SONE (free build) Imperial Tie flight sim time!
Sebeus I replied to Fuppylodders's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
I love it, I don't think I ever saw a Tie Fighter simulator, nice little story as well. There are some rough edges on the moc yes but the main design works well, good use of shock absorbers. -
Thanks a lot, the real reason my trooper hasn't been briefed yet is because I don't know yet what the next thing is. I do intend to combine all of my future SNE mocs into one consistent story This freebuild serves as an introduction of my character, my next mocs will contain more action, fieldwork . Just incase, don't worry about that Sith Acolyte, he's not playing a major role in the story, not in my story atleast, he might as well dissapear in the next build. Seeing a Sith Acolyte up close is kind of an experience for my trooper (considering we all start with 0 XP I assumed we are new recruits).

Great crew, are you going to pose them on the ship? or just place them in front of it for display?

Nice, good thinking to use a heat seeker. -

On reflection I rather use my own picture instead of the generic stormtrooper, if it's not too much trouble . -

Ready for combat, already left for the next mission by the way . free build -
That's me, I'm ready for action! My squadron is dispatched to I-don't-know-where... we haven't been briefed yet. I'm not nervous because of that though, one time we have even been dropped somewhere without briefing at all... However, this time we are accompanied by a Sith Acolyte, this is the first time I see one up close. I don't know much about them but I do know that the Empire doesn't send them out for an average riot... He hasn't spoken a word, he hasn't moved much either since we took off. A scary character, I heard stories, they can cut a trooper in half with their weapon. Perhaps that's why no one of my squadron bothers to communicate with him in the first place... (Next) - - - - I hope you like it, my first free build for Shadows of Nar Eurbrikka, The Imperial Sith Acolyte is a character I saw in the Game 'The Force Unleashed', they have limited Force abilities and use a light(saber)staff as their primary weapon. As far as I know they're also known as Royal Guards. Prior to playing the game I never realized that their spears are actually lightsabers. Now I'll need to get myself some stormtroopers and rebels, I only have a few minifigures from the original trilogy, the clonewars is much better represented in my collection.

Very nice, I think it's a bit over-armed, a ship-of-the-line indeed has many cannons but you placed them a bit close next to each other, personally I think three studs between gun ports is a minimum. Anyway, It does look good, I love the sails, booms and rigging, they must have taken a lot of work. It makes me happy to see that you only used half of the hull piece for the stern, a great call. Keep it up!

Signing up for the Empire as a stormtrooper The generic picture is good for now, do I get this right that; when I raise in rank I get the opportunity to provide a new picture? Oh and is a scout trooper equivalent to a stormtrooper? -
"You're still playing with lego?"

It's awesome, I like the giant squid and seeing King Kahuka crowd-surfing . Technically it's a great stop-motion as well.

The wheel can sometimes be stuck very firmly, I once had trouble to get it out of a technic brick, imvanya has the right Idea, try to push it out with a cross axle.
-
Yes, that looks a lot better than your first attempt, a well balanced broadside and more realistic shape. Some windows on the stern itself would be nice, keep it up.

I have building instructions for this ship: But you may want something bigger... if interested, here's the lxf file The easiest way to make a costum hull is sculpturing one with basic bricks.

Thanks, it was my goal to make a submarine superior to the official ones but it's not entirely succesfull, the Aquanaut Explorer Sub is still considerably bigger. So I might make it a bit longer, I'm not so happy with the mid section anyway .
-
A new aquanaut submarine, I tried to stick to the typical style of the aquanaut theme. Explorer sub along with the Corvette (posted last month). The cockpit: A bit cramped but it works. An interior shot: I hope you like it, more pictures can be found at my Brickshelf Folder. Or check out my other submarine .

Thanks, here's the Cuusoo link for the Shark submarine but I think my other submarine has more potential to become a real set.- 23 replies

I made the prototype for these cars quite some time ago but I recently updated them with some more appropriate part usage (small changes to the design and new wheels and/or grills). They may look alike but besides the color there are more ways in which they are different. So far the most obvious flaw IMO are the studs on the tail (which is not the case on the black one but that onde doesn't really look better). Anyway, more pictures in my Brickshelf Folder, as well as building instructions

I think it's a great Idea, I loved the Rock Raiders theme but there are way too few mocs in the genre. -
Very nice, I love them all but particulary the hippy van, looks a lot better than mine (which you may have seen last year ago at Brickmania Wetteren).

I wouldn't suggest white for the weather deck (the decks exposed to the weather, so in your case that the gundeck as it is not covered). However I don't know much about the historical side, only that they used white to detect gunpowder more easely (in order to prevent fire) but it seems to me that on a windy weather deck it would be quite useless. Maybe they didn't paint the top decks at all, so gray, (dark) tan would do well I think.

The canopy combo works great, I don't think the 6x6 dishes exist in transparant color in real, or do they?

I tend to believe the AFOL community is very divers but I do think pbat's comment makes a lot of sense.
