UrbanErwin replied to BrickBuff's topic in LEGO Train Tech
That is pretty clever, the low centre of gravity definitely useful on a elevated track. -

A version 3 has been build, with improved drive train [/url] USRA 0-8-0 version 3 [Main] by UrbanErwin(EPJL), on Flickr USRA 0-8-0 version 3 by UrbanErwin(EPJL), on Flickr And this is what happens when you aren't careful when handling an engine like this. oh crap by UrbanErwin(EPJL), on Flickr The complete timeline of this engine; [link to album]

Thanks, I indeed miss the play value a bit now, but this layout will be part of a group layout made together with a few other builders, then the play value will be back. Thanks Thank you very much.

Using Duplo bricks as structure elements?
UrbanErwin replied to Andy D's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I would suggest using whatever pieces you don't use but are still the right size or shape (for me that is almost anything from this catalog) And if you want to buy lots of 2X4 bricks, I would suggest buying used ones, they will disappear anyway, right? -
It has been posted before. Still a very interesting idea

GE Dash 9-44CW /w Canadian National livery in 7 wide [WIP]
UrbanErwin replied to legoman666's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Nice my only question is, is the front not a little too high, or was it necessary because of the motor in the engine? -
A great design, both the open and brakevan are looking great.
