  1. Saw The Lone Ranger today. Another very good movie that is certainly worth watching. It baffles me that the critics gave the film such poor reviews. They must have been watching an entirely different film to the one I was watching, in any case. For cinema movies in general, I am done until the release of Thor: The Dark World, so I guess I won't be posting in here for a while now.
  2. Thank you for the information. I'll have to remember that.
  3. The reveal that Karai was actually Miwa was something I had seen coming for a while. It was clever the way they subtly laid out hints for it in episodes when Karai made an appearance.

  5. Perhaps (I'm hoping that I'm wrong, which I probably am) the Star Wars sets were the only pictures in the catalogue. We simply don't know. Right now, all we can do is wait to see if any more pictures from the retail catalogues emerge. And quite frankly, I'm not interested in the preliminary pictures we get from the retail catalogues anyways. They just end up giving people wrong impressions about the sets due to the lack of new moulds in the pictures, among other things.
  6. I've never heard of this "Poptropica". As only one set seems to get through each review, I hope that this set does not pass review (no disrespect intended to original creators and anyone who wants this) so that we get a set which is more likely to appeal to me. Yeah, I know that it sounds a bit selfish, but that is just my opinion.
  7. Well, at the time when I made the account, I was more or less completely obsessed with Star Wars. I think that is all the explanation that is really required. On another note, how many posts do you need to make before you can change your username? I wonder because I'm planning on changing my username (which I'm not awfully fond of) to something which will describe me as a person better and for longer (I'm no longer completely obsessed with Star Wars).
  8. Something that has just occurred to me is that the new tribes (Scorpions, Spiders and Bats) could suggest that Chima is moving into a new environment next year. These tribes seem to suggest a transition into the caves of Chima and, in the case of Scorpions, potentially a desert. This would also suggest that these are full-blown tribes rather than nomadic characters (the likes of Skinnet and Furty).
  9. The village of Yaxley in England, United Kingdom. (it's near Peterborough in England, United Kingdom BTW) And may I please have an English flag?
  10. Went on Eurobricks and finished dismantling a load of LEGO sets to make room for more (I have very limited shelf space for LEGO).
  11. I'm guessing that Spinlyn is a Spider and, as Jaller8240 pointed out, Braptor is probably a Bat as his vehicle is called the Wing Striker. If this turns out to be true, then the Bat Strike Speedorz set is likely to include a different Bat minifigure (well, hopefully), but it would most likely just re-hash Braptor. I'm hoping that we see some Bears this wave, and it wouldn't particularly surprise me if a couple were dotted around in sets in this wave before getting sets of their own in the Summer. If this does happen, I can imagine a Bear or two making a cameo appearance in Rogons Rock Flinger. As for the Beavers, I read on the Wiki about the TV show that the Beavers go around working for other tribes in the world of Chima for money (or something along those lines, I can't remember exactly), so for me it is feasible that Beavers would also make random cameos in sets rather than getting vehicles of their own. I'm hoping that they do get vehicles as well though, and that is also another possibility for the Summer wave. As for where Beavers could cameo in this wave, I can see them appearing in either of the main Lion sets, if they appear at all in this wave. Banana Bash of the Speedorz line is likely going to come with a Gorilla, though which one it will be I cannot say. Web Dash of the Speedorz line is similarly easy to predict in that it will likely come with a Spider. Stinger Duel sounds like it will be another starter Speedorz sets with two Speedorz, one of which I predict will be rode by a Scorpion. As for Sky Launch, it could be assumed that it comes with an Eagle or a Raven, but we cannot know for certain until pictures emerge, which will hopefully happen very soon, as the first pictures from the retail catalogue have emerged already.
  12. A lot of people are suggesting a brick-built Smaug which, in my opinion, could end up making a set crazily expensive if Smaug is as large as he seems from what we have seen so far of him. As for me, I'm not sure whether a mould would be better than brick-built despite my price concerns; after all, we don't know what Smaug looks like fully. However he is made into LEGO, I will almost certainly buy the set containing him.
  13. Many of these sets look incredibly dull. The "Microfighters" are good for younger builders and possibly good part packs and army builders, but apart from that they appear to be very poor. The Battle of Saleucami looks pretty good; as does the Grievous' Wheel Bike (despite the lack of a Boga). The battle packs are so far the highlights of this wave IMO. The Kashyyyk Battle Pack has a great group of minifigures, and I will certainly pick up at least 1 of those. As for the Imperial Battle Pack, all I can say is: EPIC!!! Finally a chance for me to get some Imperial Guards. I'll be picking up multiples for sure. I'm not seeing the Battle of Utapau, the Droid Tri-Fighter, the Republic AV-7 Anti-Vehicle Cannon or the Coruscant Police Gunship. I suppose that there are more preliminaries to come, and I'm presuming that 1 or 2 of these sets are exclusives. Either way, this is currently looking to be a cheap wave for me, as I'm only buying the battle packs and the Battle of Saleucami for certain. I may buy Grievous' Wheel Bike, though whether I do or not depends entirely on the appearance of Grievous, as I'm sold on the Wheel Bike itself. *EDIT* This or my other post can be ignored, as both are more or less saying the same thing.
  14. I am so getting that Imperial Battle Pack! I finally have my chance to get some Imperial Guards . The Kashyyyk Battle Pack has some epic Clone minifigures as well. The Microfighters are pathetic IMO, and are a real waste of space. There's a second set containing a Wookiee which I'm not seeing, unless it is the Droid Gunship. The V-Wing and AT-AP look uninteresting, and I am disappointed that Grievous' Wheel Bike doesn't come with the Boga, though the Wheel Bike itself looks pretty good. Anakin's Jed Interceptor does not look like a worthwhile purchase either. The Battle of Saleucami could be a good army builder, but I do not see the Battle of Utapau set that was mentioned in the rumours. I also do not see the Droid Tri-Fighter that was mentioned. Either way, it does not look like I will be buying many of these sets, except from multiple Imperial Battle Packs and 1 Kashyyyk Battle Pack, and possibly the Wheel Bike as well if it looks more impressive in finalized pictures. Thanks for the pictures commanderneyo.
  15. That much is true. It's a good thing that we are getting Rhinos at least. The Speedorz sets are, as always, a total mystery, as is the whereabouts of the Beavers and Bears. If we don't see Bears or Beavers in January, perhaps we will see them in the summer wave. Whatever happens, this theme gets more promising every day. Bring on 2014!
  16. So we now have, potentially, scorpions, bats and spiders? Where are the beavers and bears?
  17. These sets sound interesting. The Penguin set sounds good for me because, being a TFOL, I will have no chance of affording Arkham Asylum anytime soon, so getting Penguin in such a good set, redesign or not, will be good. The Man-Bat set sounds decent, though I am hoping that they distinguish Man-Bat from the Monster Fighters bats which a lot of people have been using as Man-Bat so far. The Riddler Chase, though we have already seen it a while ago, is one I have not commented on yet. It's a poor set, and for me the only things that would make me consider buying it are Riddler and Flash, as I have yet to get a Riddler minifigure yet and it is also good to get a non-Batman hero in DC sets for once. The Joker's Steam Roller sounds incredibly unusual, but depending on what other heroes and villains are included, as well as the design of the steamroller, it could turn out to be a decent set. As for Marvel, I imagine that we will get Marvel sets as the Summer wave, just like in 2012. As for what we will see, I cannot really guess due to there being so many movies to draw from next year. And we still haven't yet had or heard anything about a Thor 2 set, and it would be disappointing if Marvel neglected making sets from that movie. Next year is looking to be another interesting year for the Superheroes theme. Hopefully the sets will be of better quality than the one set we have seen so far.
  18. I would have loved to see the video, but it has been removed on copyright grounds. Oh well. Those GIFs showing the characters and the shot of all of them together is enough to make me curious about this film at the very least. This could end up being a very interesting film.
  19. That speculated wave of sets sounds decent enough, though I am curious as to how LEGO are going to be able to make the £20 and £30 sets large enough to warrant those prices. The only real issue I have with these sets is the fact that we get Sherri and Terri before characters such as Ralph, Chief Wiggum, Sideshow Bob, Moe and others, though I am sure all these characters will come in future waves if this first wave sells well enough to warrant future waves.I eagerly await pictures of these sets.
  20. Saw Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters earlier today. It was an excellent film IMO, and was leaps and bounds better than The Lightning Thief (which was a good film). The fact that Sea of Monsters was much more accurate to its book counterpart than The Lightning Thief was does help. It wasn't entirely accurate by any means, but it was accurate enough for my tastes. So far my best film of 2013, having so far seen Wreck-It Ralph (very good), Oz: The Great & Powerful (decent), Man of Steel (very good, slightly better than Wreck-It Ralph), Monsters University (good) and Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters this year.
  21. The new Thor 2 trailer looks good. I'm interested to see how dark this one gets in comparison to the original, and to other MCU films in general. After all, it is called The Dark World, and the trailer makes it even more obvious that Marvel are making this film into a darker film while still maintaining the comedy factor of all their films so far.
  22. Just 3 more CMFs from Series 10:
  23. Now that I'm only counting films I have seen in cinemas in this topic (the range of DVDs I watch is extremely limited), the last film I saw was Monsters University a few days ago. It wasn't as good as I had hoped, but it was decent enough.
  24. At the moment I do not have many wishes for future DC/Marvel minifigures, though that is mainly because of my lack of comic knowledge. The only characters I truly wish to see in the future are the following: Marvel: Green Goblin (comic version, not awful USM version), Carnage, Rhino (again, comic version), Electro (comic version too) and the Hulkbuster Iron Man armour (preferably Iron Man 3 version) DC: Green Arrow (different to SDCC version), Killer Moth, Bizarro (different to SDCC version), Green Lantern (in some form) and Sinestro
  25. The only thing that bothers me about the distribution of this series is the fact that 3 of my top 5 minifigures only get 2 figures each in a box of 60. It's even more annoying when that includes my favourite figure of the series, which is the Tiki Warrior. And then it get's more annoying when the weakest figure of the entire series (in my opinion), which is the Lady Robot, gets 4 figures in the box of 60. I am not impressed with the distribution of this series. At all. It's the first time since they starting putting certain minifigures in the box a mere 2 times out of 60, which in my opinion was a ridiculous enough in itself, that I have been annoyed with the way TLG has distributed the minifigures in the box. Oh well, I'll still probably complete this series, one way or another.
