will be here over a week or so, as I'm out of town then. Awesome! Thank you rucorder! Thanks Hersbrucker! Unusual connections indeed, I had a hard time to built it according to the plan I had. Three ATC soldiers. One wears this torso: In my opinion a typical tradesman torso. Despite the fact indeed it's in the Midgardian colours, I wish the torso was there in dark green as well! And thank you kabel for your kind words. I have put a lot of effort in there indeed, I'm glad it turned out very well! Thank you very much BC! I'm not the best photographer all round, but the image on my computer appears sharper and less grainy before uploading to an external gallery. But indeed, LEGO is very hard to capture! I'm glad to see you like my tower as well, it's indeed something different. ATC is one of the wealthiest companies of Avalonia, we just spend it wisely. The cannon position is based on my imagination. Though the cannon should be functional (rotating, adjusting firing range etc) I really wanted these mechanisms as crude as possible. Now we have chains and wooden gears all round. Thanks maydayartist! Indeed, my roots are visible here now and then. I'm pretty proud of my wall, as it's in fact such a simple concept. Mixing old looking colours, leaving gaps, stick foliage to it.. I'm glad you like it! Thank you Captain BeerBeard! Thank you DC! I'm glad you like it. And yes, you will see more of the Company soon enough! After I've spend a week in Wales. The Avalonia Trading Company goes on a business trip! Again, thank you very much. Thank you Ecclesiastes! -

A fantastic army de Gothia! Now who dares to mess with Avalonia? Captain Beerbeard, your creation is truely stunning as well! Meanwhile, I have completed my watchtower. -
The Avalonia Trading Company proudly presents you the ancient watchtower! Despite the fact it is over a hundred years old, it holds an important strategic position near the river and the most important trade route. In these hard times it is important for the ATC to maintain safety on the trade routes. We discovered this old watchtower, and according to the descriptions we had this watchtower was erected in the first era. As this watchtower already stands for ages, there was no need to build a brand new one. Instead we've restored this place to his former glory, including something fearsome! This tower might not be the strongest regarding masonry and sturdiness, but its defence weapon destroys all siege equipment on sight in one blow. Thanks to the master forgers of Avalonia, the Avalonia Trading Company has managed to install a cannon in the tower instead of the catapult which had been there before. I have no idea what Flickr did to the pictures, but the quality became downright terrible. The top floor once had a roof, but now it is an excellent lookout post! The interior of the main floor, its in fact a large storeroom with an armory and supplies. Wooden beams replace the stone staircase for the time being. One of the six cannon gates, the cannon can rotate to fire 360 degrees. The shooting range can be adjusted as well by aiming the cannon higher. The cannon room, with three ATC soldiers. Two to operate the cannon, and the tower commander. By rotating the large wheel you rotate the cannon towards another cannon gate. The Eastern wall. I haven't included too much foliage, as those plants are being used in another, upcoming Avalonia MOC. And the West wall. From now on, enemies will think twice before endangering their lifes on the Avalonian trade routes! Cheers to my fellow guildsmen and allies! The other Avalonia Trading Company building should be up soon. It's big. For Avalonia!

I like the use of the doors, it looks neat! The ram is built in a smart way, which makes it extra cool. The soldier doesn't look quite armored to participate in a siege though, and I hope he's not the only one who has to operate the ram.

I have no idea, but as this is about the middle ages (about the years 1000-1500) I think guns should defenitely be in here as they marked the beginning of the end of this fantastic age. The Avalonia Trading Company has a small ammount of soldiers carrying fuse barrel guns. The ATC also discovered hidden secrets about cannons and we have forged one ourselves. Primitive, but decent, and defenitely something to not rely on in battle. As we have to improve these brand-new techniques first. The Avalonia Trading Company has built a watchtower featuring this fearsome cannon. -
[MOC] Avalonian Orc Watch Tower
Captain Blackmoor replied to Lordofdragonss's topic in Guilds of Historica
Awesome tower you've got there fellow guildsman! Our foes are probably dead before they have spotted the tower surrounded by forest. I'm glad to see the Orcs maintain a small scale trading activity! -

Captain Blackmoor replied to Si-MOCs's topic in Guilds of Historica
The Avalonia Trading Company looks forward to strenghten our trade agreements! To exchange even more goods, maintain the safety on land and sea traderoutes, to increase our both Guild's wealth. We love it to see the economy is flourishing again! -

Captain Blackmoor replied to Derfel Cadarn's topic in Guilds of Historica
My watchtower has a cannon, and some of my men have long fuse rifles. The Avalonia Trading Company is able to import various goods from lands unknown. These goods include also gunpowder. Yet the gunpowder is not to be trusted, accidents happen regulary. The powder simply doesn't work or it explodes with far too much power. Therefore the Avalonia Trading Company garisson is still armed with swords and axes as well... 14-15th century for me. It was the age when gunpowder was imported into Europe. Yet the munition was made from stone. -
Avalonia River Run Watchtower of Mesodraconem
Captain Blackmoor replied to ZCerberus's topic in Guilds of Historica
That is fantastic Zcerberus! A fearsome watchtower with some epic details, the masonry, the window and the wooden roofing at the top. I really like the amount of detail you've poured in here, I see all kinds of awesome things when I take a closer look. Epic build Zcerberus! I'm sure you can keep an eye on the trade routes as well with that spyglass! -

The Avalonia Trading Company approves your new regulations! The ATC army gladly assists the Elite Corps in maintaining the safety on our trade routes. My lord Derfel Cardarn, that is a lovely watchtower you've built there. It feels relieving the trade connections in the village are safe once again! The Avalonia Trading Company was already planning on building a brand new tower there, we would gladly present you a special gift as a token of our friendship and gratitude. Please accept this exotic gem! This flawless topaz comes all the way from the lands of Kaliphlin my lord. We have discovered an ancient abandoned watchtower, on a very strategic position near one of the trade routes. At this moment my men are working on the secret weapon which will be placed in the tower. All what I can say is the weapon came from the area what is now called Kaliphlin. It was crafted by skilled blacksmiths and melters ages ago, using ores and other materials from the lands we still don't know... Pictures should be up today or tomorrow. -
MOC - The Mightiest Tower in Mitgardia
Captain Blackmoor replied to On Stranger Tides's topic in Guilds of Historica
That is an epic landmark of a tower! A fantastic build! Despite the fact we do not know with what purpose the watchtower is so close to the Avalonian border, it is used in the merchant maps so they can travel to the North more easy! And as long as the watchtower is just standing there, there is no need to grab the weapons. Although we are on our guard and the Avalonian Trading Company will make sure the trade routes, even there, remain safe. -
Indeed it is! Avalonia has the best farmland products and they are very valuable on the markets! It's a nice farm you've got there, lovely details all round!
-
That is a cool update! My only suggestion is to add more blue to the front, and I'm not quite sure about the window located there. This ship model here roughly explains what I mean, but it's also because I like a lot of blue in the front myself.

Nocturnus Guild: Homepage, Sign-up and Discussion
Captain Blackmoor replied to I Scream Clone's topic in Guilds of Historica
I'll send Nocturnus my first and last offer. The Avalonian Trading Company wishes to trade. You will trade infamous enchanted gemstones, magic scrolls, and magic potions, in exchange you will receive fresh vegetables, livestock and construction materials such as lumber (from Midgard Pine trees) and luxury food. We will not trade high quality weapons or armour to you as we don't trust Nocturnia yet. Burning down valuable trees, not to forget about these spies! If the Nocturnus guild declines, you will be on your own. No goods will be shipped towards Nocturnia at all. And don't forget, Nocturnia can't farm anything of good quality from the burned ground! Cheers to all, perhaps you might get rich on some day! -
Avalonian Watchtower for the West Region
Captain Blackmoor replied to maydayartist's topic in Guilds of Historica
Now let's hope these archers aren't afraid of incredible height.. Nice update, from that tall tree you can see more then the most watchtowers presented until now! But they can see your tree as well!
