What I'm curious about is do the scum have a factional kill which they can pass around, in addition to any benefits given by the costumes, or can they only kill if they receive a killing action via costumes?

You would have won alone if you had killed fhomess and fhomess had killed Fugazi. Killing Fugazi made you win with scum. Had you killed fhomess and fhomess killed you, you would have won with town. He said that he was trying to stop the vig from killing him by claiming bomb, and that he was trying to implicate William and I as scum when he cam up janitored.

Yeah, it's very different isn't it? I prefer Eurobricks. I've survived and won two games in mafiascum, both newbie games, one as scum and one as town. I tended to get into massive 1v1 arguments with people which lasted the entire game . Once I defended a townie who was one vote away from being lynched on page 2 of the game . Got a lot of heat for that. Well, that's just rubbing it in I would have preferred a solo SK win. At least Hinckley was aiming for that, instead of choosing Mafia over Town. You're welcome. Gotcha. Thanks for the codes Yes, you should listen to us more. Stumps know best . I agree. However, it seems likely that Alder has not done this. You forgot Simon's bulletproof ability. He can't be killed at night. At all. So town can't lose, unless the SK dies and the Maple doesn't. I agree. If Simon's the SK, then he hasn't been doing that bad of a job at night- he's been taking out scum or scummy Townies. Judging by the win conditions, there's probably a Maple left alive. From your PoV, it has to be Lassie. Too true So basically, you benefit by not lynching today. The SK can't win with scum. Assuming the first possibility is true, Simon benefits from killing Lassie at night, whereas Lassie can choose who to kill, basically being the kingmaker between town and the SK. But I disagree. You are most likely the SK in this situation. I actually agree with this. Assuming there is a SK, a Maple and a townie, the SK can only win with town unless Simon is the SK (in which case he can win alone if there's a no-lynch and Lassie targets Sammy tonight). However, this is unlikely. The SK cannot win with the Maples. Why else would the game not have finished yesterday with Adelaide's lynch? Maples cannot win unless the SK is dead. It is beneficial for the SK to claim. If the SK is lynched, town loses. Therefore it is not in the Oaks' interests to lynch the SK today. SK, you have no fear of being lynched today. Claim please. Simon is Town. Any SK in Simon's position (holding the hammer between two other players) could easily just vote without caring and whoosh! win the game. Any Maple in Simon's position could do the same. Therefore Simon is town. Which means that he needs to hammer the Maple out of the two of you. SK, I'm speaking directly to you, whoever you are. You can win today, with Town, if you claim now. Simon will hammer the scum and you two can win.

I'm now looking at the voting record. Sammy's vote on Day 1 was for Bruce. He was the second vote on Bruce, after William, and was soon followed by Lassie, who was the third and last vote on Bruce. Neither of them unvoted and they didn't join the Alastair bandwagon. On Day Two, Sammy was the ninth vote on Catarina, when the bandwagon was in full swing. Lassie was the 14th vote on Catarina, voting after she had been hammered. On Day Three, Lassie voted ninth for Larry. Sammy, however, voted for me (Berty); his was the only vote on me and he didn't contribute to the Bobby or Larry wagons. He stuck out from the crowd. On Day Four, Lassie voted for Maggie, (now an Oak stump) standing out from the crowd by doing this. Sammy voted 4th for Hazel, and Lassie voted 6th (Sammy voted before Hazel's second selfvote and Lassie voted after). Lassie and Sammy both voted for me (Berty) on Day Five; Lassie voted third, before the wagon picked up, and Sammy voted seventh. On Day Six, Lassie voted first on Jack and Sammy voted fourth; his was the second-last vote on Jack. On Day Seven, Lassie voted second for Adelaide, and Sammy voted fourth, after the hammer. Yes. I thought that as soon as the scum achieve the majority, they win.

Imagine one of Sammy and Lassie is scum. Say Sammy, for example (it doesn't really matter), and therefore assume that Lassie is the SK. Day 7. Five alive - 2 scum, 1 SK, 2 townies. A townie (Adelaide) is lynched. Which leaves two scum, the SK, and you. Since scum have the majority, they auto-win. I don't know the mechanics of the SK role. When I've played with the SK before, its win condition was that it had to be one of two surviving players at the end of the game. Its existence did not prevent the scum from winning, but did prevent the town from winning.

So I looked through my PM conversation with Lassie. Here are some tidbits of information which could or could not be useful. 1. Lassie was sure that the scum had scattered their votes on the Day 1 lynch. Looking back at the lynch, two of the confirmed scum (Barry and Sue) voted for Alastair; whereas Jack and Peter voted for Hazel instead. 2. Lassie was extremely interested in Alastair's flip and what it would be. 3. Throughout the period of our conversation (Night One to Day Four), Lassie maintained suspicion of Bruce and Simon, especially Bruce. 4. Lassie brought up the idea of a "janitor list" in the PM. I believe this was before it was brought up in thread.

Simon, there cannot be any Scum left. If there were 2 scum alive when Adelaide was lynched, then they would have won already and there would not have been a Day 8. I personally think Sammy is the SK, but that's just me. Surely the bulletproof townie only has a one-shot bulletproof vest? Tonight, the SK will just kill the townie out of the two of them and the SK will win...
