http://i.newsarama.com/images/i/000/112/082/original/yondu-1.png?1377287821 I'm not sure if this has been posted before, but this is an image of Yondu as he is to appear in Guardians of the Galaxy (I believe the picture is taken from one of the film sets). Does anyone know anything about Yondu, because I really don't, so I don't know what will make him relevant or anything else to do with the character.

Perhaps in the film they go to Wakanda at some point for some reason (possibly to flee from or find Ultron) and meet the king of Wakanda, but leave it at that. That way, they wouldn't have brought in the hero himself but will have set up perfectly for a Black Panther film in Phase 3. Here's hoping.

On an unrelated note, I'm seriously wondering how Batroc the Leaper is going to be relevant to the plot of The Winter Soldier. It seems very random to add him into the mix.

I noticed that as well. If I had to take a guess, it's either intended to look covered in snow or simply painted over for some reason (the second seems more likely). As for what the purpose of the shield looking like that is, we simply cannot know at this present time. I doubt it is of much importance though.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014 Rumors & Discussion
Lord Rahl of Clannad replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
That Karai set is brilliant . Easily a definite buy for me, especially as Karai has currently been one of my favourite characters from the show so far. The build of the Mutation Chamber isn't great in itself, but I'm certainly impressed with the Raph variant. It does surprise me that they chose Spiderbytez to be in this set though, seeing as he has only appeared once so far. I'm not really sure what to think of the T-Rawket set really. The T-Rawket isn't bad, and the Mikey and Donnie variants are good, but from what I've seen of Series 2 so far, I don't really like Kirby Bat (or whatever it's supposed to be called). That Kraang ship that comes with it doesn't impress me too much either. The Turtle Sub is very good and accurate to the show, plus it comes with Leatherhead . Overall, this wave looks like another great wave from this theme. Now here's hoping that the movie sets don't disappoint either. -
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014 Rumors & Discussion

Wow. That image has made me extremely excited for the upcoming TMNT wave. The new Turtle variations (Raphael in particular) are brilliant, and the builds shown are certainly an improvement on the first wave of sets. The Turtle Sub looks excellent and very accurate, and the addition of Leatherhead (who looks amazing) in that set makes it a must-buy for me. The build for the other set is looking pretty good as well, but I am amazed that they made the decision to include Spider Bytez in that set; he only appeared in one episode after all. It's an interesting choice, but I don't mind it at all. I'm disappointed that they didn't show off Karai here, as that's what I'm looking forward to most in this wave. It's also a shame that the T-Rocket wasn't shown, but I can wait on that on. Bring on May 2014! -

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. Brilliant film, despite the cliffhanger at the end. Easily the best film I've seen in 2013. -
After seeing people suggest this multiple times, I decided to re-watch the trailer and pay it much more attention. From this I was able to tell that those are indeed Vulture's wings, rather than Green Goblin's glider. They are definitely going for the Sinister Six in these films, which should certainly be very interesting.

First proper trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Surprisingly this looks pretty good, but I'm really not happy with Rhino being little more than a man in a mech suit. *EDIT* Other notable details include a scene which hints at Green Goblin and shows an area of Oscorp with Goblin's glider and, interestingly, Doctor Octopus' mechanical arms. Could Doc Ock be in The Amazing Spider-Man 3?

Well if Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver are receiving no real development, I hope that their roles aren't as redundant and uninteresting as those of Black Widow and Hawkeye, by which I mean I hope that they at least have actual superpowers rather than spy skills to make their roles more interesting.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014 Rumors & Discussion
Lord Rahl of Clannad replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'm glad to see that this theme is continuing and expanding after all, though I'm hoping the set designs are an improvement on the sets we saw this year. I'm very excited for the Karai minifigure, and I'm sure the other sets will have certain characters/elements to grab my attention. As for the movie sets, those could be interesting depending on how they are managed and what the set and minifigure designs actually look like. The only thing about the movie wave that I'm not happy about is how long us in the UK will have to wait for it. The movie's release has been pushed back from May to October, so it's unlikely that us in the UK will get these sets before then. I can always hope though. -
So does the inclusion of these two in Avengers 2 mean that Joss Whedon is adding another two characters who will receive little to no prior backstory in the cinematic universe, a la Black Widow and Hawkeye?

Super Heroes 2014 Rumors & Discussion
Lord Rahl of Clannad replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
This DC wave isn't as bad as some people are saying, though the New 52 Nightwing is a horrific design. The Joker Steamroller is one of the worst set designs I have ever seen. Then there are the Marvel sets. While the sets themselves don't seem too bad and seem to have a good range of minifigures, I'm highly disappointed that we do not seem to be getting any sets from Thor 2 or Captain America 2. Thor 2 would have had unique sets and a wide range of characters, including some amazing designs such as Malekith and Odin. These are character we are not likely to see now, which is very disappointing in my opinion. As for Captain America 2, it disappoints me to see we are getting no sets from that simply because it means that we will not get the Winter Soldier in LEGO form this year, and probably not for a while. Even so, I am going to hold out hope that there will be an exclusive set for each movie, or just for Captain America 2 if one exclusive for both is impossible.- 9,756 replies

Recently seen Thor: The Dark World and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire in cinemas over the last couple of weeks. Thor: The Dark World was brilliant and one of the best Marvel movies so far IMO (only Avengers beats it). The end-credits scene was enjoyable as well. As for Catching Fire, it was the best film I have watched this year by far, and was very accurate to the book as well (only a few bits were missing from the books, and a few things were added). Definitely worth the wait. Next up will be The Desolation of Smaug. -

LOTR & The Hobbit 2013 Set Discussion
Lord Rahl of Clannad replied to CM4Sci's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
While the set builds certainly aren't the best this time around, many of the new minifigures released in these sets are spectacular . I'm glad that this line, unlike most other LEGO Licensed lines, is getting all of the most important characters released throughout its lifetime. Hopefully the same will apply for next year's Hobbit sets as well. Until then, bring on the Desolation of Smaug!- 7,499 replies

While I am glad that this game has now been confirmed, it's absurd that they're only releasing it with levels from the first two movies, before inevitably releasing another game later on with levels from There & Back Again . It's a crafty money-making technique, which I'm sure many kids will fall for, but I think I will just wait for the second game to come out at some point in 2015.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Discussion
Lord Rahl of Clannad replied to BlueberryWaffles's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Even though Splinter said at the end of part 2 of the season finale that he wouldn't yet tell the Turtles what he had discovered from Shredder because "this is a time for celebration", I believe that there may be another reason that he is keeping the knowledge secret from the Turtles, particularly Leonardo. As we know, Leo has a soft spot for Karai, which Splinter eventually discovered, and now that Splinter knows that Karai is actually Miwa, he may not want to tell Lero about this, as it may make Leo try to get close to Karai again to try and get her on "their side", which could end up leading to another encounter with Shredder, which would end up placing Leo, the other Turtles and Splinter at risk. In hindsight, this all made much more sense in my head . -
The Simpsons 2014 Rumors & Discussion
Lord Rahl of Clannad replied to Morten's topic in LEGO Licensed
They better not make this theme into a CMF series. For one, the characters from the show are more or less pointless without a LEGO Simpsons layout, which could only really be provided by sets or by MOCers with the appropriate pieces. Also, I do not want to see this theme replace a possible wave of regular CMFs. Series 12 is fair enough, as figures who are likely to appear in it from the movie would fit in well with the rest of the CMFs; the rumour of Series 14 being based on characters in the LEGO Minifigures MMO is something I can tolerate for the same reason; The Simpsons does not fit into this. If Series 13 is indeed based on The Simpsons, I will be bitterly disappointed. *EDIT*Apologies for the slightly off-topic rant. -
Just another Series 11 minifigure (not too impressed with this one, but I'll be getting them all eventually anyways, so it doesn't really matter):

To my surprise, I ended up going to the cinema again the other day to see The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones with my family. Having not read the book myself, I thought it was a decent film, even if numerous tings were left unexplained by the film. My sister, who has read the book, complained about how the film was inaccurate to the book for hours afterwards. -
Just my first Series 11 minifigure today:
