  1. Karie felt gross, she stepped backwards in disgust. "I'm okay, just feeling a little..." She couldn't finish her sentence before she went into a coughing fit. She recomposed herself and took a potion from the back row.
  2. "That's fine, I'll just take it off when I get this chance, because I'm oh so curious to know what's beneath it." She unsheathed her dagger, poison dripping from the blade. "We'll see whose the lab rat after this, and you will regret ever calling me one. Allons' y!" She cried, as she swiftly pounces on the cobrawler from the front row using her newly acquired Dagger.
  3. "The world is never in black and whites. Only greys." She looks deadpan at the Apprentice. "I've heard that story more than enough times back home. I honestly don't care what situation you found yourself in. I can't forgive you." Lab rat, lab rat, lab rat, lab rat, lab rat, lab rat... "If you step away from that weapon, and take off your hood, I'll take off my mask, just for you."
  4. "Now it makes sense!" Karie exclaimed. "You steal people's common sense, not their taste! And it's powered by your huge ego!" Her cocky smile turned into a snarl. "Story time, oh joy unbounded, make it quick, we've got some pulverizing to do, anymore than fifteen words, I'm not interested."
  5. Karie knows what must happen next. Lab rat, lab rat, lab rat... She coats her dagger with the venom, not sparing even a drop. Lab rat, lab rat, lab rat... She looks at the rest of the party. Lab rat, lab rat, lab rat.... "Anyone else here a little nervous? Besides me?" "my beautiful little lab rat."
  6. "No, no, you keep the longsword, I'm quite content with this tiny, little dagger." Karie responds. "Jerk." She mutters under her breath. She looked at the dagger that was handed to her. Nothing special, just an everyday dagger. However, it's edge was sharper than her own. "I don't think I'll let go of you just yet." Karie thought as she stuffed her Heirloom Dagger into her pouch, and replaced it with the recently given one. "The Watchmen claim that multiple hooded figures have been seen at a time. I wouldn't think a Master of a creepy cult would be out and about, where he could be killed by roaming adventurers. He'd be waiting in the shadows, and pulling the strings. Whether those individuals have had their senses stolen as well, we'll have to see. Or, we could avoid them all together and go home and not become the Apprentice's chew toys," Karie then turns her attention to the Town Watch. "Yes boys, its been a hoot! But we really should go before we all get our sense's stolen!" She added extra force on the "sense's stolen" portion.
  7. "Wait, there's more than one of these nut jobs!?" Karie had a nervous look on her face. More prong bladed, sense stealing jerks. Yipee. "Look, I know you guys just got up to chatting, but we should be going. Let's get a map or whatever, find the apprentice and kick his teeth in, and get out of Dodge!" She notices Derrell's comment. "Derrell, I know this may sound sudden, but this isn't meant to be. I can already tell what's going to happen, you're a Town Guard, and I'm a rogue, bent on the pickpocketing of others. And to be quite frank, I simply don't give a damn." Her voice goes slightly masculine for the last line, as she turns her head to one side, and mime walks out a door. She then looks at the rest of the party, who is giving her an odd look. "What, "Gone with the Tide" was a really good play!"
  8. Karie was a little overwhelmed by such a big, menacing question. "What do you see in your future, Karie?" Sheesh, it sounded like her father. "The only certainty for all of us is a funeral." Karie joked. "Me, I can't really say I know where I'm going to be in my future. It's always been what happens right there and then that I worry about. I found that for me, goals are always out of reach, even just slightly. Something, or someone comes along, and you have to act there and then. As for this venom," she states, patting her pouch, "I'm saving it for someone special." She had a feeling some members of the party would disagree with her decision to hold onto it, but her mind was set on it. Lab rat, lab rat, lab rat... "Who knows where I'm going. One thing I do know is that we need to get out of here. Wherever here is."
  9. It's seems there was a bit of pressure on Karie to get the info out of these guards they had just beaten up. "Uh.... Hi." Karie turns to the party for a second. "Don't mention we beat them up!" She states with a sense of urgency, she then turns back to the captain who is now rubbing his rather sore ankle. "Okay, um, we five are from Heroica, and we were sent here to stop a Stealer of Senses. Perhaps with your help, we could piece some things together?" Karie thinks for a second, preparing a few questions, then asks them to the Town Watch guards: "Okay, number one, do you have any idea where we are, in this slightest? Number two, why are you guys down here? Was there an individual by the name Allen Lias involved perhaps? Three, do you have any recollection of what happened while you were dazed? You guys seemed to have been hypnotized or something."
  10. Words cannot describe how lovely this Station is. I love it, it's simply marvelous.Every little detail, every little nook, it's excellent. Thank you for sharing, you deserved that front page!
  11. "This may sound awkward coming from a rogue, putting I'm keeping to your word. You wanna talk about your suspicious background, you tell it to me in the noisy bar, back at the Hall. Kay!" Karie smiles, her pearly whites beaming. She goes back to examining the unconscious town guards, seeing if any had any sense left in them.
  12. "Eh, suit yourself." Karie responds. She shoves it back into the pouch on her belt. While kicking the guards to see if any are conscious, she motions for Em to come over to her. "You changed the subject back there when I asked you where you were from. Feeling more open to discussion, or do I have to pester you later?" She says, loud enough so only the two of them could hear.
  13. Using one of the Chi crystals was a clever idea to hold the statue. I like it!
  14. Those are some nice engines you have there! You're steam engine looks nice as well, better than anything I've made yet. I look forward to seeing more of your work!
  15. Karie passes her last potion to the now conscious Em. "You need this more than I do." She claims. She felt the extra weight of eight gold pieces in her pocket. She felt a sense of triumph over her. Perhaps they would get out of this dingy place. "Lab rat, lab rat, lab rat..." She walks over to the guards, to see if any could potentially be interrogated.
  16. OOC: Two things, 1. Happy Birthday, mate! 2. I should be at full health, not 1. Karie shakes off the putrid taste of the potion. She then feels her wound. It was still there, but it wasn't as nasty as before, only a large scar. She felt rejuvenated, and a lot better than when she first woke up in the cell. "Not much else to do but BEAT THIS SUCKA UP!" She makes her way back up to the party, and attacks Hard Head from the front row. EDIT: Thanks!
  17. Karie wreaths back in pain, holding her side. The wound is intense. Throbbing. Bleeding. She stumbles to the back of the group. She looks about herself. Light headed, loss of blood, going dizzy. A green bottle emerges from her pouch. She unscrews the lid and slugs down the potion from the back row. She stops after halfway through. She leans against the wall, panting. "Jeez, this tastes like donkey piss!" Karie wheezes. Mustering courage, she slugs down the rest.
  18. As the fighting continues, Karie drags Em's body away from the fight, and sits him carefully against the wall."Damn damn damn! Get up! Tell me your not dead! I still need to figure out your secret that your not letting us on to!" She yells, throttling him senselessly. She checks his pulse. Rather quick, but still, a pulse."Thank you, whichever big god in the sky that decided to spare this... ranger."She rushes back to the front to witness the aftermath from the last round."Focus on Beardy or Dualo! We can gang up on the captain once we've thinned out their numbers!" She howlers through the intensive struggle. She then thrusts her dagger at Beardy from the front row. Despite her still stinging injury, she knows she must press onwards if she's going to escape.
  19. Karie felt a little off. She patted around her waist with her hand, and brought it back to to eye level when she felt a warm, liquid like substance. Blood. She had been wounded. The pain was rather intense, having been stabbed at. But she still had the energy to move on. Karie darted for Pinhead from the front row.
  20. Hehe! Very cute! I think the building looks superb, and the zombie couple is rather clever. Well done!
  21. Karie, her face concentrated on proving herself after the previous failure, turns her attention to Beardy, attacking him from the front row, praying that luck would be on her side.
  22. Karie backflips to the rest of the party after realizing she's in the middle of the fighting area, landing on her feet with her hands outstretched, dagger in one hand. She begins to fidget with it, as she always does. "Stupid guard calling me... Right, all these guys look rather beefy, we should watch what we do. Hard Head should be a high priority, due to his sentinel ability, the rest generally do beefed up moves, but out of those three, Beardy should go first." She realizes that one of the guards is currently hitting on her. "Hey, don't look at me, look at the captain, he's the one not letting you get at me. But if this does blow over, and your still standing, I think I could arrange something..." "A good kick in the nuts!" Karie thought to herself. Karie takes a slice at Hard Head from the front row.
  23. "That's my que." Karie thought as she stepped in front of the party, pushing her way from the back of the clumped heroes. She then addresses the guards: "Kill on sight? I'm sorry boys, I have no clue what your talking about. We're new around here, and we're wondering where the guy in the snazzy green outfit went, he was supposed to show us around." She says in a rather sultry tone. "So, if you boys could lets us pass, and perhaps show us which way the fellow you were talking to went, I'm more than willing to give you, say 10 gold pieces if you don't tell the boss? Pretty please?" She gives the guards a rather stammeringly beautiful gaze, accompanied by a few wistful winks.
  24. Karie can tell "Em" was lying through his teeth. Any decent rogue would be able to tell he was trying to change the subject. In fact, it's Rule #6: When you see a lie, play along. "Had a friend who we all used to call Kyon, hated it to no end, but he went along with it since that's what everyone knew him as. Looking back, I don't think he ever told me his real name. Oh well." Karie had a feeling this guy was hiding something, but the interrogation would have to wait. Right now, escaping this hellhole took precedence over the shady ranger. She continued to peek around the corner, trying to get a good look at the who's down the hall.
  25. "Em? I must say, it's a rather awkward name. Then again, so is "Alderflask". Did you ever say where you were from?" Karie whispers, her head still poking her head around the corner trying to get a good look at the individual down the hall, as discretely as she can.
