  1. Thanks both of you, and robuko, I will take your advice and find a better backdrop next week!
  2. Even scummier. If you were town, you'd just accept the fact that you're going down and hope that your alignment may confirm a scum. This desperate wagon-hopping signifies your true personality: a caught scum!
  3. I can't see your images - maybe your image hosting site has gone down
  4. Thanks again :)
  5. Oh. Now I see your tactic - clever. Too bad that it led to me outing my role publicly - here I was, thinking that I'd possibly caught a scum So now Russel has 6 votes and Eric has 5. That's very close, and it leads me to believe that one of the two is scum and the scum are trying to save him. This will potentially help catch scum should our lynchee flip scum in the end.
  6. According to Al, his actual role is tracker (Bob made a mistake in the role PM). There is a watcher, and it is someone else.
  7. Thanks, guys
  8. My vote for best monolith goes to Jacob Nion
  9. Mission Log: Entry 1 ~ We landed successfully on one of Serium's many islands this morning. Leaving the crew with our pod, I set off to find the location of the beacon that we had dropped onto the planet's surface two days ago. Its analysis showed us that the atmosphere was non-toxic and we could land on solid ground. It's an extraordinary place- the islands are slanted, gradually sloping into the sea. The sandy beaches give way to grassy land, covered in strangely shaped plants and weeds. There is evidence of an alien civilisation milennia ago from the remnants of walls now sunken into the sand. Only one animal seen so far - a Slyri, a species of sea snake unique to Serium. The beacon is just in sight - I should reach it within the hour...
  10. List these "convincing thoughts". IMO, Eric is a convenience lynch, and the scum are behind the bandwagon. Agreed. I would also say that if Russel is scum, it is highly unlikely that you are either, simply because three scum on the Sarah wagon is just too attention-drawing, and besides, he is pushing on you today. I would like to draw everyone's attention to a more pressing issue. There is a mole in the town block. And no, I don't mean a small furry animal. I was just contacted by Al asking why I targeted him last night. I am a vanilla townie - I have no night action. So whoever gave Al this information must be lying, and therefore scum. Al obviously believes this person, so I can deduce that they are in the town block. I would strongly advise you to be wary of an infiltrator in your midst.
  11. Umm...neither have you. Talk about hypocrites
  12. Can someone please remind me of the case against Eric? As far as I see it, quite a few people are voting for him with little explanation. I know he was on the Sarah bandwagon, but is there any other significantly scummy things that he has done?
  13. Hey guys! I've just signed up as an explorer. I'm working on a build on Serium now!
  14. Just generally, I'm sorry for my inactivity; this is a rather busy time for me and I'm less able to post than I otherwise would be. I'm not sure he would want to stand out like that. Think about it: with one experienced scum dead and another going down, the remaining scum are going to do whatever they can to avoid unnecessary attention. Seems like odd behaviour for a scum - but then again, I've never played with Eric before and don't know how he plays as scum or town... Onto my main suspect of today: WIFOM. This was your whole plan, wasn't it? The distancing... And this is just fishing. Al or the investigator can reveal any results at their own discretion... Typical scum behaviour - picking someone who is suspicious and is an easy lynch, and pushing on them... I've seen this too many times before. Suggesting the existence of a second scum team is a classic scum tactic to confuse and overly worry the town; it makes the townies increasingly paranoid and spreads confusion. I've been suspicious of you since Day One and I feel that you deserve my vote today. Vote: Russel Price (Sandy)
  15. It's absolutely fine And here's my sig-fig picture. Dragonfire, Kawashita Explorer, signing up now!
  16. I seem to recall that the dragonfly is an invertebrate which is indigenous to the planet Earth (some small world a few galaxies away). My name is much more impressive.
  17. Name: Dragonfire Job: Explorer Faction: Kawashita Group Sigfig coming soon!
  18. I hope nobody is foolish enough to believe Irene's defense. Take a look at this for further confirmation of her scumminess: 1) Irene claims that she has no role 2) Al confirms that a watcher saw Irene targeting Shirley (assuming they are both telling the truth, this means she can only be the vig, SK or a scum) 3) Irene reads this and realises she's been duped. Her only way of saving herself is to change her claim and claim the only possible town role she can be. 4) Al has told us that the vig claimed to him. This claimant is obviously not Irene. Contradictory claims with a clear motive = scum. Vote: Irene Allen (mostlytechnic) In the unlikely case that she flips town, we'll at least know that the person who claimed vig to Al is lying (or else Al himself is)
  19. Okay. I'm back now, after being away for a while. First, I'll reply to Eugene's comment: All I can say is that I thought Brian was scummy, and said it. At the time of my vote for him, I was in a hurry and wanted to get my vote in before the time limit, and so I voted for the person who I thought was most scummy quickly. I can't really defend myself against "seeming a bit off" My current suspicions are Russel and Gregory; I also find the bandwagon on Sarah suspicious. I told Pamela this via PM because I couldn't post on the day thread anymore and I wanted not to forget it.
  20. Just saying, I will be very busy today and tomorrow, maybe too busy to post. On Saturday and Sunday, I will have no Internet access at all.
  21. I haven't had time to read any of the posts, and I probably won't be back for about 12 or so hours. I'm going to vote just in case the day ends and I get penalised. Vote: Brian Barnes (Shadows) I'll explain it more later.
  22. Am I missing something here? Is there something Gregory has done that I am just not seeing, or is everyone only suspecting/voting him because of Shirley's "scummy vibes"??? This is ridiculous. At least produce some reasoning if you're going to vote someone. Okay. I have two issues with this. 1) Some other people (including myself) said basically exactly the same thing and yet you single out Ace and ignore the others? 2) You claim that Brian has already addressed this. Here is Brian's post: 1) How can Gregory defend himself from an accusation of "scummy vibes"? 2) Brian plans to vote Gregory based on Shirley's "scummy vibes" 3) He wants to vote Gregory because nobody else has been accused Please tell me, how is this post an accurate explanation of Brian's actions and how does it successfully "address" the allegations against him?
  23. No. Brian implied that he would vote Gregory, for absolutely no reason, but didn't commit to it. On the other hand, I am not voting for anyone until I am more sure of someone I want to vote. Brian is currently the scummiest person IMO. But it's a rather weak read, and I don't feel strongly enough about him to vote. What makes Brian suspicious is the fact that Gregory had really done nothing scummy at all, except for being voted as a reaction test by two others. Brian has no legitimate reason to suspect Gregory, other than sheeping. I have a reason to suspect Brian. This is the difference. Also, see Wanda's first sentence below. I feel the same way. I guessed someone would call me out on this. It's happened before. First, my comment was more "I think Brian is suspicious" than "I think Gregory is town". As Irene (I believe) already said, I have no read on Gregory and no reason to believe that he is either town or scum. Brian was implying that Gregory was being blatantly scummy and needed to defend himself. Having been in Gregory's position before, I know what it feels like to be asked to defend yourself from allegations of "he's got a scummy vibe". It's really hard.
  24. Any particular reason for this vote? Or is it just random? How can Gregory defend himself/herself against an accusation of "scummy vibes"? I'm pretty sure Shirley (and maybe Al too) were voting to get reactions. You seem to be treating this as if Gregory is a legitimate suspect. I live in a 5 hour difference time zone from almost everybody else here. I'm not online at the same time as most of you, and I didn't really have anything to contribute to the whole fishy donut fluff business. Now that the game has kicked off, I'll say more. Personally, I'm not voting until I'm more sure of someone's scumminess. Or if my vote is needed to achieve a lynch. If I had to vote now, gun to my head, I'd be voting for Brian, because his non-committal-but-accusatory post pinged me. But I think I'll wait a while before casting my vote.
