  1. That is far from being a useless minifig...imo.
  2. Nice Ares, Masked Bulder...and welcome, dverburg, nice additions to the thread there.
  3. Thanks, Dr.! That is the torso I was asking about and it is darn perfect...how've I not seen it before?
  4. I always get happy when I see Hammerstein has posted new stuff. Very impresssive, my friend. ;)
  5. What is that Black Panther torso? I'd love to switch it out with the plain, black one I'm using.
  6. They are pretty...super-hero-y. I'm sure you will at least B'link one or two, at some point (a purist Cyborg was too much for me to resist with this minifig).
  7. Yup, that's a great Wasp torso, Hulk_Smash...and ReZource--that is almost a perfect head for Dum-Dum. Great job, guys.
  8. Here is another group of 5 (I like groups of 5!!):
  9. Those Trailer Park Boys are a big hit here, autorazr. My wife loves them. I hope we get a J-Rock soon...and are those Ray's pee bottles? So I have a few figbarfs to share. It's a good term for me, since I usually come up with them after working on some other customs, with parts left over and such. I really enjoy looking at other's creations, so I hope you guys enjoy too. Bawce Dawg's monster fighters: RoboJuctice (hint, hint...they are bad guys): A bit of a crew of Misfits:
  10. All LEGO minifigs are usable to the customizers...I agree with Oky about this thread being somewhat pointless. No offense to anyone, especially the OP...but obvious is obvious.
  11. autorazr: I haven't forgotten this thread...I'm having some issues finding the time to photograph my dudemans. I hope to get something up later today, though. ;)
  12. I just saw the images of the Simpson's CMF line and got so jealous, my complexion turned a sickly green hue. LEGOdisneyDCmarvel need to figure out why they want to keep missing the boat on what would easily be the greatest CMF lines of all time.
  13. The closest thing I can think of is the light grey torso from the CMF alien.
  14. Cool...now I have something to do with that extra Red Skull I got. I will also be copying that Gladiator...too cool.
  15. I think I can speak for a few of us here who would love to see your work. Critique and praise lead to great things. ;) I have a theory that 'purist', as a term, was created by a LEGO insider. Somehow, however, I find myself usually trying to remain purist. Still, I've cut, chopped and borrowed from other sources a number of times, so the ideal must not have taken too good of a hold on me.
  16. Great topic...love that alien girl-band and the Eagle Patriot. I have a bunch of stuff to share when I get home. I didn't know/think other AFOLs were really into creating new characters...I dig it!
  17. Hey nerd, your Metamorpho and Grifter are excellent. Nice job. @autorazr: The New Gods are a fave of mine, very excited to see someone else doing them. For some more, try: Steppenwolf (there are two versions, I've only made the red one), Kalibak (some of the Hobbit's dwarve have good hair/beards for this), Parademons, High Father...
  18. You could mention, "Too expensive", without "outing" the price. Dude is just trying to advertise his new business and stay within the guidelines of the site. You seem ticked off that they are out of your price range, as I would guess all pad-printed customs would be ($40/per is quite normal). I could agree, except I understand what it takes to start up a new business, especially one as niche and expensive as pad printing. I'd challenge anyone to find this sort of quality for cheaper. Sure, you can buy cheaper customs, but I'd doubt if they were pad printed. Also, these designs are very top notch. Congrats and good job, DarkKnight7. Money is tight right now, but if I find myself with some disposable income, I could see scooping that Gamb...ahem, Kinetic Man. I'd put these up there with Christo et al.
  19. http://en.wikipedia....n_(Wesley_Dodds) Guys, this is some great stuff. I'm a bit overwhelmed by how much new stuff I have to copy.
  20. Yeah, I hear ya...just don't mind a little wandering. :) Also, you will love the Hydra set. The $20 sets are usually pretty good and the Hydra tank is my favorite yet from that price point.
  21. One reason I could see some sets from Flash more than Arrow is that Flash has more recognizable villians and a less "ninja-y" theme. On top of that, Flash is just a positive guy. All of that could make sets more attractive to TLG, at least.
  22. I disagree. This is a show that is coming soon and will/should spawn many rumors/hopes of seeing some minifigs from it...it's the most on-topic this thread has been for awhile now, imo. Anyone hear what villians might appear on the show? Personally, I don't think we would ever see minifigs ors sets from Arrow or Flash. Arrow (and I am assuming Flash will follow suit, which could very well be wrong on my part) is violent and a bit sexualized. TLG group usually likes things to be a little less...adult. If I wrong, however, it would make me a happy man.
  23. Yeah, cartoony colors work...in cartoons (and LEGO form!!). In movies and shows, those broght colors would, imo, make the hero/villian look laughable. Live action superhero themes attempt to show the content realistically (otherwise, why not just animate it?)...in reality, a person would be more successful in darker colors...harder for thugs to aim at. I'd suggest people just try and enjoy the difference that different media brings. We don't need the same looks done over and over. If something new can be brought to the look, try it out...variety is the spice of life.
  24. Whelp, I did up a Vanisher this morning...thanks for the idea, ianmrid. What torso did you use, though? I'd love to get that, as it's almost perfect.
  25. Ah yes, Shocker...honestly, the female torso threw me off a bit. Also, I dig the Julia Carpenter, but think the Catwoman head might look good on her too.
