I'm a little confused as to how magic works in battle, and outside of battle. Outside of battle, if the character performs a spell that logically makes sense with the gem they have, if succeeds, at the cost of one ether. Is a d6 rolled to see if they are successful? And in combat, how does ether work?

Karie was getting intrigued. She put her dagger away and relaxed a little. "So you like dramedy? Interesting. You ever see anything by Flander and Abe? They're pretty good, I've performed a couple of their songs myself actually." She then noticed the waiter heading for bar. "Make that two!" She then turned her attention back to Heckz. "You nervous at all? What with the possibility of being eaten alive by the undead in the cemetery?"

Karie could tell Heckz couldn't take a joke. She sat down in her chair in the corner and began to fiddle with her dagger. "So Heckz, you like theatre?" She was more focused in her dagger than Heckz at the moment.

Karie simply smiled and turned back to her chair after hearing Jeaux's reassurance. She still couldn't shake the feeling of being used and manipulated, and her scar showed for it. She sat back down and noticed Heckz fiddling with her wine. "Didn't your mother tell you not to play with your food?" Karie playfully asked.

Karie was listening to Jeaux's conversation, intrigued with his past. "An amnesiac, eh? Heh, man that must suck. Anyone ever call you Sem Mithrarin? Oh great and powerful Sem Mithrarin, we have chosen you as our vessel!" Karie impersonates an old preacher, then chuckles to herself rather girlishly. "Hey, I don't think I ever said this, but thanks for getting me out of that trance back there, I really appreciate it. You kinda saved me from a fate worse than death."

"The wizard doesn't choose the wand, the wand chooses... Oh crud, how did it go again?"

The old man makes his way back into the hall, and notices an update in the Sign Ups. Current Sign-Ups for Quest #61 Zoltan(LTPro) Jeaux (joeshmoe554) Em (emjajoas) Amma (PsyKater) Nessa (herrJJ) Heckz (Eric Su) He mumbles to himself, jotting the addition into his notebook, and than exits the hall just as quickly as he came in.

"Falana Wine please." She pipes up to the bar keep. "Where's that waiter when you need him?"

Karie nodded her head. "Alright, I'll believe you." She looked at the cluttered plates and bottles resting on the table. "Well, I'll get my mess moved out of the way, be right back." She picked up the plates and empty bottles and placed them on the bar, and returned to her chair. She proceed to wipe crumbs off the table with her hands. "So, do you have any thoughts on the two quests?"

"Magic shows, eh? Interesting. I had a gig once. One of the star performers too. People fought over seats just to get closer to me. They paid a pretty penny to watch me in one of my singing routines." She looked at the mage, with a smug grin. "I knew a man who used to perform magical spells for the public. I can tell right off the bat that a performer doesn't wear black. There's only one exception where that's common place and I don't believe, considering your skin tone, your from there. Also, your clothes do not match those of a street performer, not at all. Rarely does a street performer dress in pointy hat and cloak, but a jesters outfit, with the occasional splotches of makeup." She leaned back in her chair, smiling proudly. "But I've probably cracked your story open large enough to leave you at that. I won't press you any further, since it seems most people want personal info for personal info, if you catch my drift." She herself had secrets left in her. The difference between herself and Heckz was that Heckz was a horrible liar, and he was dealing with a previous part time street performer.

"Yeah, a little bit. Not as bad as it has before though!" She smiled. If anything hurt, it was the scar left by the Harvester, concealed under her clothes. "So, what did you do for a living before opportunity knocked?" Perhaps this mage was worth giving a chance.

My problem is the minifigs. They would look to off from a straight on perspective. Unless Lego plans on doing the heads in a molded style. Than again, we could see some new parts and colours, so I wouldn't mind seeing the Simpsons. However this could be building up to the 1st of April when they announce "Ha! You speculated for three weeks, and now we get to laugh at you! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

OOC: You can sign up for more than one quest, in fact I would recommend it, just in case you don't get into the quest you want to. Karie watched as Heckz came back up from the quest board, a little sore due to her drunken stupor. The scar hurt especially more than her head. "So, Heckz was it?, how drunk was I?"

An older looking man makes his way into the hall, his boots and pants covered in mud, his cloak splotched with dirt. He makes his way over to the Quest Board and checks the sign up list, taking a small leather bound notebook out, and taking note of the names on the list. He procures a flask out of his coat, takes a quick swig, and leaves the hall, leaving a muddy trail behind him.

Karie yells from her table to the bar keep. "Oi! My boots aren't muddy! They're rather clean actually." She walks over to the quest board after catching wind of new quests. "Quest 61, not a bad excuse to check the cemetery. However this other one has more money involved. And a not shady, potentially lying employer." Karie writes her name on the sign up for Quest #62

Quest 60 is up and away! And now it's time for me and Dannylonglegs to duel in Agni Kai bicker over who gets who for Quests 61 and 62!

Karie looked out of the bar and into the hall. "They left to go on a perilous adventure, then." Karie felt lonely. She could interrupt the automaton, but that seemed somewhat rude. "Oh." She got off the table and sat in a chair. She began to twirl her knife blade's point into the table, around and around.

Karie had finished her dance routine, bowing. She appeared slightly more sober than before due to the exertion of the number. She looked about, noticing something amiss. She looked down at Heckz. "Where's Brickie and Arnulf? She asked, unsure about being alone with this newbie.

Well, you got me there.

Especially since I want Karie to go Nechromancer. Be able to raise the dead AND the roof all in one. In all honesty, I think the problem for people is lack of parts. Sure, I'd love to do a Wolfgang quest, but I don't have the pieces to make the members. Hinckwell on the other hand, or Crownie knights, oh yeah, I got tons of those. Enough to create a small army actually.

I'll keep that in mind, since a small element from my first quest will branch off to form a small storyline. Not saying what it will be yet, though!
