I'm pleased you found the quote, I was about to dig that out. I will concede that the film portrays things differently, as the wild wolves in the Hobbit were semi-intelligent (only slightly less than the goblins riding them). This didn't play a part in LOTR, and for the films, Wargs are displayed as simply a breed of large, rideable wolf. Hence, I would imagine that they and the orcs in the film will be one army. I would imagine that the eagles will be the fifth army, but I would much prefer it if the bats were the fifth. As a side note, the eagles are Manwe s (the head of the Valar) creatures, and the Valar have a non-interference policy with Sauron etc. but the eagles do like to get involved, and they're definitely on the side of good, simply they're quite aloof and disdainful creatures (being one of the few races that have not fallen prey to Morgoth/Sauron).

All the poor female AFOLs that are going to miss out on this. I'm not sure what to make of this really.

Tauriel has a hood when she head off after the Dwarves- the point where Legolas catches up to her has a rear shot of them, clearly showing the hood.

That's a nice house! Lots of details for something so small. Reminds me a bit of the Imperial architecture in ElderScrolls: Morrowind. Great scene overall! (And again, I like the yellow arms!)!

That's a good point. I don't want to pigeonhole races into certain guilds. (I'd love to see a whole group of Avalonian werewolves now. That would be cool!). I definitely think that we need to emphasise the breadth of races in Historica- it would be good to see more variety in terms of races with sig-figs (I know there is some, but humans and elves seem to outnumber all the rest, not that that's a bad thing!). Perhaps not necessarily with your main guy, but in your cast of supporting characters/army etc.

Exactly what I was thinking. My main point is, we haven't assigned certain human factions (eg. Black Falcons, Crownies, etc) as being specific to a certain guild, but some certainly crop up in guilds more frequently. I envisage a similar thing with races!

I reckon it would be worth approaching this so that we didn't pigeonhole certain races in certain guilds. Some might be more likely to turn up in some guilds, but it shouldn't preclude them from others. The Chima Eagles in Avalonia could quite easily be descendants of the ones in the Nestlands clans. Perhaps a listing of rarity within each guild- for example, orcs are common in Nocty, but less common in the other guilds? Or Forest elves are common in Avalonia, but rare in Nocturnus?

@Mr Erikku the best thing to do is start with some freebuilds- for example, expand your sig figs backstory, build part of your town/city, etc. There will be a new challenge (set in Avalonia) soon. Take time to peruse some of the MOCs by other members to see what they've been up to, and the sort of things they build to give inspiration. @the Architect I'm not entirely sure the civil war "ends" we're heading back to Nocturnus after we've done the rest of the guilds, so I'd imagine that the civil war will continue. The challenge hasn't had any results yet, I'm guessing the guild leaders are in deliberations right now.

Gandalf is immortal. He's one of the spirits that existed before, and helped with, the creation of Arda (the place where Middle Earth is), and is a Maia, the same as Sauron was. Gandalf also wields one of the Three Rings, gifted to him by Cirdan of the Grey Havens. He's not allowed to directly confront Sauron with his power (since the arrest of Morgoth and the Fall of Numenor, Valinor doesn't directly interfere with the affairs of Arda). Neither does Gandalf technically die, he returns to the Halls of Mandos in Valinor, having exhausted his physical body, and is sent back by the Valar with a new body and the allowance to use more power. Galadriel is just an elf, admittedly pretty powerful. I hope she doesn't wear armour, I hope she's done like her "Dark Lady" aspect in LOTR. She never wears armour (at least it's not mentioned, I suppose she could have at some point in the First Age).
