  1. Who is that first one, Rezourceman? Also, what idea did autorazr highlight? Ahm outta the loop!
  2. I was only kidding!!! Well, that is D-U-M-B.
  3. Sorry, our bad. We didn't clear our conversation topic with you. Won't happen again. Wait...who are you? The 4-minute trailer for Cap 2 has me pretty hyped. I can't imagine they would make sets for the film and not include the other titular character than CA...here's hoping, anyway.
  4. When I was a kid, my female action figures held special value, since there just weren't many of them. I agree that most boys probably don't play with them...but many do, I'd imagine? @Korpen:
  5. Mohawk'd Storm is probably most attractive to those of us 35yo+. It's how she was introduced to us. I would be very, very surprised (pleasantly) if she were to ever make an appearance in LEGO form, however. Also, anyone who thinks controlling weather is a boring power is just plain wrong.
  6. Oh I know...autorazr and I go back more than a few pages. He is our resident 'yellow guy'. :) I was just letting him know which head I used on my Oberon, many pages back.
  7. I used Joshamee Gibbs (might have the name wrong) from Pirates of Carribean. Fairly close to the head Cult_of_Skaro linked.
  8. Yeah, I'm pretty stoked about how that breastplate turned out--might have to alter my Barda to match. Also, I really, really dig your Oberon...like, alot.
  9. Nice, autorazr--the New Gods are some my favorite comic characters, visually. I made these same customs, many pages back, including an Orion.
  10. Wonder Woman isn't wearing pants in her LEGO form.
  11. A loose MJ on Bricklink goes for under $10...the GG is around $20. I hate the GG, the Luke Cage is easy to make a purist custom of (so is MJ) and who the heck wants another Spidey, in the same ole costume? Bricklink is the way to go, for me.
  12. I did this and like it 10x better. The printed legs just don't say "MM" at all, to me. I'd love some boots, though.
  13. Yeah, I got this set today...it's been awhile since a set came around that made me so excited for work to end. I'll be building this bad boy with a smile on my face tonight. Now...if only I could get my hands on another Hydra agent. Hello? Bricklink?
  14. I just got this guy and dig him. I don't notice any quality difference, if anyone was worried about that. I will be switching his hips and legs, however, to match a more "classic" theme. The New 52 can go play in traffic, as far as I'm concerned.
  15. No one disrespected you. We, like you, enjoy voicing our opinions on public forums. You explained yourself well enough and that's cool but from our earlier conversations, I wonder if you are just a bit biased against Marvel (which is a totally valid opinion, btw)? Marvel Avengers and GotG are really saving the super hero line(s) for me, this year. I've been heavily critical toward TLG for the newest Batman and Spiderman sets, so I must gives props when they are due. Decent builds with bases, recognizable vehicles (or least in a non-descript way, like the Hydra "tank") and great minifigs who are all either brand new or an alternate version. Kudos to LEGO for these sets!
  16. Many of us see a minifig's ability to be creepy or evil as a very good thing. Here's to hoping LEGO keeps that up. I finally have some sets to buy after what I found to be verrrrry disappointing Spiderman and Batman sets.
  17. So, I've been waiting to buy the new Marvel sets to get the MM polybag in March, but notice the LEGO site says 'sold out'. I've never seen the new stuff sold out so fast and was wondering what it means? Do you guys think these sets will these sets be available in March?
  18. ^this could work. Just rip those sleeves of and give her bare arms. Punk Storm FTW!
  19. I like this version of Storm best too...is there a good, black leather jacket you could give her?
  20. Korpen thinks he is funny. He already almost got a great thread shut down a few days ago with his "humor". Thing is, Korpen, there are many, many of us that can't stand the newer sets, especially, in my case, the DC side of things. I am not a part of some big boycott or conspiracy, I only know what my purchase history is. When the Super Hero line came out, I was ga-ga and for a long time, bought everything with that logo, even if I wasn't crazy about the set. I wanted my wallet to show I was happy they were even doing these sets. The amount I've purchased has, however, dwindled to the point of not buying ANY of the new Batman sets. I have become increasingly dismayed about the state of this line and just won't spend my money on a red Nightwing, Man-Bat (easy to make a better purist custom, with ripped jeans!), more Batmobiles, rehashed villians (Joker, Penguin and Riddler ALL came out in the last 1.5yrs!!), etc. I'm just not buying it. End of story. Expand DC, beyond the current scope: One new JL member a year, in a set completely unrelated to that character? Uh, no. When the TLGDisneyTimeWarnerFoxABCetc committee figures it out, I'll be here, cash in hand. Cool locations, recognizable vehicles, variety of mini-figs. Nuff said.
  21. Not having those goggles for Impulse, on top of not really being able to pull off the cool red/white legs is sort of rough, but I can sort of see it. I think, however, I am going to retool my Angel a bit. I might have to B'link a few more of these Flash heads, though.
  22. Guys, there is this thing called PMs...they keep threads open. I especially want this thread to stay open, as it is the only thread I even really visit on these forums. So, I picked up a couple of the new Batman sets with the Flash. Any ideas for customs using that sweet head?
  23. Autorazr, I can't remember, but have you done an Arcade to round out your Avengers Arena group? I am really digging that Kid Briton too, btw. Also, I copied your Domino and am very happy, as she is one of my favorites. The funny thing is, I've always had that head in mind. The twist to the hair was inspiring. The only difference with mine is that I used Faora's body, turning the torso around. I'd snap a pic, but apparently, dropping one's camera from the table is not recommended. Anyway, thanks for the idea!
  24. Well, the attempt was appreciated and I don't see the harm, since it is pretty much the same 5-10 people having the discussion and showing work...but, rules is rules, I guess. I agree that the Domino is great (I'm at my bench, working on stealing it as I type this) (love that Cloak and Dagger too) but I hope autorazr always stays true to being our resident yellow-head.
  25. Until proof says otherwise, I think you might have set a new LEGO record here. Congrats on the climb!
