LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors
Lord Vladivus replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I must admit, I'm not in the camp that's going to clamour for lots of obscure characters. At the end of the day, I never thought I'd see Bith in physical Lego form, so I'm happy. Is there any word on the if the Bith are getting individual instruments or instruments full stop? -
Book II - Nocturnus: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Lord Vladivus replied to ZCerberus's topic in Guilds of Historica
"Even if this unthinkable and heinous act comes to pass, I shall never accept it. Shadowmere will secede. All Nocturnus loyalists will be welcome. You cannot win. The Black Spire will fall, even if I have to topple it with my bare hands. Mark my words traitor, for they may be the last you hear before you die. And don't think for a moment death will be a release- it will avail you not, for you will become yet another foot soldier in my army. FOR NOCTURNUS!" I can't give you any more till the challenge in Avalonia is over. Spoilers! ;) I am curious as to how it will all play out- if either side wins, will the other side play as an antagonistic entity, similar to Angeli's Drow in Book 1? I for one, see Vladivus as a staunch Nocturnian loyalist, and I don't see him accepting Ravaages rule, especially after the Black Spire's actions against him. Nocturnian in exile perhaps? Hmmm food for thought. I haven't really planned that out. Eh, we've got till the last challenge in Book 2 I suppose, when we return to Nocty again. -
Wait, I'm sat here looking at my Mirkwood spiders and they definitely have 8 legs.

Ah great to see this with the interior. Did you change the railings on the top? Great story!

There's also the cave troll and goblin king, both for one off sets. I'd hope that lego would produce a new mold for Smaug- the current dragon just doesn't do him justice. Sadly, I can also see Lego just reusing that mold.

I for one don't watch any video reviews- I find them too hard to get on with. I much prefer pictures (I'm more of a MOCer so I'm not to bothered about play function in sets, more the parts and minifigs). Pictorial reviews are often better thought out and written (note it's easier to edit something you're writing as you're going on, instead of something that you're filming).

Awesome news. Looking forward to the Lonely Mountain set, and the Witch King set. Looks like a pretty good wave.

Book II - Nocturnus: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Lord Vladivus replied to ZCerberus's topic in Guilds of Historica
"Hail and well met Podkar. I extend the hand of friendship (such as it is in these dark times), and bid thee watch out for the treacherous Black Spire renegades." Welcome bgalakazam, great to see the best guild getting more members! Looking forward to your camp! -

LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors
Lord Vladivus replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
If it follows the way they did Santa Fett/Jango Claus, then we'll get a red torso/legs and cape, with a festive version of Vaders printing, and a regular black helmet. I'd rather have Vader than Jango as Santa, so I'm pleased. Would've been nice to have a "good" character such as Obi-Wan though. Dewback in olive green sounds better than in sand green. -

Definitely, we always like to see new members! Just pick a guild, introduce your sig-fig and you're away. We've just finished the first challenge, but there will be a second one soon. In the meantime, freebuilds are welcome!

Sneaky Kaliphlins, trying to steal other guilds members. You guys aren't going to beat our enchanted pumpkin pies though. I'm looking forward to seeing a Kali community build! -
New races of Historica: Ideas
Lord Vladivus replied to TheUtilityBelt's topic in Guilds of Historica
I don't have them yet unfortunately. If you're after pics, head to the Action themes sub-forum, they've photos of the sets. -

They're around in the UK. But yeah, hopefully we'll see them in MOCs soon! -
Book II - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Lord Vladivus replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Guilds of Historica
You can also post "freebuilds" (non-challenge MOCs), which help expand the world of Historica, and also help your chosen guild. -
New races of Historica: Ideas
Lord Vladivus replied to TheUtilityBelt's topic in Guilds of Historica
@kabel that looks like a good idea- I think pictures are a good idea. I'd've probably used the new Chima parts, if they'd been available at the time- but the Geonosians make it look a little more unique. I'd be interested to see a full on spider version of the Ungolian. -

Ah, they're a tribe I created- they're a giant spider-scorpion race. I was indeed inspired by Tolkein! The Ungolian -

Some of us have used the crocs and wolves, plus there's a whole raven tribe. I do want to see the spider people included! -

So is pretty much every undead. "Stop undead discrimination! Zombies have rights too". ;) Zombies and other undead are a special case, but I'd be inclined to include them- people might miss using them. Which leads me to another point- we need to make sure people realise the index isn't a be all and end all to the species in Historica- it's always great to see people creating new races. EDIT: @kabel sorting by Guild is a great idea- there might be repetition between guilds, but it would help see which races traditionally are attached to certain guilds. Maybe 4 posts, one for each Guild (do we include Varylio? As I recall they have centaurs in some of their valleys). -
New races of Historica: Ideas
Lord Vladivus replied to TheUtilityBelt's topic in Guilds of Historica
For my part, races I've used are: Vampires Werewolves Reptrians Caniban Shkcklyk (Swamp people) Zombies Night Elves Orcs (Greenskinned) Half-orcs Cyclops Shraliek Ungolians Obviously these are pretty much Nocty orientated, and could probably occupy their own designation, or some could fit in the "humanoid" category. The most different are the Ungolian. If I think of any more, I'll add them. -

Poor guy? He'd betrayed his friend, and Historica to boot! Vladivus doesn't take kindly to traitors! Thanks!- 20 replies

I'd probably separate out the Nocty tribes into individual races, as they're not necessarily the same thing. Would we count sub-races, like the Elves- there's a few different ones that have cropped up?
