  1. Which is one of the reasons I'm voting for him. On to today's lynch. I don't think we should lynch William, because if he is scum, he is probably not a vengeful scum and therefore would have no reason to try to get lynched. If he is town, then he will probably kill Simon, and if he's town too (which I believe to be the case) then it is all a waste. Simon and Bruce are also not viable options for the lynch; nor is Jack in my opinion. Everyone else is fair game. Maggie hasn't spoken at all today (correct me if I'm wrong); plus, Barry was reluctant to kill her. If he even had a kill action. I'm just not sure that warrants a vote. I'd be happy to vote for Peter, Chester, Nash or Hazel today.
  2. It was at 06:10 PM on the 11th of February (English/UK time). The forum time is one hour ahead of my time it seems due to the clocks changing. So it says 07:10 but is actually 06:10 English time. You'll have to work out what that equates to in your time. Which deal with William? William himself told me about the mutual kill thing, but Barry told me about the "deal" he made with William.
  3. 1) So am I. 2) I had a strong townread on Barry. He probably saw this as a good opportunity to both buddy someone and gain their trust. 3) I know right? Everyone seems to think that reading mafiawiki is a default option for a newbie miller. 4) I went to Bruce because you were involved in the whole William/Barry deal thingy and the mutual kill thingy. He was less likely to be biased and also, I trusted him more. He was also more likely to believe me. You would just think that I was fishing for the bomb again. 5) Perhaps it was. But how likely is a scum bomb? Very unlikely. 6) Very recently; at 07:10pm forum time before the night action deadline. 7) How? I thought he was the SK. The SK is a threat to town, right? I thought the block should know. 8) Barry told me that William had claimed Vengeful to him and asked me if I had also received the claim. In the same post, he strongly hinted that he was the bomb but had not claimed to Simon. I asked him if he was the bomb and then he replied with his role. Wait what? Yes, but there are two of them and there are some rules about what they can and can't do. I thought that there could be a version of Faith Healers, only with investigators rather than protectors.
  4. Stop fishing for the Vig !!! Thanks for the confirmation; I'm pretty sure that Barry wasn't the SK now, but scum. Bandwagoning. You're taking Hinck's suspicions and Hazel's crazy ideas about the vig thing and twisting it into a suspicion. He was being hypothetical. In fact, I think I'm going to Unvote: Peter Cedar (badboytje88) and Vote: Chester Chestnut (Lego Spy). Two investigators? If there are actually two Town Investigators, then the scum must have so much power to balance it out. If what you are saying is true, then I am inclined to believe it, as weird as it may seem. Could they be some form of Investigator Faith Healers or something like that? I remember reading a game in which there were faith healers....
  5. This sounds a lot like you know the role of every single player. When Barry claimed to me, he mentioned that he didn't care who knew about his claim since he would win if he survived to Day 4. I think he may have been telling the truth here. Let's say he was a SK whose win condition was surviving to Day 4. He went all-out last night to avoid being killed by making up some crazy role-claims to cover his bases. But he was killed eventually by the vig. Barry never mentioned Clem to me. In fact, he told me Clem was rather towny. I also told Bruce about Barry's role, roughly 2 hours before the deadline. That may have given Bruce time to tell the vig and the vig time to send in the kill on Barry. Hmm. Doesn't really tell us anything special. Yes. Peter hammered both Catarina and Larry.
  6. I clearly stated that my personal belief is that there is no janitor, and the stumps of scum/neutrals are removed. I'm not 100% on Alastair, but that is what I think. And I think Barry was the SK. I think you're right about a claim that would cover his bases. When I told Bruce about Barry's claim, Bruce asked me to tell Barry that the town block wanted him to kill William. Bruce then told me to tell Barry that the town block would kill him unless he killed Maggie. I told Barry that the block would kill him unless he killed Maggie. Barry said that he'd rather kill Bobby. I think it is this option. There is no point in maples/SKs becoming stumps, so the host balanced the stumps with not knowing the non-Town players' alignments. I think you mean Barry rather than Berty here. Also, you seem extremely dismissive of the existence of a SK. I agree that a vengeful scum is unlikely. I also think that Barry was lying to multiple people. He implied that he was bomb. I said: Did you just claim bomb to me? He responded with: Not bomb per se, but I have chosen to interpret my role as bomb. See the pattern? But he did explain his whole role to me. This is scummy. You only want to vote for Waldorf and Nash because their names have been brought up? This also looks like you're saying, "oh well, it's a real bother having to come up with some fake reasons for joining a townie's bandwagon". I don't think there is a janitor. I am pretty sure there is a vig, since Bruce told me to tell Bobby that the block would have him killed unless he killed Maggie. That implies that there is a living vig. I think that Barry killed Bobby, Vig killed Barry and Scum killed Clem.
  7. The first line of your post implies that William is town. His exact words were that you (Simon) and he distrust each other immensely. He later said that "at least he'd kill a scum [ by way of his vengeful claim ]"
  8. William told me, Barry, and probably others via PM. Out of the blue. Well then Barry was lying to one of us. Or you're lying. I think Barry was the SK. Barry told me he wanted to kill Bobby, so I assume that's who he killed. I think Clem was the scum kill and Barry himself was the vig kill. I've been in contact with him since Day 1 and townread him. He believed my claim. He was almost certainly a big liar and only pretended to trust me. I'm just pointing something out, William. I don't think there's a janitor. I think the alignments of all Maples/Neutrals are hidden upon death. I have a feeling that William is a jester or something. If not, then he is what he claims to be. I doubt he'd try to get lynched as scum. Scum bomb or scum vengeful is too OP.
  9. Any particular reason? Why not vote for William?
  10. I'm not liking Chester, Nash, Peter or William right now. Vote: Peter Cedar (badboytje88) I explained why I thought Peter's behaviour was odd yesterday. Now that we know that Bobby and Larry were both town, Peter's wagon- jumping looks like a scum member who doesn't care who is lynched because the two targets are both town. Plus, Peter has barely contributed anything of substance. Flying under the radar too.
  11. So I made a vote count thingy- not sure how useful it is but here goes.... (( Stumps in GREEN. I think Barry was worried that he'd be the prime choice of lynch were Larry to flip scum. Ignore that, it was meant to be a table, but absolutely failed. Looking at the votes yesterday, I find the wagon on Bobby weird. Clem (now a stump) started it off, followed by Adelaide, Peter, William and Barry. Adelaide, Peter and William all jumped off the wagon to vote Larry (or Simon, in William's case) This left Clem and Barry on Bobby's wagon. Clem, Barry and Bobby all died in the night. Nobody who voted for Larry died. This probably has no significance; I just find it odd.
  12. Oh- I thought we had to send out codes to all new stumps Who do you not have codes for ??
  13. Page 2: Barry told me about your conversation with him. Barry also said that he wanted to kill Bobby. Barry told me that you made a deal with him = he would kill Simon if Simon didn't hammer you. Remember that Barry could have lied to both of us if he was scum. I personally think Barry was the Serial Killer. Pages 3, 4 and 5: So, Barry gave a strong hint that he was bomb (but hadn't claimed to Simon) in PM. I asked him if he was the bomb. He gave me a very cryptic explanation of his role, saying that he is a town-sided neutral, wins if he survives to Day 4 (and then can kill someone), and will kill everyone who targets him for death. I reported this to Bruce. I live in the UK, so it was night-time for me at the time of this post. And why would I do this? 1) If anyone's lying, it's Barry or you. I told Bruce what Barry told me, and I'm telling all of you too. 2) Barry told me that he was talking to you 3) I AM NOT A "SHE". You know what I think? 1) There is scum, a vig and a SK 2) Barry was the SK 3) SK and scum killed on Night 1 and Night 2 4) When I told Bruce about Barry's odd claim, Bruce alerted the Vig, who didn't kill anyone on the first two nights 5) Vig killed Barry, Barry killed Bobby, scum killed Clem. Oh yeah, codes. Bobby, I am a 9801. Larry, I am a 37. Clem, I am a 64 (my role- miller- wasn't in the codes you sent me)
  14. I'm going to reply to one page per post. Page 1: This is exactly what Barry told me. He might have been lying about all of it though. No. Barry specifically told me that he had not claimed bomb to Simon;; besides, he was the one who claimed to me. I didn't ask for his claim. Yes, he claimed a code to me in private.
  15. Read Cosplay Party. I agree, but it does make sense that some Maples would try to appear pro-Town by pushing the codes.Only Sammy and Bobby left to vote...
  16. Oops, accidentally quoted Peter twice. I find this behaviour rather scummy. First, Peter "friendly poke votes" Bobby, in the middle of Larry's wagon when the lynch could go either way. Then, when people call him out, he immediately unvotes... ...and says he doesn't want a bandwagon on Bobby. Just in context, Bobby hasn't replied to the poke or spoken up; he only posted twice to call himself useless. Again trying to look towny, he says this... ...and then sets the scene for tomorrow, so that if Larry flips scum he can lead a lynch on Bobby. NOTE: This theory relies on Larry being scum and Bobby being town. He was my strongest townread until the middle of today. He's looking decidedly scummier now, especially if Larry is a Maple. I've got to vote, and I don't like the way certain people piled votes on Bobby and then switched to Larry. Although Bobby's unhelpful attitude is both scummy and detrimental to town, I think Larry is a likelier scum because of the voting patterns and his lynch will tell us more about other players. Therefore I'll Vote: Larry Larch (TheLazyChicken)
  17. Bring on the walls o' text! Yeah, it does look like that. I'm starting to agree with this. 1) You're entitled to your own opinion. Odd that you post this just after Simon says he's worried about me. 2) That is true, and I believe I've already given my reasons for it. 3) How many times do I have to say this? I DID NOT KNOW HOW TO HANDLE THE ROLE AND I DIDN'T THINK TO LOOK IT UP. I ONLY REALISED THAT IT WAS A SMART MOVE AT THE END OF THE DAY. Honestly.... 4) He did, and he'll confirm that he did. 1) Are you referring to me or Jack? 2) I can verify that all this is true.
  18. Are you joking ?? I posted mine in-thread. Did you read my last post? About why I am concerned? Nice to hear that. I'm watching you carefully too.
  19. I also consider fishing as negative, but not always coming from scum. I already brought up the investigator point, therefore the two if you are as good as confirmed Oaks in my eyes. Catarina was universally scumread. Larry is playing less scummily IMO and maybe town don't want to flashwagon a newbie after yesterday? Or maybe Larry is scum. Do you know, I once played a game on another site where I was the investigator and a random scum claimed investigator with a "town" result on me! I fell over laughing.
  20. Oh, that's what you mean. It's still fishing, but fishing with justification. I like how when I quote Simon, it quotes as "megablocks".
  21. I agree. It's more likely that, say, all the Maples are JOATs or something, than that dead Maples show up as Oak. This is fishing. Just because she outed nine vanilla claims you think you can take advantage of that? And why would I give the stumps a different claim from what I claimed in-thread ?? (unless I'm a very stupid Maple)
  22. That looks suspiciously like an excuse for bandwagoning. I didn't think to look it up. Honestly, I kinda forgot the significance of my role and played as if I was a vanilla (which I basically am). Only late in the day did the thought suddenly come to me: what if I was to be investigated ?? Well, at least three other people have gone around claiming behind scenes...
  23. Why are you not bothering to defend yourself ?? Why would defending yourself involve lying ?? And why would I group myself with the scum, as either alignment ?? I am not asking the investigator to come forward; I am merely saying that he/she would probably come forward if Simon and Bruce were lying. I initially voted Agnes as a poke, but later actually got suspicious of her. It is optimal play for Millers to claim on Day One -- look it up or ask anyone. And as for why I'm still alive, who knows ?? Ask your scumbuddies. Don't give up. It's never good play (although if you're a Maple, feel free to give up!). If you are town, defend yourself! Get involved! Yes, I asked you who had claimed bomb. I can see why that pings you, but at the time I wanted to be in contact with another (hopefully) town role, so that I could talk to someone without worrying too much if they were scum or not. But then again, bomb is a fairly convenient role to claim. Yes, I claimed it late in the day. I'm a newbie. I've only played one mafia school game on here before. You're all so experienced and knowledgeable and I think you're targeting new, less able players who make easy lynches. If you're scum, that is, which I do doubt. Besides, I'm concerned about the bandwagons. Except for the 3 votes on Bruce on Day One, every single wagon of 3 or more votes has been on a newer, less experienced player. I'm worried that we have a very experienced scum team who are getting easy lynches from floundering newer players. Who knows, they could win the game tonight if we lynch wrong! As for Larry, I find him suspicious but not unlike some other players who have died and flipped Oak. I'm concerned that scum are taking advantage of this. In all fairness, Bobby seems scummier but I am hesitant to vote for him for these reasons. Larry was playing like this as town in Excalibur TNG; Bobby was playing like this as scum in Cosplay.
  24. If they are lying, the real investigator would come forward and tell us as much, or claim to the stumps. Oh, and besides, I'd reckon that slightly more than a quarter of us are scum. So vote wisely if you're town; don't just hop on the largest wagon.
