  1. Nice architecture using those arches!
  2. Do it! It's rewarding- although I've found trying several new techniques gets frustrating quickly, try one or two at a time, and get comfy and happy with those! I'm glad to have inspired, that's what GoH is for, and I think that sometimes gets lost in the rush of getting builds out- it's not necessarily about the quantity, but the quality of the builds, and improving yourself!
  3. Love that doorway! And the texturing is sublime!
  4. Great scene! I love the tan trees, they are certainly different, and do add splashes of lighter colour into what are frequently gloomy Nocty MOCs!
  5. Damn. Yet again, you've blown it out of the park! Great job!
  6. Planning on making enchanted pumpkin pie eh? Great build, and it's nice to see someone using the cyclops as a tribe.
  7. Beautiful as ever Gideon! Love that tree especially!
  8. Haha great entry! Love the story!
  9. Nice scene! Great fig too, and cool power. I'll keep an eye on the sky! I like the rock work where the stream/river has carved it's way.
  10. I'm assuming he means the intro of your sig fig as the guild entry- or challenge entry. I was under the impression guild colours should be represented if you wanted it to add to the total for your guild. I don't know how it all works under the new rules though. Edit: looking at the freebuild topic it looks like anything that's not a challenge entry is a freebuild, and just needs to go in the freebuild topic with the relevant information.
  11. Thanks guys! Seeing as the half-orcs have proved popular, there might be a chance of them starring in their own MOC sometime soon- maybe a tribe style thing (ala the competition, but obviously a freebuild). @ZC regarding the bases, I looked at what Legonardo did with his, and initially tried to copy them. It didn't work so well, but what I've learnt is that the less you think about the shape, the better they turn out. As long as you think about the colour composition, it's something that looks quite effective. It also adds some more organic shape to a medium that's inherently quite angular. I agree about the tower, I'd have liked to make it 1.5 times the height it is now, but I'm making do with a relatively small collection.
  12. Thanks guys! @ZC, it's the most complicated thing I've tried to do- I'm a "build a 1 stud thick wall" kind of guy, but I wanted to try new things and push myself. Baby steps, but I don't want to overwhelm myself and bite off more than I can chew. I'd also imagine the wall to be at least twice that thickness were I to build the whole thing.
  13. Congratulations Emma! They were excellent entries- and in my opinion, no one could top them (although some came close!)! Both unique, and fantastic usage of parts. Great entries from everyone else!
  14. Nice, I like the foliage!
  15. Damn that's awesome.
  16. Haha "dragonchicken"! Great MOC. I love the table in the corner under the tree- just that bit seems so real.
  17. Great build! I love the blood coming out of the rocks and the rock work is great! Brilliant story too, I like the children as live paintings- certainly shows his evilness.
  18. Thanks guys! @mrcp6d Residual magic from the elemental attacks? Haha, I hadn't noticed, I think a couple of the larger plates I used are a bit warped. @Yooha It certainly is a good idea- I find it tricky, as a lot of people's figs I don't have the parts for. With regards to the General, there aren't any pictures of him in his current outfit, but it's essentially the Lone Ranger torso and legs, with Uruk-Hai armour over the top, and a CMF werewolf head and hairpiece, plus a red cape. He carries an axe and Boromir's shield.
  19. @mcrp6d thanks! It was originally only about half the height, but I kept building it up. It wasn't really needed for the photos, but it sat on my table and just looked unfinished. I got the idea for the layers from Legonardo and Gideon. Real castle walls have this so I figured it would be accurate.
  20. The wizard fig is great! I love that foaming swamp too!
  21. Ah it's nice to see the background of Circardia and to look over your older MOCs! Great!
  22. Great story, and the action is brilliant too! I like Death- cool fig!
  23. That floor is great! Nice story too!
  24. As others have said, the use of the planet some is brilliant! I love the architecture in this, especially all the spiky details! Great landscape too!
