  1. I had an idea for a low level quest, to get some heroes out there, but no one gave feedback. It's in the Quest Master's lounge if anyone would like to give feedback. I've already taken a few pictures, and I'm currently working on some of the enemies.
  2. Karie returns to notice another quest has been added. "Oh great, another ambiguous description. Definitely not a trap." She signs up for Quest #60 anyways. She finds her seat at the back of the bar, now knowledgeable in cemeteries and theater in the area. "So, have fun while I was away?" She addresses the trio sitting.
  3. "Thanks for the heads up, I'll have to take a stroll down there sometime, as well as look into some of those Pyrian plays." She bids the Metasimian farewell, and leaves.
  4. OOC: If you have a problem with Brickington, he's in the hall. Go talk to him there.
  5. Karie creeks the door open a tad and peers into the quiet library. She steps inside, and begins to browse, trying to get her mind off of the previous night's incident. Nothing of interest shows up in her search. She looks through the maps of the area, and after a while takes one of Eubric and walks to the front desk, the librarian reading a thick tome. A Metasimian. She had seen a few before back home, but they weren't commonplace like they seemed to be here. She put the map on the desk and points to an area of the city. "I was curious about the history of the city's cemetery. Anything of interest behind it, or perhaps recent events? As well, I've noticed a lack of theaters in the area. Are there any large venues in the city worth visiting?" She waits for a response.
  6. I just sang that to myself. I am not ashamed.
  7. Karie wakes up from her nap, content, but still uneasy. She decides to do some exploring. "Don't let anyone steal my seat." Karie gets up and heads for the library.
  8. I have an idea for a quest, similar to Quest #1: Harvest Time. Quest #--: Grim Grinning Ghosts The idea is that a cemetery has recently become overrun with undead and other creepy crawlies, and needs a party of heroes to weed out the unwanted spooks. The priest and the grave keeper, both well seasoned in this since this isn't the first time dealing with the problem, know that the price for professionals is far greater than paying for inexperienced, yet still well equipped heroes. The party has to successfully clear out three of the five areas in the cemetery, solving puzzles and meeting some of the local friendly undead, who are irritated at the amount of newcomers who have been running a muck in their home. The cemetery sections can be lost, if the battle is either fled, or the conditions are not met. Part homage, part something new, the quest should be a fun, frightful experience for newer players. Any suggestions, opinions, ideas?
  9. Karie has fallen asleep again. "The country of Dastan is so wide mein herr..." She mumbles, singing in her sleep.
  10. "Bye bye mein lieber herr..." Karie mumbles, singing a tune. She's jostled awake by Brickington as the dream ends abruptly. "Hmm, oh, yeah just peachy. Still sore, but eh, I've felt worse." She stretches. It's too early for alcohol. She notices the new guy in the hall. Black pointy hat. "Should we call him over? If so, your changing his diapers." She nods in and out of sleep.
  11. Karie walks over to her corner in the bar. She was tired, and incredibly irritated. She decided a good nap might help out, and rests her head on the table as she drifts off into sleep... "Meine Damen un Herren!" She had heard the opening spiel at least two other times tonight. "Meine dammen un herren, madames et meisieurs, ladies and gentleman! As some of you know, two weeks ago Ms. Kost left our billing to pursue another career. And since then, we have frantically been searching for a replacement. And after two weeks of searching, the Lucky Star is pleased to announce that we believe we have found our newest act. She is so wonderful, so talent, so precious, that before the show I told her I want her for my wife. And do you know how she responded? "Your wife, what would she want with me?" Her she is ladies and gentleman, the talented Karie Alderflask!" Karie stepped out into the spotlight for the first time. If only it lasted...
  12. Karie had had enough of questing for one day. Was this truly the last time she'd see the Harvester? As she stood up, she winced in pain. The Harvester's scar was still sore. She sulked her way through the snow, and back to the warmth of the Hall. "Last time I go willy-nilly into a quest like that..." She mumbles.
  13. Karie dismisses the huddle and looks at her teammates. "If what you state is true, and that no harm will come to these guards, then we'll take your offer on the conditions set beforehand." Karie had a gut feeling that this guy was lying about the guards safety, but they were stuck against a rock and a sharp, sense stealing weapon.
  14. That blasted ninja-star throwing Crusader's back!
  15. "So that's two for yes, one for no. Let's see what the ranger's have to say before we make any radical decisions. And if we do go ahead of this, me and Arnie will knock them out, and then we'll decide on who's carrying who since that bearded on may take two of us."
  16. "Can you give us a minute, please?" Karie motions to the party to form around her. "Group huddle gang. So, the way I see it, yeah, sure, let's do it. Assuming this guy isn't a traitorous jerk and it actually kills the guards, we should be fine. I say we vote on this, majority rules. I say yes, let's do this, get out of here, and keep quiet. Kay?" OOC: Time for politics! To assist with the decision, please bold your answer. It's either Yes, we knock them out, or No, we take our chances with the SOS.
  17. Purple's the new Green!

  18. Karie pulled out the box that the quest money came in. "Alright boys, cough up them coins." She addresses the SOS. "Okay, so maybe 50 coins was a little measly. I'll admit, easy-peasy pickpocketing. But!- how about 175 coins!? Now that's a hard days work right there, eh, eh! 35 coins from each of us, in the box, we'll toss it to you, and everyone leaves alive! Win-win scenario!"
  19. "Psst, Brickington, smoke bomb! Now!" Karie mutters under her breath. OOC: Can that even be done? Or would we have to enter combat first, and then run?
  20. Karie immediately knew what to do. "You like money? How about we say 50 gold pieces, and we walk out of here alive. That's fifty more gold pieces on your wallet than you had when you walked in! So... yeah, that sound fair?"
  21. Yes, that is true, but do you want to go down as "that party that failed their first quest"? And who knows, the QM might just pluck the reward right from under our unconscious bodies.
  22. Somehow, I knew someone was going to do that...
  23. Left quest thinking it was over and returned to Heroica Hall Convinced he's a veteran. Trust me, the welcome wagon of freshly baked Heroes is coming in soon, so you'll have someone to talk to, and after listening to the gory details involved in our escapade possibly decide that adventuring just isn't right for you.
  24. Hey hey, a new guy! Welcome, welcome, make yourself comfortable, rest your feet, and look out for the pickpocket behind you who is currently stealing every last gold piece in your wallet.
  25. Karie decided to step forward, looking somewhat guilty. A lie wouldn't save them now. She addresses the Stealer of Senses: "Your... cousin over there, he sent a request looking for heroes to assist him under the alibi of Allen Lias, posing as a member of the Town Watch. When we went to meet him in the Luminous Passage area, he knocked us out and dragged us here. He locked us in a cell, and then planned to use us as test subjects. He already had his way with some members of the Town Watch, who appeared to be in some state of trance, most likely under the Harvester's influence. We had no choice but to engage him in combat. We tried to negotiate with him, but he wouldn't listen. He appears to have singled me out, and used it on me as well." She lifts the bottom of her shirt up to reveal two prong-like scars protruding from her body. "He treated me like some sort of object, or so he told me. Look, we got wound up in this, and we're sorry he's dead, but that's no reason to kill us. We had no idea what we were walking into." Karie looked at the ground, terrified of what would happen next. "We're sorry 'bout your loss. I'm sorry 'bout your loss."
