Karie walked out into the cold, deciding to take a stroll to the local theatre. She realized walking alone that she had left people back home, few of which she really cared for. Most were either in prison or dead. Others simply turned their backs on her, while some she cut ties to herself. Had she told anyone she was leaving for Eubric? Was there anyone to tell? She continued down the street, huddling herself for warmth. "What would mother think of this?" She thought. "Brain washed, and almost killed. She'd probably murder me." She continued on her way up to theater.
"Mama
Thinks I'm living in a barracks,
A secluded little barracks
In the province of Grovance.
Mama
Doesn't even have an inkling
That I'm working in a nightclub
In a pair of leather pants.
So please, sir.
If you run into my Mama,
Don't reveal my indiscretion,
Give a working guy a chance...
Hush up,
Don't tell Mama,
Shush up,
Don't tell Mama...
Don't tell Mama,
Whatever you do.
If you had a secret,
You bet I would keep it.
I would never tell on you.
You can tell my Papa, that's all right,
'Cause he comes in here every night,
But don't tell Mama what you saw!"
The Emcee is joined onstage by two other chorus girls, who join in on singing the song.
"You can tell my Uncle
Here and now
'Cause he's owns the place, anyhow,
But don't tell Mama what you know!
You can tell my brother,
That ain't grim
'Cause if he squeals on me
I'll squeal on him,
But don't tell Mama, bitte,
Don't tell Mama, please, Sir.
Don't tell Mama, what you know.
Sssh!
Sssh!
"If you see my, Mummy,
Mum's the word!"
The audience roars in applause.
