  1. Yeah, I'd like to know that too, and see the scum writeboard too (if it was a writeboard, and not just a PM). Next time, it would be quite fun if lynches were included, just to put a spin on things.
  2. Summer's almost over :(

  3. Oh right, so you never made contact with the other scum.... And that wasn't a mistake, it made fhomess look scummier when he was given 3 mafia policies on the next day (we were confident that a town policy would come up)
  4. So I was right about Patricia... Sorry to everyone I doubted, like Erik ( ) and Lindsey too. Can't believe Ralph and Joshua were both mafia, that was a very risky play for you guys to make Can I just ask, how many town cards did you guys discard in the end?
  5. I find it somewhat scummy that the only two votes against the proposed government are confirmed scum Joshua and Edward.... I'm not taking into account Edward's vote switch, which could come from scum or town. Well, that's a majority. I think we can assume Scott is scum then, since if he was town, scum would have the voting majority and would be able to force a No vote. I doubt Michael is scum, otherwise Joshua would have voted the other way.
  6. I find her scummier than the rest of you. Same with Lindsey. And yeah, everything changed when Joshua basically claimed scum. I vote Yes, Michael got a town policy passed along with Erik, and we may as well take our chances. Fingers crossed that he's town!
  7. Right. At least we have a townie Mayor, that's a bonus. We cannot afford to choose a scum as TCC. Forget the whole godfather thing, any scum at all elected as TCC will cause us to lose the game since it's most likely that there will be only one town policy in the deck given to the Mayor. Ralph, I would suggest Christina, Edward and Michael as possible candidates for the TCC spot. We know one of them is scum but it's likely that the other two are town. Choose wisely!
  8. Do you remember the day when Lindsey was mayor, but was inactive and got replaced by Ralph (Day Three I think). And then on Day Four, she was the chosen mayor again?
  9. It actually can be me. If we vote No on the current mayor then theoretically I could get selected as the next mayor.
  10. We have to have a townie mayor and TCC if we want to prevent a mafia policy being passed. I would support us using our No votes to force a mayor we want. Myself or Ralph would be ideal, then we can make the other one TCC.
  11. Okay. I'm going to go with my gut and take a shot at the Godfather. Kill: Erik (Umbra-Manis) If anyone has any other suggestions for who I should kill, I'd happily oblige them.
  12. I'm really not sure who to kill, guys. Right now I kind of want to kill Erik based on a strong gut feeling that he's scum... but then again, Christina, Edward, Lindsey, Patricia and Michael are all viable options as well.
  13. Thanks for confirming yourself as scum. Ralph, you're town, sorry for doubting you. Now the big question: do I kill Joshua, the known scum, or take a shot at the Godfather? Since scum only need one more policy passed to win, it might be better trying to shoot the possible Godfather.... In terms of kill options, I'm not killing Scott, as he's AFK and it wouldn't tell us anything. I'm also not killing Ralph, and Joshua is not the Godfather. So the possible Godfather kill choices are Erik, Patricia, Edward, Michael, Lindsey and Christina. Edward's points about Joshua's lie that Ralph "investigated" Lindsey as town are certainly compelling, and I'm not willing to trust Lindsey again after the scum policy and her kill choices. First she wanted to kill Ralph, a proven townie. Then she wanted to kill Scott, and finally she complied with killing Anne, another townie. I'm guessing that if she's scum then Scott is probably town too. I'm going to reread some of the earlier days to see who backed who etc., and then come back to make my decision. It could cost us the game, so I'm gonna be very careful here.
  14. I want Joshua to post the PM publicly first, before I make any conclusions.
  15. Okay then, Joshua could you either post the PM you received from Ralph publicly, or else send it to me privately to confirm that you are telling the truth.
  16. I can affirm that I indeed received two mafia policies and one town one, and discarded a mafia one. Joshua, you may have just lost us the game. We had a great chance at winning there - an all-townie government - and you let it slide because you believed Ralph's lies..... Okay. We're going to play this like a lynching. Could everyone please say whether they would like me to kill Ralph (bearing in mind that he could just be lying to save the real Godfather from being killed) or someone else, and if so, who? Also, Bob, could you please clarify if we're allowed to post PMs in the thread?
  17. Avalanche sees a slip of paper lying beside his bench in Heroica Hall, and signs his name on it before returning to his drink.
  18. Oh, I wasn't aware of that, sorry if I misled you accidentally. Bob, could you please clarify whether this is the case? Are you referring to the Betsy situation here? As far as I understand, Betsy asked to leave the game and said she couldn't play anymore, so she was removed. Scott has not said anything, so he stays in the game. I'm not sure I've ever actually seen someone get kicked from a Eurobricks mafia game for being AFK... Yesterday, we as town forced Lindsey to kill the communal choice (Anne) rather than her own choice (Scott). With a hypothetical scum mayor, this would be the same situation: they would be forced to kill whoever the town wanted, instead of choosing who they liked and outing themselves as scum. However, I'm not scum, and so I will gladly kill whoever the town wants, within reason. 1 scum card the day before? If I remember correctly, Christina and Patricia's government passed a scum card the day before yesterday; if there was only 1 scum card, as you say, then they are both scum... I never said Lindsey was scum, my discussion of a possible scum team was based on Christina's hypothesis that Lindsey was scum. Sure, I find both Christina and Lindsey scummy, but there's nobody I'm certain is scum except Ralph. It's clearly the latter option, but I can only see one desperate person, Christina. So maybe you're right, and she is scum, or maybe she's just a paranoid townie who suspects me and is inadvertently doing the scum's work for them. I just hope that at least one town policy is in the deck this time. Last time I was TCC I had no choice but to pass a scum policy. This time the game hinges on it, and I'm confident in your towniness so we'll hopefully have a town policy passed today. Okay, sorry, I wasn't aware of that. But I agree, if you were mayor, anyone you chose might be the godfather, or a random scum. It's now late game, and I'm expecting the scum to be making some pretty risky plays, such as deliberately passing a scum policy as TCC when they have a choice between scum and town...
  19. I don't think the scum can do anything at this point, since opposing the vote would draw attention to themselves, as Christina is doing. You're entitled to your own gut feelings, but if this government fails, the only other person I'm sure is town (Joshua) won't be in a position of power - but then again, if you're scum that is what you want isn't it? It looks like the scum's role this game (as per Ralph) is sowing seeds of distrust here and there, and making us doubt other townies (such as Ralph's fake investigation result on Joshua). Tell me, Christina, who would you rather be Mayor/TCC if not myself and Joshua? 'Cause I'm sure scum are going to do everything they can to ensure that the Godfather - or, failing that, a regular scum - is installed as Mayor/TCC. If my government fails, then another mayor will be randomly selected; with 10 alive, the new mayor will be chosen from 8 of us (ruling out Joshua and myself) - either a 3/8 or 50% chance of them being scum (depending on whether there are 3 or 4 scum alive). And if they are scum, then it's game over as they will elect the Godfather as TCC. How are you so certain there are four scum? Let's say you're right, and there are four scum. If Lindsey is scum then it's likely that both Edward and Patricia are town, because town policies were passed when she was in government with the two of them. With Ralph being scum number two in that case, the third scum would be between you, Scott, Erik, Michael and me. I know I'm town, and Scott hasn't posted for days (so no reads on him can be gotten) - also, he was Lindsey's first kill choice, so he's unlikely to be scum if she is. So you, Erik and Michael. Erik and Michael passed a town policy together, so they're not both scum. Which leaves you as scum number four. If there are four scum and Lindsey is one of them, then it's Ralph, Lindsey, Christina and one of Erik and Michael.
  20. I think it's fairly obvious that Joshua is town at this point, and he's the least likely person here to be the Godfather. Are you urging us to vote slowly because you think I'm scum, or what? I understand we need to avoid electing the Godfather as TCC, but Joshua is not the Godfather so it's fine... I agree with you on Lindsey's scumminess. To be honest, I don't trust anyone anymore except myself and Joshua.
  21. Well it absolutely sucks that Anne was Town, at least now we know for sure that Ralph is Scum and Joshua is Town. With that in mind, I'm going to nominate Joshua Sutton (Peanuts) as my TCC. He's the only person I know and trust is Town, and I'm not risking nominating anyone who might be the Godfather. I, obviously, vote Yes to this.
  22. Thanks goodness. You haven't alleviated my suspicion of you, but at least you're following the general consensus of killing Anne. Sorry if you're town, we'll win this for you if so. Bob, since you will be giving us Anne's alignment after the kill, could you please reveal Betsy's alignment?
  23. The problem is that if we kill Ralph and he turns up town, sure, we've got two confirmed scum, but we don't have anyone we can trust as town and we've lost one of our own. That's why I'm advocating killing Anne, because even if she does turn up town, we'll have one confirmed townie, which is better than the alternative worst-case scenario of Ralph being town. On the flipside, Ralph's behaviour is definitely not Godfather behaviour, as he asked us to kill him and has been acting over-the-top scummy. Since the scum will instantly lose when the Godfather dies, it is almost impossible that he is the Godfather at this point. If one of Ralph, Anne and Joshua IS the Godfather, then it's likely they are already in contact with the remainder of the scum team, and I can't imagine a scumteam advising Ralph to do anything like this. Anne on the other hand would make a very plausible Godfather, and is (somewhat pragmatically) lying fairly low and making the occasional slightly helpful comment - this seems more like someone who is taking the advice of teammates on board. Lindsey, you'd better get in here and change your kill choice, we're already trusting you less and less as the hours slip by....
