Does anyone have a good round tower tutorial?
Lord Vladivus replied to Tomsche's topic in Guilds of Historica
http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=60907 That guide is pretty good (well, excellent) for a variety of medieval building techniques. Sorry if the link doesn't work- stupid iPad and it's lack of flash. If not, the guide is in the pinned historic themes guides and indices- Derfels Guide to building a medieval village. -

That looks good to me Z! Would we be able to do multiple builds for each category? -

Book II - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Lord Vladivus replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Guilds of Historica
Awwwww. Kaliphlin and Mitgardia arguing which is the second best guild, and third best guild? I'm sorry but Nocturnus IS THE BEST! I'm going to try to get my own boat builds in for Nocty. Never tried a boat myself. -
Obviously, the best guild is Nocturnus. But having said that, Avalonia is pretty good if you've got the right bricks- plus they've got community builds going.

Warlords sounds cool, but I'd like to hear more from LD before I commit. I'd be in favour of having maybe the city and landscape builds as continuous community builds- I.e. No set end. By having both you'd give more traditional castle builders something attractive (the city), whilst the landscapes could be a different thing. Ideally I'd run all three! or would that make it too complicated? -
AoM tower Phase lV - Still in the cold North

Looks good, I like the supports for the tower top! -
Damn, that's one awesome idea! Great work dude!

That's it. "The" is the most common printed word. It's mad to think, as it's such an innocuous word really, and not one you think about saying (assuming English is your native tongue I suppose). Edit: Oxford Dictionary did a study on it.

Book II - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Lord Vladivus replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Guilds of Historica
I'd already started to build when I saw this, so I altered what I was doing slightly. I've got part of the wall, plus a ruined house, both of which are being worked on by citizens. I would've included a whole house, but sadly I don't have enough bricks in the right colours to do it justice. Once I've finished, I'll shoot you a pm to check you're happy! -
Great build! I love the western influences. Nice use of the colour blocks too!

Missed this! I'd be more inclined towards Stoneroda- how ruined is it, or is it conceivable that it's been slightly rebuilt as a small garrison town? http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=63195&st=0&p=1137109&fromsearch=1entry1137109 There's the topic- sorry I'm on my iPad, so no links at the moment, but that's the Travellers Guide to Mitgardia from way back in book 1. -
Book II - Nocturnus: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Lord Vladivus replied to ZCerberus's topic in Guilds of Historica
This sounds good. Allow for flexibility with sizes though? And perhaps after you've completed X number of Stage 3 builds, you get a "Beastmaster" title? Depending on the number of categories we could have a second "Beastlord" title if you complete it all? -

Yes, that sounds awesome! Now we need to see what Z says, and iron out the final details! -
Book II - Nocturnus: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Lord Vladivus replied to ZCerberus's topic in Guilds of Historica
@Torgar, you sir, seem to have the part of my brain that isn't working! I like that idea. Would we define the geographical areas or keep it more open? Defining them would be best for titles, like "Swamp Master", but some people might think of some super cool environments that we don't think of? -
Book II - Nocturnus: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Lord Vladivus replied to ZCerberus's topic in Guilds of Historica
@Torgar This is true- I must admit, the fact you get titles seems to keep those Mitgardians churning out all of those builds. As an example, maybe a "Hunting" one, where you depict a character hunting a suitably nasty and vicious beastie? Said beastie should be Nocturnian rather than simply a deer or the like- dragons, giant wyrms and spiders, and more exotic ones like demons, elemental creatures, and the like? Like I said just an example, it's difficult, I'm finding it hard not to come back to the original AoM categories and ideas! -
Uh oh, that ring's going to be the end of him!
